Lego... The antenna, the tree, the groundplate... even the LEGO flag! I didn't have one of your sets, but I had an ambulance station and a train station! All these toys are moving me backwards in time, into my childhood! I love your channel!
It's nice to see such collection. I like the opening of so many cool toys. I still like toys as I did back then as a kid in the 70s. When all family was together.😣😣🇭🇲🦘✌️👍
Had all the Matchbox 1/76 scale sets also. In 1/32 I had German infantry, British Infantry, Afrika Korps, American Infantry, British 8th Army. Memories of days gone by.🙂🇭🇲🦘✌️
I love your videos - they always, always give me a wonderful hit of nostalgia. I, too, got the LEGO Police headquarters set for Christmas one year - my younger brother had the hospital, which I remember had some of those very early figures - no faces on the heads, but they had hats or hairpieces, and a body that looked like a petrol pump. This was at the very start of LEGO making special parts, too - the mount for the tail rotor of the helicopter, was also the propellor mount for aircraft models. Great sets, and a hell of a lot of fun to build. Thanks again. 👍👍👍
Excellent video, the only pictures I have from Christmas childhood I am holding the Brown Horse to the Johnny West figure 1971 and I am holding in another picture my Sea Adventure GI Joe which I still have) also 1971
Great collection of items. Amazed by unpainted Britians, going to keep an eye out for those.😊 Lego is always brilliant! My grandchildren now play with mine 😊 Keep filming 🎥
13:53 I had a larger scale western town, had to assemble all the buildings, corral horses, and it came on a big mat. I played with that for HOURS. I remember seeing it on the shelf at woolworth's in toronto and my parents couldn't afford it. Sure enough, it showed up under the tree one christmas. I've googled it, and never been able to find the manufacturer. Used to keep it in an old suitcase.
@@toysoldiernostalgia good call! after a google image search it very well could have been! My memory is faded (50 yrs will do that) but some things I remember clearly: the way they held their guns and timpo sure looks like it. Same as some of the buildings and the way they're constructed.
great video, such enthusiasm, i still have the Corgi Range Rover, the box is gone as is the patrol man but the other bits are present and correct and the model itself is mint
I love the Lego police set. I had that police car, which was available as a separate kit. My sister had the hospital set. Fun fact: here in Canada, Samsonite (yes, the luggage manufacturer) had the right to manufacture and distribute Lego from its introduction to the market until the late 1980s.
Crescent! I had some of those as well (not these ones though). Your channel had me thinking about the other toy knights I had as kid, and I had forgotten about Crescent. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
@@toysoldiernostalgia I remember the yellow petrol pumps. I had one in the Lego box for years. gave all my Lego to my, then girlfriend's daughter nearly 30 years ago.
funny, i just happened to watch that video of the matchbox kits build yesterday...just found that channel

It hurts when I remember the old Zodiac Toys shop just yards from where I worked.Bought the odd Galactica and Star Wars stuff, but never considered the future potential.
Great haul Jerry,I had heaps of Cresent toys Knight & also cowboy & indian figures in the 70's( A small few I still have still)they were hand painted with seperate stands that were glued on,interesting to see those Cresent knights all moulded in one, plus those unpainted Britains Deetail figures too,I had the Airfix 1/72 Indians, wagon train st & US cavalry sets, but I always wanted that fort but never got it,plus a medievil castle in that scale,I also had a few of those early Lego block style utility & service vehicles too,aah the memories,ah well, look forward to more of your hauls in future, cheers
Once a year or maybe once every two years, I am dreaming I'm young again and my parents or family give me one of these boxes.... I had (still have) two of the small scale Matchbox toy soldier sets. All of my Lego has gone to the children of my sister - it was quite difficult for me to give it away...
Im kinda suprised that lego sets this old can still look this good complete in box. And yea that antenna looks like something they havent molded for decades
Those Lego kits look in pristine condition mate :) I have the parts to build those kits now (except the tree.. rare find) and I had the original Police Heliport back in the 70's..
Great purchases, when you come to paint the airfix figures after washing try undercoating with a white plastic primer from car spare shops as it gives a great finish and also works with the polythene figures as well.
I also love the old guards colour party, I've no idea why but it's almost an addiction, so much so that I bought 4 boxes of the recent re-issues. I didn't know Matchbox did the tank transporter, even though the colour scheme is a bit weird, I kind of like it. It looks like you got more figures in the Wild West set than were originally issued, I'm sure there was only 1 wagon train included, so someone has added quite a bit to it.
I don´t have that many yet. And if I do I want to get them boxed also and then it gets very expensive. But stay tuned because I just got a Britains Deetail item that is pretty darn rare and will unpack, go through and set it up in a week or two.
The Britains unpainted look much better sculpts like that than with all that (dare I say it) _iffy_ paint to distract. I would guess though that at least some of them were once painted.
I have been researching ‘play’ for a few years and to gather more information I went looking for toys so I could observe how children played with them. The problem was there weren’t any toys, there was a lot of ‘merchandising’ but that is for collectors and the rest were very poor with limited play value. Designing toys takes more work than making a replica and consistency of scale is important for play. I have a lot of data now and I am looking at the work of various Chinese manufacturers to find one that might be up to the job. Once I have identified a competent manufacturer I can offer them a detailed proposal to fill the gaps. The problem is on the retail side, with the old family owned shops disappearing the chain stores all sell the same very limited range of items, but we may have found a loophole for that. If it comes together I’ll let you know.
Those vehicles from creative time wasting I watched those very items you have there built. The Stuart Tank was missing the tracks so was used for the trailer. Talk about small world. I see you have the Australian infantry. That's a good trio with Gurckus and Japanese infantry. That's another cool collection of toys you have. I used to have some Corgi cars. One I remember well was the Mini minor German Polize early car. Once I had a good collection of toys myself now it's mostly model Aircraft and some vehicles and different model 1/35 soldiers.👍🙂🇭🇲🦘✌️

I ahve seen on a Facebook group for vintage Lego that they did quit a few of those deals with certain companys around the world.
I had the knights, the bridge, the Far East Infantry (all 3), all 4 of the European and African forces - happy, smiley memories.
Crescent! I had some of those as well (not these ones though). Your channel had me thinking about the other toy knights I had as kid, and I had forgotten about Crescent. Thanks for bringing back the memories.
Glad I could bring some memories. So many great knight from all different companys back then.
I remember getting the Lego town planning board and the Shell Garage set for Xmas one year.
In the photo I´m talking about in the video I have a Shell gas station. It´s very hard to find and I need to save up some money to get it.
@@toysoldiernostalgia I remember the yellow petrol pumps. I had one in the Lego box for years. gave all my Lego to my, then girlfriend's daughter nearly 30 years ago.
Lovely nostalgia trip. We were lucky in the 1970’s. The newer 1/32 Airfix figures in the harder plastic are much better to paint.
I wanna. Visit sweden someday the tank museum especially 😂lol
I´m talking with that museum (Arsenalen) right now if I can film a video on the Matchbox Battle Kings there. We´ll se if they let me :)

Great stuff all the old Lego.

I painted some of the new hard plastic figures and regular Vallejo spray primer works great.
I had the police Range Rover. I think it's 1:43 scale. The colour scheme was called marmalade sandwich, as in Paddington Bear 😂
I also love the old guards colour party, I've no idea why but it's almost an addiction, so much so that I bought 4 boxes of the recent re-issues. So sorry it got broke. I’m really disappointed. It looked like the box got crushed.
No worries I think it´s fixable :)
As a fellow collector, I'm surprised how rough you are with these items.
I usually don´t brake things so I think it should be fine.
