I’ve ordered some castor oil as I’ve been told by the henna company I bought from that castor oil works pretty well to darken a henna tattoo and also use Vaseline to protect it from water. And I also read somewhere it’s a bad idea to use cling film so I’ve wrapped a sock around my design instead lol.
U can also apply Lemon oil or Henna oil or Lemon juice post removal before going to bed and then cover ur hand to avoid water contact... these also helps get a darker stain.
These are super useful tips Jaya! I can’t wait to try out the paper towel and plastic wrap one!
Srija Kothakonda yay! 👏 let me know how it goes!
I'm going to get a henna for the first time, so this is really helpful ^-^
Hope it went well!
Thank you for these tips, i will be trying these out, and the Mhendi design is gorgeous!😊
Mine currently is on day 2 with no paste! Putting on coconut oil right now! Currently mine is a dark orange to brown I rly hope I can get a black or dark brown!
I got henna and I started peeling off and it’s a orange color but I read it would darken over 48 hrs
👁 have to make wudu, so not washing my hands won’t cut it for me. Dang.
Bahaha
I’ve been watching all this henna trips and I’m like thinking same as you what about wudu? We have to use water so 🤷♀️.
I’m also a henna artist & what has always worked for me in protecting my stain & what I advise clients to do is to follow the steps as she mentioned & then if you need to use water, apply an oil barrier eg coconut oil, jojoba etc (a light oil, not heavy/sticky-like such as castor).
Do this before you make wudhu as this allows you to then make wudhu without the stain being affected. To make your stain last longer, try to apply oil prior to making wudhu everytime if you can; through doing this, I’ve been able to make stains last weeks before they start to lighten & fade again الحمدلله 💕
I also do this before doing dishes & to be extra safe, I wear gloves. Note: it is natural for the stain to start fading faster especially if your skin sheds quite often, taking exfoliating into account as well.
Same 😊
@@saidusername well that won't work cause for wudu nothing should be on the skin that prevents water to get to skin. Anything oily should be removed.
Just got my Henna for my Birthday thank you so much for the tips
This henna is beautiful ! =) ❤️
Army
I can't live without washing my hands, most probably because of the loo. And that I have a habit
apply the henna at night and after using the bathroom!
Apply coconut oil before you wash your hands! This will help keep the henna from messing up
can u use vaseline instead?
@@jasminesmith3855 Vaseline actually works great. I would rather that than an olive oil stain on my bedsheets.
I got henna yesterday and I took a shower with a plastic bag and a hair tie. I will continue to follow this.
Thank you for all your tips 🤗 This will definitely come in handy when applying my henna!! Usually how long does it last?? & the paste in the cones, how long does that take before it becomes tacky and no longer able to use? Where would you recommend storing it and for the length of time of storage before discarding?
U can store the cones for only 6 months in a freezer and it lasts abt a week on ur skin
How long can you keep the lemon spray before it goes bad?
how did you get it to STICK so well overnight???? my biggest problem with dry time is that it cracks and breaks off. : (
Spray lemon sugar sealant you'll be good to go
Apply oil
lemon juice + sugar applied with a cotton ball helps. the sugar will be a little sticky and help it stick to your skin better. wait to apply it until the surface of the paste is dry
I plan on getting mine for my bday 🎉🎉
How long will it last after you do all the procedure? Can it last for 2 weeks?
Something I couldn’t understand if anyone can help me get this right.
I just went to a shop where a lady done my henna. Now is dry and cracked. When is the moment that I dry it on a stove or hair drier and when do I put the oil because if I start rubbing it it comes off. I need to do a class maybe 😊
can you use vaseline too?, ive been using that for years
So helpful! Thank you!
Wow that is beautiful
U don’t spray lemon sugar after paste dries off??
Shruthi Gaekwad sometimes but if I’m wrapping like I did after it dries there’s no need since the paste I make is pretty sticky it stays on completely through the night like this
If doing outdoor festivals or private appts where I don’t know how well it’ll be taken care of afterwards I’ll spray the sealant or if it’s in an area like the shoulder or upper arm then sealant helps more so than the hands/forearm which usually do well even without sealant
When I apply my henna it dries and begins to crack?
