Holy shit! Battle Kings! For decades I had been wondering what these were called. I had seen them as a kid in stores, but couldnt remember what the line was called. I was blown away by the figures that were included, but when I discovered the 1/76 infantry sets, I forgot all about these. What memories. Many thanks man.
Ever so often you stumble across a channel that really resonates with you, your channel is exactly that. Watched several of your vids, certain I’ll be an avid viewer moving forward, keep up the great work! Cheers.
I love your unboxings and videos. I'm a kid of the mid 1960's, and Airfix then, was HUGE. The 'OO' (1/76) scale figures were the bane of my parents' life - they got everywhere. I still find them when digging the garden. You have what I had, and I'm glad to see them again. 👍👍👍
Hey there, Really enjoy these videos. I was born in the 90s and I always had a fascination with 1/72 model kits, particularly World War 2. I'm happy that I get to experience seeing the vintage toys from the 60s/70s, well before my time.
LK didn't want anyone taking his troops. I remember doing the same thing when I was a kid and brought my soldiers to school to play with in the sandbox at lunch.
Beachhead Assault, got one in the late 70s it was and still is my absolute favourite toy, much to my present day regret I gave it away in the late 80s. Great to see they are still out there, can't wait to see more of it ......well done on your purchases 🇮🇪
@@toysoldiernostalgia yes loved it I got rid of the metal vehicles with the playset and it fitted in well with my obsession with Matchbox 1/76 plastic kits. Sometimes I pieced it out for war games with other dioramas and sometimes it was kept together for D-day landings, usually depended on whatever war movie I saw last.
I found a couple of hundred airfix 1/32 soldiers in my storage unit, brought back memories. Where really hard to find when i was a kid, had to get them from Denmark back then.
I dreamt of having the Beach Head set as a kid, all I had was a picture of it in an advertisement brochure (in germany). My mom didn't allow me to have toy soldiers and tanks, but anyway I bought a set of Airfix soldiers, got some tanks, and some time later my mom gave up her protest. I built a Beach Head set myself then, with ruins and floormap made from cardboard.
I remember that combat pack as I had it when I was young , it was one of my Christmas presents as I only played with toy soldiers . (Never liked toy cars etc ) . I had forgotten all about it until I found this video by accident. Nice 👍
Like you I collect all things Airfix....toys/games/soldiers/playsets/art sets etc etc. ..and like you AGAIN I also collect Matchbox Battlekings and Seakings (still missing the Submarine!!)
Magnificent! It seems you have Christmas gifts all year long. I recognize some of the stuff even though I never had it. Those play mats ( 8:04 ) are really nice. If I were 45 years younger I would be very jealous 🙂
Perhaps someone here can help me on this. Back in the 80s I purchased a small, snap together playset from a model shop. My memory is that it was airfix, but perhaps it wasn't. The kit was of a Venus flytrap in a jungle setting, which was scaled to seem large in comparison to 3 & 3 quarter inch figures. If you placed an object in the centre of the plant, it would close on it! Been searching every combo of words I can think of to describe this lost toy with no joy whatsoever.
13 year old me ,automatically go mad at my parents all over again for saying no when l asked for airfix stuff for Christmas and birthdays. " clothes are better " ... well l have outgrown all the clothes and this stuff is worth at least 10x more than it cost.
Hi Jerry, i have a strongpoint you can have, the combat pack came with the type of boxes you have there mate, also the European pack didnt have the dug outs in the desert pack
Don't forget the Airfix dinosaur models. I love the dinosaurs another favorate subject. If you happen to get any of those models amongst your collections. Can't get over the loads of soldiers your receiving! Here in Australia its just the latest 15 figures boxes the same ones, german, American Afrika korps , British and i think thats it. Sometimes there's the odd Multi pose model figures 1/32 scale. I have two lots of German infantry and British infantry. Ive missed the Afrika Korps , American infantry , Japanese, and American Marines. All those model figures are very nicely detailed. I wish i had all of those.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
The matchbox beach-head assult set is extremely rear. I saw one on Ebay 2&1/2 years ago think it w a s on bid can't remember what it went but not seen one since. Same with the aifix one. Myself I like the historical figures ps if you're getting a lot of bluetit's outside, tell them to put a coat on😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 joke!.
Great stuff. We love sharing you enjoyment of collecting. Keep it up 😀
Thanks man! Cheers!

wow, I have never seen the Airfix bird models before. I didn`t realise they had ever made them!
They are realy nice and a fun departure from regular military models.
i enjoy your videos! Would be great to see some of the finished birds once you've made and painted them!
I realy have to get around to painting them.
You have great stuff.
I agree 😃

Glad you found it :)
Did you watch the videos I made on both the Combat Packs?
I remember collecting yellow astronauts with detachable perspex helmets one free in every packet of sugar puffs. 1/32 scale

Cool items!
I think the saddest thing in the world is a toy that's never been played with 😟
Hey your "unboxing videos" are really cool ! 👍👍👍

It was Airfix. Just google "Eagles Adventure Set Jaws of the Jungle".
I want to get all those sets as they look so cool.
@@toysoldiernostalgia Thank you so much! As you can imagine, I had a lot of fun with that one growing up!
I never knew airfix made kits of birds!! 😮
They made so much cool stuff. They did a few of dinosaurs as well.
Моделей птичек никогда не видел!!😮

Ok cool. I didn´t even check the Combat Pack I have if there were supposed to be dug outs for it. I probably should have.
Great videos man keep it up.
Is that the Matchbox Beach Head assault I clicked "like" on facebook yesterday?
I don´t think so. There´s someone selling a near mint on one of the Facebooks groups right now.

There was a Beach Head Assault set just a few weeks ago on Ebay. Guess who bought it ;)
Where do you get Airfix soldiers from ?
Ebay and Facebook groups.
hey big man
Hva jobber du med, som har råd til å kjøpe så mye cool stuff?
Bara ett vanligt jobb men jag är rätt bra att vara sparsam med annat.
Do you have an email ? Im interested in the matchbox beachhead set. Do you have one for sale?
Where can I find one at is is called vectis?
Sorry I don`t have one for sale. But if you stay tuned I have ome comming in thats complete and in great condition.
Just google Vectis toy auctions and you`ll find them.
Thanks for replying.
