      I’m also a henna artist & what has always worked for me in protecting my stain & what I advise clients to do is to follow the steps as she mentioned & then if you need to use water, apply an oil barrier eg coconut oil, jojoba etc (a light oil, not heavy/sticky-like such as castor).
      Do this before you make wudhu as this allows you to then make wudhu without the stain being affected. To make your stain last longer, try to apply oil prior to making wudhu everytime if you can; through doing this, I’ve been able to make stains last weeks before they start to lighten & fade again الحمدلله 💕
      I also do this before doing dishes & to be extra safe, I wear gloves. Note: it is natural for the stain to start fading faster especially if your skin sheds quite often, taking exfoliating into account as well.

      @@saidusername well that won't work cause for wudu nothing should be on the skin that prevents water to get to skin. Anything oily should be removed.

    I’ve ordered some castor oil as I’ve been told by the henna company I bought from that castor oil works pretty well to darken a henna tattoo and also use Vaseline to protect it from water. And I also read somewhere it’s a bad idea to use cling film so I’ve wrapped a sock around my design instead lol.

      If doing outdoor festivals or private appts where I don’t know how well it’ll be taken care of afterwards I’ll spray the sealant or if it’s in an area like the shoulder or upper arm then sealant helps more so than the hands/forearm which usually do well even without sealant

    • @GopiHenna

      Yumi 2412 castor oil is really sticky so it would likely act more like an exfoliant rather than a moisturizer like other oils which glide on smoothly. Unless castor oil is mixed with another oil I wouldn’t use it to moisture a henna stain

    How would you protect a design on someone's head overnight?

    • @akhtar5842
      @akhtar5842 3 роки тому

      hi! I might be a little late to reply but I recommend to apply henna on the head in the day and I presume your talking about your hair maybe, so just apply it to your hair or wherever and wait around 1-2 hours and then wash it off and apply some pure oil like olive or coconut oil after its rise or peeled off. Keep in mind that some henna can develop after a few hours so if you think the colour is too light then wait a while incase it becomes darker but if not you can always add another layer :) hope this helps

    • @akhtar5842
      @akhtar5842 3 роки тому

      also, when leaving overnight it's best to use a pillow case that may be old as the henna will stain but still make sure it's clean so if any henna does stick to your sheet, it would stain like I said but after a few washes it should be fine and then in the morning you should be okay :))

Thanks again..

    • @akhtar5842
      @akhtar5842 3 роки тому

      @@beverleypeacock Oh I see, If you leave it overnight then it could stain your pillow and the design could be smudged too so yeah I think the easiest would just be to apply it in the morning and take it off during the day but you don't really have to scrape it off especially if it hurts, I know the video does say to scrape it off but really you can just wash it off when its dry with water and then apply some oil once it's washed :) however try to find some good quality henna cones because some can appear orange and im not sure if that's what you would like :) I recommend golecha mehndi cones, feel free to ask any more questions

      kisha bella that most likely wasn’t real henna if it was black, “black henna” is full of chemicals and artificial dyes like the same ones found in black hair dye so can cause some serious allergic reactions for a lot of people, so you’re lucky you didn’t have anything like that happen!