Lily Anne it is normal
I like to use a mix of lemon and sugar water to help with that. I juts dab it on with a cotton ball every once and a while
Lily Anne I just go a henna tattoo today
That was my problem. When i do my hands. Right! After i put my hand in a plastic bag and let it get moist and humid. Idk how long to leave it in the bag for honestly. But it helps keep the henna moist
Can you please share where you get your henna powder from? Which brand/ which supplier??
mahathi13 I source it from India and sell it online www.gopi-henna.com/store
@@GopiHenna this site isn’t there anymore is there a updated site
@@alis4650gls yes it’s just www.gopi-henna.com
😲😲Wow!!! This is so beautiful!! ❤️❤️😍😍Maybe one day I can get tattooed by you!
Marie Marco that would be awesome! If you're in SD def hit me up 😄💕
OH DEFINITELY!!! I live in Northern SD, POway area, but my parents live in the Hillcrest area so it would be so perfect! I would love to have one done during summer so I can show it off ;) haha! I think you are absolutely talented! I'm in awe of your work! I've been binge watching your videos because they are very calming! haha!
Marie Marco that's awesome!! You're definitely close so yes just let me know when you're in the area! Can't wait to meet ya!
Mine looks way too light :(
Jana Musa it could be an issue with your henna paste or powder you are using, make sure it's here that quality body art quality henna powder or if you buy cones make sure to buy from a henna artist rather than on amazon or from local market since those are usually old and full of chemicals
Gopi Henna It was a special event and I got henna tattoo so somebody did it for me
goldenrose yes I went to an event and me and my daughter got ours done by the same lady. My daughters took but mine is super light
goldenrose mine too
Same
Sweet! I love your videos.
How do people go to washroom mayyynnn? How to avoid water? I don’t understand that.. how can people stay that long? As Muslim maintaining Purity is important for us. We can apply Henna when there’s long gap between two Prayer but how can someone avoid the call of Nature?? 🤧🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Will applying mustard oil after getting the mehndi paste off work?
It left a scar (cuz I had allergy to hena) on my hand and I can't remove it so please help me to remove it
Beautiful rings
Can i use petroleum jelly as a moisturizer?
No, it will stop the darkening process and will ruin the stain
what about emergency henna which gives a dark stain in 10 minutes, same aftercare?
Hi there, i have a question, i made henna paste left it rest for 15 h and the applied it on my skin but when it dried the paste started cracking, can you give me a tip to avoid that?
Add sugar when you make the paste.
I use lemon & sugar mix to seal it in :)) cracks but when you move around it stays in tact & the lemon makes the dye release easier
which brand henna you used here?
How would you protect a design on someone's head overnight?
hi! I might be a little late to reply but I recommend to apply henna on the head in the day and I presume your talking about your hair maybe, so just apply it to your hair or wherever and wait around 1-2 hours and then wash it off and apply some pure oil like olive or coconut oil after its rise or peeled off. Keep in mind that some henna can develop after a few hours so if you think the colour is too light then wait a while incase it becomes darker but if not you can always add another layer :) hope this helps
also, when leaving overnight it's best to use a pillow case that may be old as the henna will stain but still make sure it's clean so if any henna does stick to your sheet, it would stain like I said but after a few washes it should be fine and then in the morning you should be okay :))
@@akhtar5842 Hi thank you..I actually meant on a head with no hair..Any advice for overnight? or is it ok to apply in the day and let it dry for a few hours. And then scrape off before night time...I did a design on my hand and when it was dry, it was very hard to scrape off..I would not want to hurt the person with no hair..any suggestions for that? Thanks again..
@@beverleypeacock Oh I see, If you leave it overnight then it could stain your pillow and the design could be smudged too so yeah I think the easiest would just be to apply it in the morning and take it off during the day but you don't really have to scrape it off especially if it hurts, I know the video does say to scrape it off but really you can just wash it off when its dry with water and then apply some oil once it's washed :) however try to find some good quality henna cones because some can appear orange and im not sure if that's what you would like :) I recommend golecha mehndi cones, feel free to ask any more questions
@@akhtar5842 Thanks so much..I am learning how to make my own cones, but i will check out what your recommendation.
Plz add henna after care balm recipe
I have excessively dry skin, should I use lotion an hour or so before I apply?
yes just make sure you wash it off before applying henna
What henna do u use?
