What a great video! Listening to your excitement is such terrific tonic! I'm sat painting my Napoleonic 54mm figures...not thought about a UA-cam channel yet...but maybe in the future...I also used to work away from home and then lock myself away to open all those parcels I had sent myself! I'm still laughing and smiling at the joy of it all...thank you for such a great channel. Lov it
I had forgotten I had the Timpo castle until you unwrapped it, and I recognised immediately how the walls fit together, and the trees. Will watch the video for that as well now 🙂
I a had vauge memory of having a castle when I was a kid. But couldn´t for the life of me remember what it was. But I kinda remembered the playmat. So I went on a Goolge hunt and finaly found what set it was when I recognized the playmat in some photos.
Just found your channel - loved the Airfix 1/72 and the larger 1/32 soldiers from my childhood -still have them in their boxes….what a great UA-cam channel - cheers from England
Wow! Out of all that lot unpacked i had the Timpo Crusaders no Castle, had the Airfix soldiers but no British infantry and i did have a couple of the Matcbox tanks the Tiger and the metallic green tank. I never or seen the ship toys. Its a show of what i had and other misses. I loved my times with some of those toys i did have. Sorely miss the 70s. The best times with cool toys.👍🇭🇲🦘🐨✌️
The 1/72nd scale US and German para's perhaps my two favourites. Well pleased when Airfix reissued them, as the two sealed boxes I own are worth too much to open along with my first issue 8th Army which cost about £60.00 imported all the way from Alabama. I must be bloody nuts!
That mediaeval castle that’s amazing imagine with you was like seven years old that would’ve been out of this world toys but then was so much better than PlayStation
I had the King Tiger mine was silver with black camo stripes. Love the videos. I had the Timeouts knights and the cowboys and Indians. I had the train with the batteries in the tender. Amazing nostalgia!
GOOD VIDEO SIR ,ENJOY YOUR COLLECTION AS IT A GOOD STRESS RELIEF. I HAVE THE CHINA KNOCKOFF OF THOSE SHIPS,ABOUT 25 YRS.AGO DOLLAR TREE HAD TWO TO A PACK.THEY WORKED WELL IN WARGAMES. TAKE CARE
Hello there, I have just recently found your channel. I think you’re the Swedish version of me or I’m the Aussie version of you. Most things you collect I have. It was particularly apparent with your Exin Castillo set, which I have about six sets of it unboxed and one of the French castles boxed. I collect most brands of kits from the 70/80s particularly Airfix, Matchbox kits, Frog, Tamiya and Esci. My wife even thinks we look similar. Loving the channel and unboxing.
Is it possible to make videos showing the content of the catalogs from your collection? Seeing pictures in each pages of such catalogs would be great, at least for me.
3:42 Exactly that red box (1/32 scale Airfix WW2 British Infantry) I ordered myself a couple of weeks ago. Not sure i'm going to play with them but after 40 years my 1/32 scale WW2 collection is finally complete. 😀 The castle is GREAT, I don't recognize the set but a nephew had a similar one. EDIT: I'm still missing the Italian set.... not sure if iIm going to pursue them on Ebay or something. The British set was easy to get on several sites. Not so the Italian set.
Lovbbe your unboxing videos and the good memories it brings back... I think I had that Castle set, have a feeling that my figures was slightly different so either there was different versions or my memory fails me. Anyways, thanks (again) for the sweet content!
@@toysoldiernostalgia Loved your enthusiasm (kinda like my own just watching!) over the castle set and the tanks! Looks like you could do a 70's war toys museum with all your nice boxes :)
@@haveguitar I`m trying to loosen up more and just show how I feel. I have 4 playsets in packages that I`m gonna make a video on soon. It`s almost like being a kid at christmas and seeing those presents under the tree for a few days before christmas.
It's rather ironic that the Waterloo Highlanders you needed, came from a seller in France. Waterloo is in Belgium, and the battle in 1815 did not go the way that the French had hoped. 😆😆😆
Even as a kid I thought those Battle Kings were pretty rubbish; as an Airfix kid I wanted more realistic. However, the nostalgia and collectability is not lost on me so, nice one.
I had the battlekings M3 halftrack as a 10 year old. It went well with the Matchbox figures but certainly the bright green paintwork would have stood out like a sore thumb in Normandy!
@@toysoldiernostalgia I bought a set of the British Paratroopers last year and was moderately disappointed because they're made of hard plastic like their model kits. Be careful with the thin gun barrels and radio antenna, can be easily broken. Prefer the softer plastic from the 70 - 80's.
@@davidwong4 Yup same thing with the red box ones I did a video on. I don´t buy these to collect or even paint. It´s just for comparing to the original ones. To bad Hornby decided to go with hard crappy plastic.
Yeah it`s kinda hard finding certain items in certain markets. Some Matchbox playsets I almost always see for sale in the US (on Ebay) and some only in the UK.
Nice. It had a few of those tanks and the half track. They were cool. Nice memories.
Your video Brings back good childhood memories....good times
My cat Eartha so enjoyed my toy soldier collection. She enjoyed knocking them onto the floor to remind them who is the Boss!
Lol them cats.
Those Battle Kings were amazing when I was a kid and it was great to see them again, thanks for uploading
I will do a video on them later.

Thankyou for sharing. That Medieval Castle is a jackpot!!!😊
Finding one on the swedish auction site is unbelievable. Pure luck that I was searching for other stuff then Airfix at that time.
Yu're killing me. I want the castle :)

Cool 👍. I had the silver kingtiger when I was a kid.
Me to :) Still have it.
@@toysoldiernostalgia that's cool. I lost mine when I moved
@@leebalmforth2269 mine is pretty beaten up though from all the play.
Very cool. The Britains trees were very similar, floppy rubber foliage and harder plastic trunk 😊
