As a lifelong Protestant who converted 7 years ago to the Catholic faith. There is no worship of Mary in the Catholic Church. This incorrect teaching I was told all my life …. had I had the inclination to actually investigate what the Catholic Church actually teaches through their own teachings (Catechism for one) , I would have converted years earlier instead I wasted time and listened to what all other Protestant teachings about the Catholic faith had to say and I trusted they were correct. Good video production here with a flawed understanding of the worship of Mary.

@@Renegade62 you are wrong. Mary is worshipped because they say she is Mother of God. Wrong. Mary was the earthly mother and caretaker of Jesus. Jesus did not give a special place to Mary. Any evidence? He honoured her as his earthly mother in obedience to the 10 commandments. Mary did not do anything great. She behaved like a mother as all mothers do. Actually mother Theresa was a greater person than Mary in living an exemplary life. Font you think so? Just connect Jesus said Sll those who do the will of His Father are his mother brother and sister. Do not give away God s glory to any other. Plz be honest.

You really need to read more of the Old Testament. Mary was foreshadowed there and the clue you will need to explore this is to learn the real meaning of her statement that she is "The handmaid of the Lord". There is a clue there to the foreshadowing of Mother Mary. Then you have to dive a lot deeper into why Christ referred to her as "woman". Truly I tell you there is much you do not know and it's evident from your dismissal of Jesus' Mother. Find it sooner rather than later.

@@antonl3512 Read Judith 11:17, then the entire Chapter 15 in Judith. It is a foreshadwing in the strongest of language related to Mother Mary in Luke Chap 1 saying she is, “The handmaiden of the Lord”. It can be guaranteed to you when she said that to the Angel she /and/ the Angel as well as God, knew exactly what that was about. The entire Old Testament is a foreshadowing of Mother Mary as well as Jesus Christ, one simply has to know how to be in the spirit to find it. From your words above I believe you will appreciate Judith 11:17 in light of 1 Luke and the surrounding verses and Judith Chapter 15 will make even a disbeliever see clearer. Mother Mary is indeed an intercessor as you say above. Enjoy! 😊

She not only endured the suffering, but together with Her divine Son, She was a true protagonist in the drama of Redemption, which is central to the history of the human race. In this double offering, that is renewed in each Mass, consists the action whereby the priest is truly a priest. In truth, the priest is never truly such, except when, together with Me, he offers both himself and Me to the Father. *For this reason, My Mother is a Co-Redemptrix in the most proper and true sense..."*

Kings’ daughters are among Your honorable women; At Your right hand stands the queen in gold from Ophir. (Psalm 45:9)
The psalmist teaches that the Queen stands at the right hand of God. The role of the Queen is important in God’s kingdom. Mary the Queen of heaven is at the right hand of the Son of God.
Then he said, “Please speak to Solomon the king, for he will not turn you away, that he may give me Abishag the Shunammite as a wife.” And Bathsheba said, “Very well; I will speak to the king for you.”So Bathsheba went to King Solomon to speak to him for Adonijah. And the king arose to meet her, bowed before her, and sat on his throne; then he had a throne set for the king’s mother, and she sat on his right. 20Then she said, “I am making one small request of you; do not turn [†]me away.” And the king said to her, “Ask, my mother, for I will not turn you away.” (1 Kings 2:17-20)
In the Old Testament Davidic kingdom, the King does not refuse his mother. Jesus is the new Davidic King, and He does not refuse the requests of his mother Mary, the Queen.
Then the king said to me (the queen also sitting beside him), “How long will your journey be? And when will you return?” So it pleased the king to send me; and I set him a time.(Nehemiah 2:6)
The Queen Mother sits beside the King. She is the primary intercessor before the King.
Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the royal heirs of the house of Judah. (2 Chronicles 22:10)
here Queen Mother Athalia destroys the royal family of Judah after she sees her son, King Ahaziah, dead. The Queen mother plays a significant role in the kingdom.
In the Davidic Kingdom, the head was obviously the King, who is now Christ. Second to the King was the Queen Mother. If you remember from 2 Kings, King Solomon would bow to and obey his mother Queen Bathsheba. Mutual honor and obedience was given between the King and the Queen Mother, but ultimately the King was the head of the kingdom. Mary has been given the honor of being Christ’s Queen Mother as demonstrated by her heavenly queenship in Revelations 12. Just as in the Davidic kingdom, our mother sits at
the right of the King In Scriptural terms therefore, just as Jesus’s Messianic Kingship is prefigured in the role of King of Israel, so Mary’s role is prefigured in that of the Gebirah. The existence of this rare and unusual institution in Israel and Judah is providential. It reflects and prefigures the Messianic order. Mary is Heavenly Queen Mother, because her son Jesus is the Heavenly King. Hebrews says, the OT is a shadow of things to come in the NT. Eg A new perfect King, A new perfect sacrifice, new perfect High Priest, a new heavenly Temple, a new altar, a new Adam, 12 new chief elders the apostles, then why not a New perfect Queen mother in the ‘restored Davidic Kingdom. Mary was human, bore and gave birth to Jesus, the Son of God, who intercedes for us to God. Mary lived out her life, died and her body was buried according to the Jewish Traditions of their day.

