Ants React To Cockroaches | All Colonies Feeding

  • To sum it up, I feed all of my colonies a single roach.
    Its been a while since I’ve made a dedicated feeding video, so I went ahead and found a roach, tore it to pieces (freezing it first of course), and fed it to all of my ant colonies. I find my roaches in my house, but now that there’s roach poisoning around here, I’ll have to go to the park and find roaches there instead.
    Hope you enjoy this feeding video!

    In my experience naked pupae that are supposed to have cocoons but don’t still do well. But occasionally the fellow workers might attack it as even kill it.

      Hopefully it doesn’t happen to mine, thanks for the reassurance!

      Yeah. I doubt it will, mine must have been just some freak accident.

      A few of my lasius workers become so just before they get spinned in a coocon. so i dont think you have to worry about it, since it have happend to me a few times.

    Best ant channel ever. The fact that you keep many colonies keeps this channel’s content interesting and fresh.

    Ah! Cockroaches in my stomach! And their wings stuck between my teeth. The sound of their bodies popping and the milky ooze splattering on the desk. What could be better than munching on cockroaches and feeling their legs slowly scratch their way down my esophogus... 😐

    can I ask a question
    I had captured a tetramorium bicarinatum and I've been having a queen and brood for soo long any tips and how do I keep her warm

    • @EnderAnts
      @EnderAnts  5 років тому

      All I can say is to keep her in an undisturbed place, and keep patient. Since they’re fully-claustral she’ll lay eggs and have nanitics in a month or so without needing to check on her.
      To keep her warm I would keep her in a warmer room, somewhere in a closet or drawer, and not under direct sunlight which can kill her.

    Why is it so hard to find drones flying in my state.
    I live in Louisiana

    • @EnderAnts
      @EnderAnts  4 роки тому

      Not sure, but if you do find drones, you’re either right on time, or too early. Whenever I find drones, I also find queens, or just drones. But I find more queens than drones, so it could also mean that more alates are produced than drones. Not exactly sure.

    Cockroaches are really resilient to pesticides... you shouldn’t feed them cockroaches from outside..
