As it has been pointed out that some scholarly expertise would be needed to consider the reliability of this text, here is the answer:
This letter is presented on the ground of the agreement with the New Revelation (and implicitly, also with the scriptural gospels whose content is comprised in these teachings). So this is based on the faith in the New Revelation and the Bible as representing the Word of God, which makes any scholars' testimonies not necessary, though not automatically disproving them. Of course, however, everybody is free to go primarily by theology or archaelogy or whatever else humans do in order to understand and control the world. One consideration still, is not to be forgotten. Money rule this world via the original sin of self-love, and because of this corruption is always possible. The truth that a loving heart and a living conscience can recognise is the Truth and the living manifestation of our Creator. Therefore who knows in the heart as a recognition of love, knows for ever and no scholars or religious authorities can shake or undo that.
I havent prayed in a long time. 2 days ago i decided to pray. my eyes closed. When i lifted my head opened my eyes. This was the exact face i saw of jesus. Today going through you tube i stopped at this face of jesus. I havent ever seen this story. The timeing. Anyways believe me or not. When i saw jesus face this was it. Yes, the face and eyes are what I remember when he appeared to me as a child, but I don’t remember golden hair. I remember dark hair, not black, but surmise dark hair could look lighter if there is light shining through it.
The image in the video is from a painting taken from the face on Shroud of Turin. I'm not surprised that if you saw Jesus you saw this face, because there is much evidence to indicate it was in fact his burial shroud and it has many unexplainable features. Study up on it, it's very interesting and I think you will find your faith even further strengthened to have seen this very face. The 1970's carbon dating has long been invalidated as having been taken from a patched area on the shroud that was rewoven using fibers at the time of the patching in the middle ages. I believe the Shroud was brought to Europe by the Crusaders. The carbon dating shows the time of the patching in the 1300's. Bless you. I love your faith.

Unbelievable how the church has scorned Pilate for centuries when in reality he admired and tried to protect Jesus. Listening to this made me feel that the rich and powerful have always been evil and cannot tollerate goodness and truth.

Jesus Christ Crucified, have mercy on me, a sinner. I said this prayer years ago as I was dying from complications from a medical procedure. Code Blue - I was dying and I knew it. My wife crying and watching from the door to my room, told me later that I flatlined. I was dead but I could hear everything, only that the voices grew faint as if I was moving away from them. I saw no lights, neither did I encounter anyone - only remembrance of family pictures - but with me missing in the place where I stood with my bride. Along with a deep sorrow for my sins.
As the cardiac doctors and nurses fought to save my life I heard the priest entoning the prayers for the dying next to my hospital bed. In desperation - I prayed. My Merciful Father heard my prayer and let me live. God's love and mercy is unfathonable. Please, I don't care what you spiritual condition is (or is not), tonight kneel by your bed and tell Jesus you love him. It's important. Jesus Christ Crucified, have mercy on me - a sinner.

@gunnsmoke357 There is also no mention in this letter by Pilate of Barabas being offered in place of Jesus though Barabbas appears in all four gospels of the NT.
A second error, it seems to me, is that Pilate states that Hebrew was being spoken at the trial of Jesus when in fact Aramaic was the language of that time and that place.
I'm not sure that I can believe the legitimacy of this letter allegedly written by Pilate to Tiberius.

I cried. Its always an emotional reaction. I remember watching a live outdoors play on a mountain side and the moment Jesus gave up his ghost on the cross as stated in the play the sky opened up and everyone got soaked. Like the very second in the play. Creator was watching with us. I always took it as God wept as im weeping now. Truly a selfless act of love and reading the Essene version of Christ also inspires me to be greater. He had a connection with creation that sounds so beautiful.
I sat in awe as I read and listened to the reading of this letter. I could feel the emotions experienced by both Potius Pilate and Jesus, as well as those of the people. OMG! It was as though I was standing there witnessing all the events that took place during that time. I can only say, praise God for allowing me to live long enough to hear this letter that Pontius Pilate wrote to Cesar regarding Jesus. How astronomically wonderful it is to be in the mind of Pontious Pilate regarding his thoughts about Jesus. This document provides so much truthful clarity to his beliefs about Jesus and his intentions with him, and it makes me a believer that Pilate was much more a humanitarian and gentleman that I had previously given him credit for. Keep in mind, no matter who was responsible for the crucifixion and death of Jesus it had to happen the way it happened and those individuals were playing their part and without them having done so we would not have seen a whipped, scourged, crucified and dead savior that was absolutely necessary for your sins and my sins to be absolved if we only bow our knees and confess that Jesus is Lord and be baptized. This was written in 1879 as a pamphlet by a Cumberland Presbyterian minister from Missouri as a piece of fiction around the idea of what he imagined a letter written by Pilate regarding Jesus might have looked like.

