I applied the code the exact same way, but for some reason when I try to make the character move forward and stop, they would do that, but their animation kept running and not switching to idle. Despite it saying it should. Idk what to do
Hi mist, You can check out our previous video on including dialogue for an explanation and example of Wait For Signal :) ua-cam.com/video/w_-CH3m9o4w/v-deo.html
This helps a lot!! But i have a problme. I have a character who is sleeping and then wakes up by theyre mother yelling too wake them up. Idk how too do that- and another think i have drawings i want too put on the dialogue too make the character more expresive.
To add drawings to the dialogue system you would add another parameter to the dialogue system and a few more actions. Or you can spawn and destroy the sprite before and after calling the dialogue function. Have tou checked out our cutcene tutorial? It doesn't show adding to the dialogue, but goes more in depth on how to put a cutscene together :)
@deltastarstudios2809 I'll definitely check it out! The problem is. I'm a big visual learner, so stuff said to me or written to me makes it really difficult to do. I have literally only been following your tutorials because they're so well visually done! I once tried a difrent person's way for when they were showing how too add little beep noises for the text and I berally understood it and had trouble following becuse they would cut sceenes off making me confused since I learn visually so much. I would love if you cept on making tutorials yours are the only ones I can actually understand, and I love them!
@@stormfiretheog9183 thank you for the nice compliment! We have more tutorials in the works, we've just been super busy with life atm :) More on the way though!
@deltastarstudios2809 I can't wait to see more of your tutorials! They're amazing!! ^^ I hope you can also make inventory tutorials. A simple one like how undertale one looks. No pressure, though! You don't have to if you don't want to!! Take as much time as you need!
You might want to invest some time into figuring out the Timeline feature of construct, because everything your doing is done much more simply inside an easy to use feature already included in construct for 3 years now.
