Lyrics (As written by KiwiKenobi, with the opening line changed by me to reflect the tranlation better) I just realized, to me that game's new It was the first. As I recall It was a cartridge of light blue I chose a level But I couldn't get far at all 'Cause every time when I tried just to ride on those platforms I'd always fall. Oh! Can't be done! Can't be done! I don't have the skill to clear this part Can't be done! Can't be done! More than I can handle So then, is there any hope? Is there any hope? Should I just give up now? It's so difficult, I really should give up. Good night Now that I’m thinking, I haven’t even tried Another stage, I just keep playing on the same one, though I died I chose another, I hoped that I could get past this part But even though I could see where to go I got stuck at the steps at the start Can't be done! Can't be done! This is far beyond what I can do Can't be done! Can't be done! All my effort ends in defeat So then, is there still no hope? Is there still no hope? Should I just give up now? It's so difficult, but I will not give up! Good luck! It was hard, but somehow I took out every one Then that familiar doctor came to ruin all my fun With all that I had fought and suffered, and everything I'd learned I thought that my skills had advanced But then I saw that yellow thing with one eye I didn't stand a chance. AAAAAAA! Can't be done! Can't be done! I don't have the skill to clear this part Can't be done! Can't be done! More than I can handle! So then, is there any hope? Is there any hope? Should I just give up now? No, I swear I never will give up! Can this be? Can this be? Is this really all that I can do? It's too much, I can't win, I will never clear this. Though I die forevermore, die forevermore, I won't let it beat me. I will play this game 'til victory is mine! Whoa-oh-oh! AAAAAAA! Is there any hope? Is there any hope? Is there any hope? Is there any hope? Is there any hope? There's no hope! I will never sleep! I will never sleep! 'Til I clear this level, I will never sleep!
Thank you. If I ever have time, I really should make an updated version of this video. Even when I first uploaded it I wasn't completely satisfied with the outcome. Not much experience in subbing I'm afraid.
maybe it would be nice to use "'til I clear this level, I will not* sleep" so that the syllables match but other than that, this actually goes so hard, and as far as I know kiwikenobi is the person that wrote and sung the english version of airman ga taosenai, right? that's awesome :D edit: my bad, I didn't know kenobi had already made a translated version of this song themselves, I thought these were just proposed lyrics lol but yeah still pretty awesome
That little bit about him beating all the games except Rockman 1 implies that he finally defeated Airman and Woodman in Rockman 2. He finally did it, gamers
Before playing Megaman 2 for the first time, the Airman song made me think he was going to be super hard, only to find out he wasn't very, and is an absolute cakewalk with the Leaf Shield. This whole game however, Rockman1/Megaman1, is absolutely brutal in comparison, especially the Gutsman and Iceman stages for those insane platforming sections. I can relate to this song more than the Airman one.
This is in no way an exaggeration. The player of this game has only played the later nes megaman games. The game is significantly harder then every later megaman game. Just because you beat Mega Man 2 on normal does not mean you are ready at ALL to beat this game without the pause glitch. Gutsman was a lousy choice to start with, and without cutman's blade, it's indeed hard to even get off the first screen in elecman's stagemaking it an even worse second attempt. But with practice it's doable. And sure enough with perseverance he manages to get to the Yellow devil, which is the real brick wall of the game. You expect it to be hard, but it manages to be even more brutal then expected. Without using the pause trick, you will get brutally kicked to the curb until you get the reflexes, the knowledge, AND the stamina to win. But you can't turn off the game at this point, or you have to start ALL OVER FROM THE BEGINNING. Hence, "i'll never sleep until i clear it!" With all the work to even get to that point, you don't want to give up. especially if you struggled a lot to get there. This game crushed a LOT of souls back in the day, until the cheat got spread, and you could beat the yellow devil the first time the eye opened.

I've beaten the first Mega Man on the Virtual Console but I had to use the pause trick to beat the Yellow Devil... Maybe someday I'll try to win without it.