Can I use olive oil instead of coconut oil?
Yes :)
Can I store my henna someplace? If I want to reuse it.
In the fridge, you can freeze it if you are planning to store it for a long time
lovely 💗🏵💗🏵💗
thank you dear!
Is it alright to moisturise with caster oil?
Yumi 2412 castor oil is really sticky so it would likely act more like an exfoliant rather than a moisturizer like other oils which glide on smoothly. Unless castor oil is mixed with another oil I wouldn’t use it to moisture a henna stain
Beautiful one
Hi please I want some of the henna ...do u deliver to Ghana
Samira Halidu cones only in USA because they’re perishable when made fresh
What henna paste do you recommend?
She makes her own u can buy it from her
use natural dark green pastes or red henna....never use Black henna as it contains chemicals. U'll get lots of hennas on amazon. I recommend u buying Indian ones as they are mostly chemical free
Wat if u already took the henna paste off but it’s disappearing advice needed
There might have been something wrong with the henna paste which was applied which in that case theres not much you can do, you can try to avoid water and stay as warm as possible but in my other video on How to get a dark stain, the first things needed is good quality henna paste, if you don't have that you probably wont get a super dark stain
The henna is beautiful ❤️ I love it 😍👌👏 & I LOVE you're 💍
what can I do ? During taking shower the water gets on my dried henna paste. When I peel it of it look fuzzy or spilled :(
therodesova late but it is not supposed to get wet while drying that’s why it looks bad
You really didn't listen to the video
So after a week it turns from reddish-orange to black??
no first day is orange then usually two days after its a reddish brown, more brown towards finger tips especially
Gopi Henna Thank You for responding...So exactly how many days before it turned black and looked like an actual Tattoo??
kisha bella I want to clarify that henna isn’t black, it’s more of a brown sometimes reddish brown depending on skin chemistry. It takes roughly 48 hours after you peel the paste off for it to reach its darkest color
Gopi Henna I never knew that or had it and thought it was black lol..My skin is A Medium Brown..Thank You again
kisha bella that most likely wasn’t real henna if it was black, “black henna” is full of chemicals and artificial dyes like the same ones found in black hair dye so can cause some serious allergic reactions for a lot of people, so you’re lucky you didn’t have anything like that happen!
Thanks:)
Where's the video of the design u show in this video??
Esha Kakkar ua-cam.com/video/BcMwrnWegc0/v-deo.html
Hi, how much time should I warm the tattoo with the blow dryer?
Ive never timed it but for it to be fully dry about 10 minutes I would estimate which cuts the drying time in half and sometimes it can take 30 mins to dry
How to stop mehndi frm fading away?
You can't, it will eventually fade. Is your mehndi fading too fast?
I just want to ask why you say the stain gets darker over time but in the last frame of the video where u show the darkest you can clearly tell there is new ink on there. Because u forgot to peel it off before u did the last frame.:( I'm sorry I'm not trying to be rude but it's kind of false. But the tattoo is beautiful and the after care instructions are good. Oh wait I read somewhere that oil takes that stuff off. So who knows.
Sunrise Smith lol what are you even talking about
The last frame is with the paste on, it’s not “new ink” I don’t understand what you’re trying to say is “false”
What happen if I accidentally use expired henna?
It just wont stain
For me the more i use water the darker it gets
Asmr vibes....
How long do I wait before scraping it off
At least 8h
@@Maatkara1000 but how tho since it peels off
@@theanonymousvigilante you can either apply some lemon juice with lots of sugar once the paste is dry -it will make it stick to your skin for so long- or you can cover the design with a transpirable sticky gauze, like HypaFix or Mefix Tape
@@theanonymousvigilante you wrap like how she explains in video
@@theanonymousvigilante oil it up or put vaseline on it.
I can't stay without washing my hands...
Wow

@@GopiHenna mam, i marrying feb 26. but bangle function before one week mariage mam. mehandi before bangle function.so, tips mam
I can't get my henna to stay on longer than one hour :(
It's orange for the first day or so and then goes just about as dark as a beauty mark for me.
I would recommend getting some mefix tape. It helps to put it over the henna to keep it their.
😍😍😍
not dark enough and not safe to put bag on ur hand

Woow
Or jus get a tattoo
Nah Bc I just got scammed😐
