Odd because I found a turbo kit that can handle up to 650hp and I’m buying a separate turbocharger , buying a 76mm turbocharger and small shot of 75 nitrous to spoil up turbo quicker
A stock b16 will not hold 650hp maybe 350

Bryan 98 dude follow your dreams but don’t think just because of an expensive turbokit like on forza that you will achieve 600bhp
The rods will smack you in the nuts
You definitely need much more supporting parts, pistons, valves, retainers supporting fuel system bigger injectors stronger fuel pump etc
Your better off buying a long block fully built by 4Pistons
$600 for the kit, plus any maybe small pieces not included in the kit, then $200-$600 for a tune and fueling assuming cheap injectors and pump ~$500 and then clutch ~$120 so minimum total $1,400 for 80-100hp

You need a UA-cam video on how much it’ll cost you to build a sleeper? Just do it for yourself because his prices will be different than yours when it comes to the tune,wheels etc.
For a base tune it usually runs between 5-600 and those injectors and pump are over 350... and the turbo kit is like 550 so this is bull shit unless he stole everything from someone..

Lets say for instance, if I wanted to crank up my d16y8up to 225 horsepower(after tuning and 1000cc fuel injector upgrade and not sure what fuel pump to upgrade to), would a ebay turbo be efficient enough to meet those standards without any serious harm to the turbo or motor?

Those blocks can only hold around 200 safely ESPECIALLY the rods. Also, y8 are more prone to spinning bearings do to the fact the cranks are single drilled. The z6 block is cross drilled, aka more oil-ing

The spaghetti rods in that Y8 are only going to hold that HP for so long, but if you're swapping it won't matter either way. Get the engine relieving its pistons on camera though

Hey did you do anything else with your engine before putting that turbo and having it tuned? I have a d16 y5 it has $236,000 k, the rockers are knocking, pretty sure the seals are leaking oil. I want to turbo but I think I need to do a rebuild first. Any advice?
I never got to see the engine build, but what internals does it have? You can't push 20 psi through a stock bottom end Y8, I mean, I suppose it's possible with good fueling and a good tune, but it would never last at that boost level with stock internals. I pushed 250 whp out of a JDM D15B VTEC on 93 octane, a knockoff Chinese Walbro 255, DSM 440cc injectors, ARP head studs, a Cometic MLS head gasket, and a similar eBay turbo kit and it made the car alot of fun to drive, but I was only pushing about 10 psi through it and that block lasted for years like that.
It's amazing how much horsepower would you have on it right now on for a eBay turbo kit it is fun to watch keep up the good work and want to wish you and your wife a happy 4th of July

Woke it up after you figured out that fire ring missing. You'd be surprised how little exhaust gas it takes to affect the turbocharger boost pressures

My kit put my car from 150hp to likely 260-300 .. didnt get it on a dyno but thats what similar setups get at 7lbs. Im at 10lbs.... i did it super oldschool with a safc2 and street tune

OBD1 Honda’s don’t have a have a knock sensor so they just disable it, Someone correct me if I’m wrong
