I know this is a different kind of video... but I want to be transparent about my hair transplant. So that one day people dont have to guess if I got a hair transplant when my hair starts to grow.
Anywho I hope you stick around for this journey... it'll definitely be an interesting one to see the results next year!

I agree with the maintenance of hair. It really is a nuisance having to use monoxidle and finasteride everyday. It just comes with the territory of keeping hair. Maybe one day I’ll get sick of it and just rock the shaved look.

It actually surprises me by reading the comments how common this is for guys. i obviously know it happens, but it seems like it's happening to so many. I can imagine the hit it takes on y'all's self esteem. Some guys really do good with bald or buzzed cut heads, but people should do whatever they want with their hair. Meanwhile my dad is 74 with a full head of hair. My family doesn't have the best genetics but I guess we are ok in that area

Nathan, thank you so much for sharing this insight into your journey! Beautiful video and very cool footage of Istanbul - loved it! But I totally empathized with your share. I’m a woman who had always had very long hair that I loved to care for and style. Then, about a year ago at age 42, I got breast cancer and had to go through 5 months of chemotherapy and lost every single hair on my head and the rest of my body. It took a very emotional toll on me because my long head hair had become such an important part of my identity and self-confidence. My hair is now finally starting to grow back after chemo but it is a completely different color/texture and will take many years to get as long as I previously had it. That’s totally okay of course, but I totally get what you said about the importance of doing what feels right and makes you feel like your best most happy self with regards to appearance. I’m grateful that you shared such an intimate look into this part f your life and I wish you a happy recovery and transition to the new hair 🥰

I lost my hair when I was 21. Never thought it would ever happen to me in a million years, or if it did, it would be when I was significantly older. Needless to say my confidence plummeted, I did what you did and tried to wear a hat at any given opportunity. I'm 31 now and I'm so confident with it and everyone tells me I look better with a shaven head, I genuinely think I do as well too. Looking back at it all now, I think It wasn't as bad as I thought it was and I probably made too much out of it. I think when you lose your hair for the first time it's such a shock, it's hard to deal with because you're so used to having hair and not having it makes you freak out and you think you look weird which Is 100% not the case. You've got a great shaped head and face for a shaved head. But I understand why you did the surgery and it's something all of us go through when we first start losing hair. Hoping you have a speedy recovery and thanks for sharing. Would have loved to have a video like this when I first started losing my hair.

Women are much less likely to lose their hair due to DHT levels being safe significantly lower than a mans. That’s why men get facial hair and more body hair too. Also if your dad has a bald hair or receding hairline it’s more likely your son will have the same.

@David Merlot hı David.I think İstanbul is pretty Safe.No terror attacks for many years because of turkey's syria and iraq military operation and people of Istanbul mostly like tourist very much. But like all cities there is a little possibility that u can come across with some bad people if u are not careful ,try not to go deserted areas of Istanbul if u go just incase have someone that knows the area and be careful with taxi driver some of them tries to take money more than they should.Other than that i think there is almost zero chance of risk.on the street where i stay children play till 00.00 1.00 pm midnight. those come to my mind about safety if u have question more spesific u can ask have a nice day.

Awesome bro! It takes a lot of strength to put yourself out there and be vulnerable, but you nailed it! Congrats and I hope your recovery goes well

Hey Nathan huge fan! As someone who is curently balding, would you suggest getting the surgery earlier in the balding phase or when the balding is extreme? I have read that going earlier will just result in having to go multiple times because the rest of your hair will fall out. Thank you so much

I think Joe Rogan did this years ago. I wonder how the technology has changed. Good luck Nate I look forward to the videos.