Gee Greg you are braver than I to defy the divinity of The Mother of God. Don't presume to have mercy from God by mocking TBVM. As for everything else, you so incorrect. Mary was immaculately conceived. She was NOT buried. There is no record whatsoever of her crypt/burial plot because he was taken up to Heaven body and soul by her son Jesus - The Assumption. The only piece of evidence left behind to validate her death etc.was her girdle, which was left behind as a sign to the apostles that she had been taken up (assumed) to Heaven. Mary the new Eve is foretold in Old Testament and mentioned again in Revelations of The New Testament. Mary was always in God's plan as co-redemptorist and the only one who will crush Satan with her heel.

I love her as Jesus wants us to love His mother. But I have some questions which need some plausible answers.
    1. St John wrote so much, why hasn't he written just one line about the mother of Christ, especially when and how she died....?
    2. St Paul wrote so much, he met all the Apostles...didn't he ever meet the mother of Christ...why is there not a line about her in his numerous epistles..??
    3. In the Acts, we read about minute descriptions of events of the early Church....again not a single line about the Mother of Christ...????
    4. Is it willful omission....if yes then why...???
I shall remain ever grateful for your help in understanding this ' mystery'.

He also wrote about her in the 12'Th chapter of the Apocalypse (aka Revelation). 2. St. Paul wrote about Mary in Galations chapter 4, verse 4, & quite possibly, Romans chapter 16, verse 6. Our Lady is mentioned in the first chapter of Acts.

Actually, if a relatively recent Pope announced about the role of Mother Mary as mentioned in the video, were the earlier Popes from the time of St. Peter make any remarks?

Some common synonyms of venerate are adore, reverence, revere, and worship. While all these words mean "to honor and admire profoundly and respectfully," venerate implies a holding as holy or sacred because of character, association, or age.
When you worship a human being, you take the glory away from Our Most High and One True GOD Jehovah who is a Jealous GOD. All Glory to GOD Our Father who lives in Heaven and Sacred is HIS Name.

The original scripture in Matthew said:
"Josef her husband, as a just man, did not want her put to death" [Mt1v19- original Hebrew].
The original Matthew does not mention the "husband" of Miryam in the genealogy [Mt1v16 -Hebrew; Syriac].
"Jacov begot Josef, the guardian of Miryam..." [Mt1v16- Syriac].
The guardian of an unmarried woman is her father. The name of Mary's father was also Joseph (and not Joachim according to the RCC lie).
Mary came from Solomon and Joseph her father came from Solomon.
Jacov was Mary's grandfather, and Joseph [v16] was the grandfather of Jesus.
The father of Mary was Joseph from Solomon [Mt1v16- original Hebrew, Syriac]
Joseph, the husband, was the son of Heli from Nathan [Lk3v23].

However, the Catholic Church is ran like a Country Club. Members only welcomed. Many Protestant Churches are operated the same way. Catholics need to be a lot more welcoming to visitors. Everyone that comes to church should be allowed to take communion. Jesus gave the bread and wine to all his disciples. Change is needed.

Both Maria and Miriam come from מִֹרְיָם [Mir-yam].
    "Mar" [מָר] means "bitter".
The name could have been מָרְיָם [Mar-yam] as we can't be sure how the vowel was pronounced in the time of Moses. Moses only used consonants.
It is the second part of Mir-yam that means sea. [Yam = Sea]
Although "suph" [soof] does not mean "red", the term Yam-Suph in the Bible was translated to Red Sea. [Yam = Sea]
In Hebrew the adjective comes after a noun. [Eng: black cat = Heb: cat black]

The fact is that what we know about the biblical Mary is virtually nothing apart from the references in the New Testament. I understand that It wasn’t until around the 3rd century that she was beginning to be recognised by the early Christian Church.

@@melchorfranco8659 I mean to edit my comment to make things clearer to understand. When Mary died her soul went to Heaven and her body was placed in the tomb. Jesus then re-united her soul with her body and assumed her, body and soul into Heaven. There will be many who will not believe this however it stands to reason that Jesus would not permit the pure body of His mother to decay in a tomb.

