Thanks for the detailed description. I'm not embarrassed to admit that I can't handle movies like this. Rest assured that millions of kids WILL see this movie at home in their family rooms because their parents will be neglectful, or they just won't care.

hi joe, i have only seen the first terrifier which i thought was ok, nothing great. i like movies that really push the limits though so i will probably check this film out. i think i can handle the gore and i like films with a lot of tension to them. thanks for your reviews of this movie, i have heard it is good for what it is, thanks for sharing, take care, rob
The problem is the lack of parenting. There will be young eyes seeing this film when they are not mentally or emotionally ready to handle such material. The parents either have no sense of judgement or are ignorant as to the intensity of the content. I always hear of parents watching movies on Netflix that are for adults but letting children be present in the room while it's played. The parents put their desire to watch a film while their kids are around over the mental health of their kids. Children pick up on all this stuff. Part of the reason why our society is crumbling. The advent of cable tv started this. The Art The Clown character is interesting and the actor playing him is excellent with great nuance in his performance. My problem is that three movies in, nothing is explained as to just what Art is, why he is a clown or his crazed "reasoning" for the diviant behavior. There are supernatural aspects hinted at but no explanation. Therefore no real tension. Gore for gore's sake. A compelling origin and Art is a Horror character for the ages. No explanation or a poor backround story and this is just a grossout fest. I love horror movies but it must be balanced with some sort of compelling narrative. With the state of the world today I do find it troubling that so many almost revel in the extreme graphic torture and heartlessness/mindlessness of these acts.
I agree that by now we should be getting more of an origin for Art and what makes him what he is. Even worse IMO is that he's now obviously supernatural, and that takes away from the whole "crazy clown gone berserk" thing. Why a clown persona? I have heard that the writer/director will gradually explain, but it hasn't occurred yet.
@@MrCinemayo Exactly, if anything is possible and there are no perimeters, then there is no tension and this is just gore for gore’s sake. From what’s already happened, I think the writer/director may have already painted himself into a corner. We shall see. If he comes up with a compelling backstory, then he has a horror character for the ages.
As with must films that over run their stay 2 hrs is too long for this series 90 minutes is best. tighter editing . A muddled third act. This time around the story and acting were better. The way over the top gore fest I find it boring I was yawning through out. Tyeing to top yourself. A better story and better acting is great. I am tired of all the Art. This should have shown less of the clown. His mugging was boring not funny at all. Not a joke was funny. Nothing about this series is appealing to me. Yes there will be a part 4 but let it die already. Move on. This series is getting boring. I prefer Strange Darling and Longlegs over this
Thanks for your thoughts, but this series is only now gaining a bigger audience and success, and came in #1 with $18,000,000 on its first weekend. Art The Clown has become an icon. No way are they stopping at this point.
