Guys, believe me when I tell you this, you have only just begun your journey with BAND-MAID. You will feel the same wonder and amazement so many more times, way more than you ever thought possible. The best way to take the deep dive and really get to know a lot about the band and their humble beginnings is to check out the documentary series created by Maidiac MVP Orhenje. They are narrated by fellow Maidiac, Kasper Michaels, and are really high quality. They are so full of info and great stories that you can't help but feel a lot closer to the ladies.
Thanks again for another great reaction and remember:
Life is so much BETTER with BAND-MAID!
🤘😝🤘
BAND-MAID started in 2013. The video for the song THRILL came out in 2014 but went worldwide in 2015 garnering over a million views in less than two weeks. In 2016, their management finally allowed them to record their own composition ALONE (written by Kanami with lyrics by Miku). Since then, Miku writes most of the lyrics with Saiki also contributing and Kanami, the genius behind all the music, with MISA and Akane's valuable input to complete it all.
Miku (guitar/vocalist) created the concept of the band. She discovered Kanami (lead guitarist) via internet. Kanami asked her friend Akane (drummer) to join and Akane coaxed her old music school mate MISA (bassist) to join as well. A couple of months later they found Saiki (lead vocalist) and thus BAND-MAID became what you hear and see today.
Thank you for reacting to this amazing group. Look forward to more.
For me, they are the new hard rock standard. The bar has been raised!
To get a more in-depth understanding of the band and the individual members, you need to react to a seven part series produced by Ohrenje, a UA-cam VLOG'er on his UA-cam channel. He is more than willing to share the series with other UA-cam channels. Each video is about thirty minutes in length, highlighting each individual bandmember specifically. The series starts with Saiki, the lead vocalist (and the last member to join the band), then Kanami, the lead guitarist and the first member to join Miku. After that, Akane, the drummer, is featured, then MISA, the bassist. The final three videos focus on Miku, her background and how the band was actually formed, and on Miku's quirky personality both outside of and during live concerts. You're going to love the series and the bandmembers after reacting to them.
THE best Hard Rock band on Earth. Think that's everything covered.
Twas ever thus!
@chrisegbertky Tis truth.
If you wonder why the audience is so "warmed up"? The first tone you hear in this video is the last note of the song "Play". If you react to that, you will wonder how the audience still have energy to sing along to this song.
Miku "What do you want to do today Sai-chan?" Sai-chan " The same thing we do every day, try to take over the World!"
You gotta find away to see them live, it's incredible
Magical band 🔥❤️ Their musicianship is on their own level 🔥❤️ Band-Maid forever 🤘❤️
It's just not energy, it's positive and uplifting energy.
If you want to hear their stiory check out the documentary serries about each member of the band by orenje. It is available on youtube. You can react to it and give him a shout out... Watch them in the order Saiki, Kanami, Akane, Misa, Miku Kobato.
Ohrenje
Ohrenje !
🤔 I think I've listen to this song around 1,147 time... _(Is the amount of times it has been reacted to.)_ 🤣😂🙂🙃
😮💨 and Yes I have no life 🤪🍺 *BAND-MAID* is my life 🍺😆
We be vibing I assure you. I would imagine I've listened to Domination easily over 800 times since 2020.
Nothing more badass than strong women dressed as maids making killer music. KILLER. Not just good. Kanami Tono still practices 3.5 to 4 hrs a day with 4 hrs of composition a day. Everyday.
Bandmaid ~ you may outplay them and you might outsing them but you'll never outwork them! They are the Greatest Proper Rock and Roll band of the 21st century IMHO. Also the sun is bright and water is wet IMHO.
Go watch the documentaries by Ohrenje and start with Saiki Atsumi. Excellent quality productions! Go ahead and react to them. We love it! One of the joys of being a Maidiac is watching the awakening of a new Maidiac!
Band Maid is:
MIKU (mee-koo)
Rhythm guitar, backing vocals, writes the lyrics. The band’s founder. She is “the little pigeon”.