@12:00 there is in error here: Our Lady could not have been 14, 15, 16 or 17 years when she met St. Simeon during the Presentation. This may sound minor point to most people who will read this comment, but such rumors that Our Lady was 15 or 16 even younger is a new development (made official in the fallible Catholic Encyclopedia 1913 - a staple in most traditional catholic home schools) and used by many folks to promote attraction to minors and alleging support for it in the Bible. Here is the evidence based on Scriptures that Our Lady was 20 years old (from what is described in the Bible seems like Simeon and Anna knew Mary and hence had a long conversation with her during the Presentation of our Lord in the Temple - Luke 2, as Mary was a temple virgin known to Simeon. Mary had to be bethored at 19 as she was aging out and there were no convents for women who wanted to stay virgins for the sake of God, technically Mary is the first nun in history, however men were able to take vow of chastity and Joseph possibly was member of the Essene with vows of chastity, that is why Mary is suprised when St Gabriel says that she is going to be mother even though Mary is engaged she and Joseph were planning to stay chaste and dedicate their lives to God making Mary a perpetual virgin. Usually whenever you say to a newly engaged soon to be married women that they are going to be mother they don't react suprised like how Mary reacted to St Gabriel because they know that they are going to be in marital relation soon) when St. Gabriel appeared to her:
    1. Mark 5: 41-42, a 12 year old girl, whom Jesus brought back to life is referred to as a little girl. St. Mark under the Holy Spirit clearly spells out the girl's age as 12 years old.
    2. Mary is always refered to as the woman in the Bible. Based on Scriptures and noting that St. Elizabeth abide in the Law. Infact, St. Elizabeth calls her a woman, Luke 1:42 "Blessed art thou amongst women..", even before Mary gives birth to Jesus.
    3. In the Old Testament, God calles all those below 20 years of age as children: Numbers 32:11 "Surely none of the men who came from Egypt, from twenty years old and above, shall see the land of which I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, because they have not wholly followed Me". Deuterononmy 1:39 "Moreover your little ones and your children, who you say will be victims, who today have no knowledge of good and evil, they shall go in there, to them I will give it, and they shall possess it." According, to God Almighty anyone below 20 years is considered a minor and not an adult.
Sadly, almost all Catholics and Protest-ants, who I ask, say that Mary could have 12 or 14 or 15 years, even those who don't know how many Gospel writers are there in the Catholic Bible. That is how pervasive the brain washing is with the errors from the Catholic Encyclopedia (1913) published almost the same time the Koran was canonized (Surah 4 in the Koran also provides recommendation for divorcing prebuscent minors). Both these books are highly questionable and must not be used as references and are a lead up to legitimizing attraction to minors.
Hope you take this into consideration in your future videos and Catholics depend more on the Church Fathers and their Tradition and Magisterium of the Catholic Church, as you get into modern documents the more errors you will find. Stick to the Douay-Rheims Bible and Latin Vulgate (yes its English is old but it is better to understand a few things accurately than a whole lot of wrong in modern bibles) and the writings of Catholic saints until 700AD.
As an old saying goes the closer you get to the source the purer is the water.
The exact quote from the Catholic Encyclopedia 1913 (which must not be used unless you want to endanger your soul and the souls of your children)
"From the age at which Hebrew maidens became marriageable [twelve year of age], it is possible that Mary gave birth to her Son when she was about thirteen or fourteen years of age. No historical document tells us how old she actually was at the time of the Nativity."
Notice the poor wording and lack of precision in Catholic Encyclopedia, if there is no document then why mention the errorneously possiblity of the age of Mary at the time of giving birth to Mary. How can Christians say the Hail Mary prayer, which clearly says Mary is a woman and not a girl with clear conscience is a mystery to me.
Sincerely, from a practicing Catholic who has read the Bible cover to cover several times and the Church fathers and continues to study the Faith.

@@bettywilmot7627 Not so. There are two apostles called James, who are differentiated by their fathers: James, son of Zebedee, and James, son of Alphaeus. Long-standing tradition identifies James, the son of Alphaeus, as James the Less. Alphaeus (known also as Clopas) was the brother of St. Joseph. Jude was also a son of Alphaeus. Joseph was never married before he and Mary were betrothed so there were no half-brothers of Jesus as claimed by you whatsoever.

@@Mike-li5yq Mike, the Bible is very clear: All of the apostles with the exception of John were martyred for their faith. John was exiled to the island of Patmos at an old age and was taken to Heaven where he received the revelation of Jesus Christ and was told to write about those things.
The siblings of Jesus did not believe He was who He said He was until after the resurrection then they all believed. James was one of the first that Jesus appeared to after He resurrected. 1 Cor 15:7 James went on to become a respected leader in the church in Jerusalem and later became an elder. Jude also went on to teach mostly about false teachers and to beware of them. Deception was his main focus Jude 1. There's not much said of his other brothers or sisters. Jesus did indeed have siblings.
