The legend is finally back! Btw what camera do you use? I'd like to get better close ups of my ants all I'm using rn is a clip on macro lens for my phone
i heard only the eastern ones are polygynous, and the western ones aren’t. i only keep these together until i can move them into test tube setups, because if i dont, they end up fighting after a few days
@TmanMoneymanISSUPREME maybe variant. they don’t have the exact same color as molesta, but i’m certain they are solenopsis. some of the ones i caught this year are slightly darker that resemble S. molesta more so it could also just be a color variant.
I have a huge wild caught colony of tiny big headed ants or I that's what I think they might be tetramorium but i caught them on one of those plastic swimming pools the plastic swimming pool was abandoned so I caught some of them....I caught a alot of ants they even almost fully occupied my plastic container terrarium and there were a lot left but I couldn't catch all so yeah

Thief ants can have many queens in one colony, in fact, I’ve heard they do better when with multiple queens, they are very polygynous

Not sure but I’m thinking some kind of Solenopsis or Solenopsis molesta kind of species

yes, i think they are solenopsis molesta
About a month ago I caught about 40 of those only a few are still alive
@@Reptileowner i usually catch a lot too, but most don't make it past laying eggs :(
