    I like the content of this video. My only minor criticism is that you talk about not focusing on vanity. It's very easy to do that when you meet all the black beautiful standards. You are pretty, nice body, with long natural hair. You don't even need to wear any makeup and have perfect skin.
    I appreciate your videos overall. Take care.

    I found out after trial and error with mists and oils that, putting nothing at all in my hair whatsoever is actually the best thing to do. My hair is naturally very puffy like yours but super thin🤞🏾

    I've been using less oil lately and I must admit I'm noticing a difference. For me, I mainly use oils now when I have a lot of new growth. My new growth love the oils but my locs can go without for a while.

      I dip my hair in oil but then again before my hair was locked it was super dry it would stick straight up.. like one time I turned my head to fast and wacked myself in the face and if they dry that mess hurts 🤕

    Im full free form. five years plus now, went for a retwist like middle of year three because of family pressure. five minutes in i made them stop because i couldnt stomach the idea of another person manipulating my hair.

    I stopped retwisting last year, I'm semi freeform... my hair is fine, so it makes my hair thicker by not retwisting... and it used to take hours!! no time for that!!

    Chlorine is a gas which will evaporate from tap water if you put it in a container and leave the cap slightly untwisted so that the gas can escape. Fluorine, however, will not evaporate in this manner since it is an ion and not a gas. Overnight up to 24 hours for the gas of chlorine to evaporate. Fluorine will not evaporate from water but evaporates with the water. Fluorine's effect on the hair in terms of drying it is the result of drinking the water and not really from spraying it on the hair. Just a tip in case you find yourself without distilled water and need to use tap water before you can get to a supply of distilled water. By the way, your locs are gorgeous.

    New to the freeform journey I currently have a fro and some lil twists naturally, should I retwist first once before I freeform, or keep it Afro texture and freeform from there?? Also I have LOW P hair?? Feedback from anyone is welcomed thanks!!

    • @holisticflo
      @holisticflo  Рік тому +2

      Welcome to the loc journey! And its your decision. Effects of starting with a retwist would be having the hair more uniform and keeping the afro texture would result in it looking the most natural as possible. In my opinion, freeform tends to loc faster because less manipulation
      All in all, its based on the look and maintenance you want

    Great vid help put some things into prospective for me, i Just got a question , do you use your Rose water when you use the aloe vera mist ? just asking because they are both water and would be putting too much water in your hair or do you use the mist on really dry days. I also like the As i am JBCO oil water is good since its water based and other stuff in it that you mentioned that you like to use maybe give it a try

    • @holisticflo
      @holisticflo  2 роки тому +1

      I don't use both the aloe mist and the rose water at the same time. I use the rosewater sparingly throughout the week and maybe on Wash Day to air dry my locs. But i use the aloe mist more often throughout the week on my hair and scalp and for me, it gives more moisture than the rosewater

    When you say you don’t cover your hair in the shower do you mean you put your entire head in the water or just let the steam get to it?

    • @holisticflo
      @holisticflo  Рік тому +1

      It simply means I don't wear a shower cap when taking a shower. My hair may get a little wet when washing my face, but my hair is low porosity so it dries up quickly
