No, by definition it would enhance it. Stupidity is the lack of intelligence, not knowledge. Having knowledge is being wise, and having intelligence is being smart. Your intelligence is determined by environmental factors before you even turn 7, including things like how curious or interested you are in different topics and how you pursue them. Once information is no longer valuable, curiosity dies and with it intelligence. So no, this will not put an end to stupidity but will in fact have the opposite effect. It will be common for mindless people with no consciousness of their own to instantly recall mountains of information in an instant without any real understanding. Debates will become worthless, those who would go on to have innovative ideas will instead be placed into a factory where they will not be allowed free thought or will. The deaf and blind will be cured solely for the purpose of adding more numbers and dollar signs to the plates of cooperations. People are scaremongering about this technology. I am actually one of the first people to receive an implanted Neurolink so I can give you some real insight into the thing. It's greatly helped with my coordination and reduced fatigue, although on the downside it does ELON MUSK IS MY HERO and occasionally when the battery is low it will ELON MUSK IS MY HERO. For everyone claiming it's an ELON MUSIC IS A GREAT MAN that's just ridiculous as there's no way a simple cortical transducer could ELON MUSC IS A GREAT MAN. I hope that sets some minds at ease.

nothing. It will obviously be up to you whether you want it or not. This will change people's lives especially for those with disabilities. Fear limits your ability to reason. People get so worried about this just like nuclear bombs or rampant AI but I'm more worried about the stagnant wages for Americans because for the first time in America's history, we have a generation doing worse than their parents. What I'm saying is there's risk on both sides. If the pie doesn't grow, people will start fighting each other within our own country, or the rest of the world with much different ideals will simply overtake us.

I remember a long time ago there was an episode of Star Trek where one of the crew members broke his back and one of the treatments was to implant little devices throughout the body that communicate with a device implanted in the motor cortex.
I mean somebody who has a broken spine this could be the first step towards that to regaining movement.