KANAMI (kah-nah-mee)
Lead guitar. A classically trained musician, she writes and arranges all the music. “Mincho”
MISA (mee-sah)
Bass. The band’s secret weapon. “The barefoot assassin”.
AKANE (ah-kah-neh)
The Happiest drummer on Earth. “The Gorilla” is the other half of the best rhythm section on the planet.
SAIKI (sigh-kee)
Lead vocals. Front man. “The Ice Queen”,
She’s also the team mom.
I take it you guys like hard driving rock, perhaps with a Motorhead vibe. Well gents, I have two Band-Maid songs you should react to. Those songs are "Clang" and "Moratorium", the officlal live music videos. I think you will love them both. They are favorites of we Maidiacs. The two songs are ones that you put on the play-mix for car stereo, crank up the sound, and proceed to break the speed limit.
8:14 that's the student and the teacher for you.
👍👍Awesome performance.🔥🔥🔥 Great reaction. 🖖❤
If you want to start at their beginnings then watch their very first mv "Thrill" (from 2013, which got viral in 2014) and their second released video of "Real Existence". If you want to compare MV vs Live then do a double feature of Real Existence (mv and live, both official releases). You'll hear the difference!
If you even want to learn more don't hesitate and watch the wonderful documentaries from Ohrenje in the following order: Saiki, Kanami, Akane, Misa and Miku (7 videos, each about 30 minutes long). Ohrenje is a very active and talented BM fan from France. Also watch his short introduction videos to his channel and Band Maid: ua-cam.com/video/zRvWuMqDMtk/v-deo.html.
Some more suggestions:
"Alone", their first own composition (after this almost everyone was composed by kanami)
"Freedom", which demonstrates their joy playing on stage
"Moratorium", a perfect example for a heavy sound with a catchy singalong
"Play", meant to be an instrumental but Saiki liked that song so much, so they added lyrics to it
And all those other fantastic songs: Blooming, Corallium, Manners/Black Hole (Do the online live performance!), Puzzle, Show them with "The Warning", Order MV, Bubble, From now on, Onset, Dice, .... and their ballads and accoustics!!
Band Maid is unique in their style of integrating pop sensibilities with heavy metal instrumentation. They will write a classic rock riff, but bring a pop chorus. Or a punk rock beat inside a progressive rock song.
Some of the rhythms will make you expect a gutteral screaming vocalist, but Saiki will deliver beautifully smooth melodies.
One of the fan favorites with unexpected changes is “Moratorium,” LIVE if course.
Enjoy your journey 🚀
Rock on AMP, great reaction! You get it! Looking forward to many more Band-Maid reaction from you guys!
Drum solo? Try the song Freedom from the same concert. Major drum solo.
I thought the best of rock was behind us. I remember seeing Rush, Van Halen, Zepplin in the old days. BUT the best of Rock just moved to Japan … and Band Maid is it. You can just pick any song to listen to and you’ll love it. Great react and welcome to the Masters and princesses … The Maidiacs. I LOVE BAND MAID ❤❤
Check out "Freedom" live, from the same concert. There's some great drum stuff in there. But the biggest thing is watch how they all are smiling all the way through. They are having a blast performing with each other.
💜💛❤💙💚
Man, that rocks. Thanks for the reaction
Respect! So true. 👌
To hear their story there are some excellent documentaries that go over each member in detail, but my first introduction to them as people is an interview they did on a Japanese tv show pretty early in their career called Music Gold Rush.
It’s very funny and very Japanese, but you learn the band origin and get a fair bit of each of their personalities.

Part 2: ua-cam.com/video/YzWETTu-4iE/v-deo.htmlsi=Xd-wkyDT5IQjzSyy
The greatest band in the world!
If you notice, Miku falls on her butt at the end of this solo with Mincho, which is not rare.
She also falls the in the live version of Freedom.
She is known for her many bruises.
From my understanding, she's stepping down backwards from the "Ego Step". Not a fall at all.
@@kent-oveprestberg3578 That's how I see it too.
