Does this guy hire non cdl drivers? I’m out here in ATL and want to get a box truck business running but I’m not there yet need good work for bit to start that endeavor. I’m not worried about the lay offs because I see to many driver out here complaining about making 300-500 a day. If I can survive for years doing rideshare making 200 for 10-12 hrs work minus 30 dollar gas then I see no reason these dudes making 1,500 a week can’t save money improve and scale up
The problem is, major companies utilize government subsidies and deals that have been grandfathered in for years. How do you think they’ve survived and been able to offer work in house? Federal agencies are no longer profitable anymore (ex: USPS). Secondly, others like FedEx are sliming there divisions because it’s no longer in the position to to carry so much. Long gone are the days to bargain for anything. Pick and choose what works but I doubt it’s going to be an industry where you can rely on independence. Maybe 50% self employment and 50% with a job.
The industry is dead Vic. If you didn’t get a contract or buy in to a massive corporation 2 years; give it up. Yellow, JB Hunt, and others have already out there cards on the table. The game isn’t the same owner op or driver.
Bigg Vic thank you very much. I tell people we need to grow enhance our minds. "Work your mind" that's awesome keep the motivation running
I needed this bro. I’m transitioning from my job to trucking now. I’m using some of the money that I make to buy my truck and pay for essentials.
💯💪🏾
Good info Sir. Mind set & action is required.
That was powerful wisdom king
100% agree. Heard what your friend said and immediately thought "great, opportunities about to pop off". I feel for those who lost their jobs though.
Hats off to you brother. Hats off to ya!! Like fr we need to link up. Ive been trying for years

The difference is there expenses. If they got a note and insurance. Whole new ball game
I agree with the layoffs. Sherwin Williams just laid off salary employees throughout the network. 🤔🤔🤔
Low freight rates and high fuel prices. Bad combination! 🤨🤨
The trucking industry is getting worse and other truck companies are going to be laying off drivers as well.

Hey J, how are ya? 😊🙌🏾
Why laid off?
Did companies lose customer/contract s?
Are the steps to start a box truck the same as a commercial truck?