Nope, none of this happened. As time has progressed, especially in the last 30 years, the "evidence" for Jesus has faded because the stories and sources have been debunked. Now, I'm reliant it's true upon the truth of those researches. But I've read that part of the work, in another chapter of the same work, is taken verbatim from the 1880 novel ' Ben Hur '. I read a (is it ' Wordpress ' ?) article that quoted the passage, and it scontrasted them, showing how there was a one-word difference.
Also, (again I'm reliant on the truth of this from the same writer), a claim that Tacitus wrote the life history of Agricola is shown to be impossible, since (so the writer, the writer of the Wordpress article informs) that should mean that Tacitus was one-year old when he wrote the life history of a man, Agricola, who was at that time only 19; hardly, no disrespect, the un-erring, inspired Word of the divine Spirit (+).
I always have quite a conscience in giving an impression of being better thsn I am. We are all witnesses to our personal behaviours behind closed doors. I, too, am most certain of that shameful complete.
But nothing, ever, until ''...the last second of recorded time...'', shall ever, ever, stop me from not believing, but knowing that Jesus Christ was and is The Son of God. I definitely should never have sought this knowledge. My body is not interested. God gave us a 7 day week, including 1 day of rest. From the 1st promise of a Savior who would crush Satan's head(in Genesis) until Christ's 1st advent: 4000 years. Or 4 days to the Lord. Now about 2000 years since He ascended back into heaven, another 2 days to the Lord. So, 6 days of a week(6000 years) have gone by since Adam. Is it to be in the 7th day? Perhaps we are really close.
And again after about 1900 years or so, the Jews have returned to Israel and control Jerusalem. Hmmmmm. The Bible indicates that they will be there when Christ returns, when they will look upon the one they have pierced.

This is not a documented authentic letter from pilate. Jesus is lord!! He has beaten death! But we don't need to keep saying it's authentic when it looks like even most Christian scholars agree that this was not written by pilate or even in his lifetime

I am a scientifically minded person and I want this letter and it's contents to be genuine, but I think more information is needed than given in connection with this video to be as sure as one needs to be about this. You can't say that. Jesus would not want you say or feel this way. 2000 years ago human life was much more difficult and Jesus was encouraging people to take responsibility and to have faith. You can do this. Be good when it is bad. Rise after you hit the bottom and be reborn and no matter what, stay good with kindness in your heart.

Raised a Catholic, I’ve Always Believed in God. It gets sort of ingrained in you going to Catholic schools. The better understandings came to me many times later in my life! Much of Questioning Faith came from within myself. It seemed to have a Profound Effect on me. I told what I was taught or read to as a young child and applied common sense to it.
Upon doing this I realized as an adult not a child that just from looking around me that there must be a God. I wasn’t really questioning my Faith as much as I was figuring it out. You figure out as much as you can and the Faith part is more the part you don’t understand. Not that you don’t Believe- but you don’t understand on that level. Whenever I ran across someone who questioned whether there was such a thing as God, I would simply apply common sense to answer that person. I said to him or her “ Take A Look Around You,” “ Is This Earth Not Exceedingly Beautiful?” “ Do You Really Think That Man Is Responsible For Such Beauty Amidst So Much Chaos?” I would ask the person “Do You Really Think That Man Is The Highest Form? Top Of The Heap?” I won’t then say something simple, but impossible for them to achieve. I’d say, “ If You Think That Man Is All It “ “ You’re A Man,” “ Get Up in the Morning and Stop The Sun from Coming Up To Light The Day!!! “ “ Go Ahead Man Is The Supreme Power On Earth” “ Go Ahead, Let Me See You Do It!!”
They would of course ridicule me. I would tell them, “ I Know It Sounds Far Fetched,” “ I Was Just Trying To Prove A Point”
I then tell them my own personal reason for Believing in God!! I like all of us being a Sinner, would simply let them know that knowing what I may have recently done wrong ( and some of it quite bad, and definitely against what I was ever taught, God had gotten me through whatever wrong or UnChristian like Trouble I was in. So, as I say God has been Good to me -when I know I flat out didn’t deserve this. I’m now 71 and on borrowed time- but my Faith as steady and committed!! Actually, I think there was a concerted effort to absolve Roman responsibility in the death of Jesus as more and more of the Roman Empire became followers of Jesus in the 2nd and 3rd centuries when such writings appear. History was written by the victors.