@@kent-oveprestberg3578 Yes, I believe they all move out of the way so the audience can focus on Akane. They do that on "Freedom" as well.
Like the energy? That was song 22 of 23, they never let up. The notes you hear dying out at the beginning was the ending of "Play", another banger you should hear. Note the date in the opening splash, their last concert with an audience before the you-know-what. Thanks for the reaction!
If you want to learn about Band-Maid, you must watch Ohrenje's documentary series of Band-Maid. It is one of the best documentary series you will find on any musician/group. Just remember to watch them in order 1. Saiki 2. Kanami 3. Akane 4. Misa 5. Miku Pt 1 Pt 2 Pt 3.
I would suggest the "Gold Rush" interview as a warm up for the tremendous Ohrenje docs.....Ohrenje rules!!!!
If you want to start from the beginning check out "Thrill" Official MV ( The song that saved Band-Maid ) ! You can also check out Ohrenje " Band Maid Documentary / Kobato Miku Part 1 " Miku (Red Rose ) She is the founder of Band-Maid =)
Learn about the Maids? Music Gold Rush episodes 73 and 74 is a good place to start and you can see some of their personalities in their early days. It's in Japanese, but there are subtitle. And then for more in depth knowledge...as others have suggested, the 7 part Ohrenje series is a must. Follow the order Saiki, Kanami, Akane, MISA and then our Little Pigeon Miku (she's special and deserves the 3 part in the series). Sounds like a lot, but trust us...they are well produced, full of information and entertaining. The saying "Time flies when you're having fun"...each episode flies by and you will want to do one after another. You two are already impressed with what you've seen so far...you will be even more in awe after you learn about each member and what they bring to the band. Enjoy the docu journey you're about to embark on. Can't wait to see you two react to them. PO!🕊 🤘😆🤘
Best rock band on the planet. Try REAL EXISTENCE, the live version, for another barn burner.
🕊️🌏🌎🌍
🤘🤘
IF you want a longer drum solo, you should watch "Freedom (live)".
Really enjoying the reactions guys ... I play bass and I've tried Misa's trick of palming her pick while she slaps ... lost a lotta picks man !! ... I've been following these ladies for a few years now and always jealous of those just starting the journey .. welcome down the rabbit hole :)
New Subby from Aust.
"Thrill" MV saved them - their first clip - an it's one that got a lot of us into em.
Also, try "Onset" live ... an instrumental where they all get a chance to shine.
An as everyone will tell you ... pick anything - cos they ARE that good.
Just found your channel. Subbed. Do you know about Lovebites?
Another all female Japanese band.
Metal. Sing in English. Try the song: Holy War. Live. I prefer the 2020 concert. Its all good. They have a new bassist. Mind blowing talent
Domination is a nice song and BAND-MAID are very good. Nice reaction.
Now, I have an advice though. Please consider to fix better sound. I guess you are taking the sound via speakers and microphone. Which is not uncommon for reactors that do not use headphones. To get optimal sound you really need to use headphones and take the sound electronically from the video.
U guys r maidiacs, double down moratorium live zepp in Tokyo po!
Love Band Maid. My favorite Japanese Band, followed by One Ok Rock, Wagakki, Doll$boxx and Hanabie. One of my favorites of theirs is Daydreaming, which of course has to be heard LIVE, like everything from every Japanese band.
ua-cam.com/video/g6S05uwq8-M/v-deo.html
👍👍👍👍👍
then try to watch the documentary of each member of band maid you will know how they start from then and now on orenghe channel pls do and a lot maidiacs will be happy to watch nice reaction new sub here
I'm sure it was a good reaction but because the audio on the music video sounded like it was played back through a Radio Shack telephone answering machine from 1974 I couldn't watch.
I'm old enough to appreciate that description!
They lost me at "Its your Boy"🤣
Enhypen daydream mv reaction plz
Why do you have the music coming through a mic? It sounds like it's in a can. And your other mics are overloading. You need to overhaul you sound if your a music reaction channel.
You paused at the very climax of the song!! Hopeless...