@@KyureiProductions that was me replying to some d-bag att who was talking smack. Most likely about the quality of the subtitles. Back when I cared a lot more about those kinds of comments than I do now.
I will side with the player in this song, Mega Man 1 is SUPER HARD!!!
David Bartko Exactly, I never managed to beat it when i had my NES.
SouprSpookr2020 I beat it but it is hard.
I can't beat the Yellow devil without cheating
Mega Man 2 is so popular today. Difficult is hard
It really puts Megaman 2 to shame. But so far I think the hardest of them all is Rockman & Forte. It's bullshit hard and frustrating. Kinda like Ninja Gaiden.
@@autumnm716 I can't beat the Yellow devil without using the pause glitch to drain its health. :/
500/5!!! i love the song!!! and the begginning made that guy playing megaman look noob O.O it is sometimes hard to beat a megaman stage, but not THAT hard O.O
My body is ready!
Seriously, why are all of Nekokan's videos getting taken down except for SPANISH videos and poor english covers? Whoever is taking them down is a huge jerk!
idk why apparently Japan is still pissed because we won ww2
I am referring to the subtitles.
pommybomber yeah the english cover is horrible
pommybomber I wish I could tell you. Hey, maybe you can use this as an excuse to take some Spanish classes. 😉
ah yes. 1 am. want to sleep. coffee mug. homework.
that's the jam.
*Masterpiece.*
@Sonicforever231
Objection!
There was no Easy Mode back in the original Megaman 1 or Rockman 1.
This is me while playing Metroid Prime 2. I ran into a bunch of bosses I thought were impossible to beat, but I got past them. Now I'm on Emperor Ing and Dark Samus Final, but I keep losing to them (mostly Emperor Ing, all phases). Now I hardly ever play it, because I feel that a game stops being fun if you've lost to the same boss for the umpteenth time in a row.
IT'S IMPOSSIBLE IMPOSIBLE!!! Can't sleep until read subtitles!
I've listen to this song in 2012, in a video of a Guy trying to beat Megaman. Soooo hilarious... in the end, he does. I want so bad to see that video again, but cant find in YT. 😭😭😭😭
This is very accurate
Everytime I play Dark Souls.
It's impossible, impossible
Impossible for me
It's impossible, impossible
I just can't get past it
Is this it? Is this as far as I can go?
Should I just give up? No! I won't let it end like this!
Inhale My Mega-buster Enragement Doctor - Megaman, Maybe...
That Fire Man part in the sprite battles rings so damn true that it hurts
So fast-paced!
Best theme in fnafb
you can't change my mind
@DylanHilldog ..... the platforms.....the nightmares..
The Yellow guy is even harder in the sequels LOL....
funky 3's fatality badge got me like

MEGA MAN'S MANLY SPIRIT WILL NOT BE DESTROYED
Todo el tiempo que a pasado dios mio con esta wea yo creci 😭
Someone's never heard of Mega Man Powered Up (Rockman Rockman in Japan). Maybe this song came out before its release?
Funnly enough, i struggled to both elec mans and gutsmans stage. I never beat iceman (Yet)
Good for you, coz I never beat ANYONE to this VERY DAY!!!!
(I suck at non-momentum platforming)
I completly agree. (weeps at death/cancellation of megaman legends 3)
That just made my brain explode *_o
When you play Fire Emblem Fates Conquest on lunatic. Speaking of which if someone could rewrite the lyrics for that game it would be amazing.
Then what about mega man zero
TOP 10 MEJORES CANCIONES DEL ANIME
finally....I know what the last beam was supposed to be.....
Plasma cannon vs elec man...
in this song, i can understand why the first and third part of the song, but not the second part of the song.
If you don't have Cutman's blade (and he didn't at the time), it's not easy to tag the moving things on the platforms, and they just keep knocking you off if you don't have the skill to hop back and forth really quickly. Remember, this guy had trouble with airman. :)
Somehow, this is better than Airman Ga Taosenai. no offense who hate my opinion btw
i think that both are gr8
Eh, I'm more of a AGT fan. This is still great, though.
The drums in this one make it for me. The song starts at a million miles an hour and only rocks harder
I used to like can't defeat airman more but I have reconsidered
someone needs to dub this
rediscovered it just after it became 13 years old
At least it's not as hard as Contra. Poor Rock got rocked.
I've beaten the first Mega Man on the Virtual Console but I had to use the pause trick to beat the Yellow Devil... Maybe someday I'll try to win without it.
Yeah I ever tried it in Megaman Anniversary Collection by Defeating Yellow Devil without Select Button Trick(which I did that trick in NES Ver against him.)
