      Will do. But just as an idea, the difference between intermediate-advanced are really, really hard combos is that you need more control, agility, speed. So if you take an intermediate combo and add body-movement, syncopation and other details, it transforms it into a really difficult combo :P

    Thank you once again for awesome and informative tutorial. A new camera angle is a nice touch.
    Got a question for you too - how do you keep yourseñves from burning out? I mean show performances, workshops, competitions. I feel like I'm reaching the boiling point, and I don't want to quit. Thanks

    • @MariusElenaBachata
      @MariusElenaBachata  2 роки тому

      The short answer is find a balance. Focus on what you want more. If you train for competition, use that coreo for performances. If you have a team, teach them the coreography and let them train it them selves, giving objectives. You just check in from time to time to give feedback. For workshops... train during your classes. We teach our students what we are going to teach at an workshop. That way we can refine the details.
      It's not good when artists just wing the workshops. THat is not right (i.e. just improvising on the spot). Also, the demo should not take you a lot of time to create if you constantly train. Because your body is already trained, you just need to create something with what you already know while putting those elements on music.
      That's about it. If you can give more details about your difficulties with all these, I can help you more. Peace and love :P

    When dancing socially how many times would you say the average dancer repeats a combo like this in a single song? Given the combo is like 10-15 seconds long.

    • @MariusElenaBachata
      @MariusElenaBachata  2 роки тому +1

      Hmmm.... there are a lot of factors/variables. I am going to say that the average dancer repeats only elements, but not the same combo. You can repeat a "headroll" ten times in a song, but from different positions or in different combinations.
      I don't think I have met anyone that repeats the exact same combo twice (a long one like this). Again, not talking about the elements that make a combination (headrolls, wave, hammerlock etc...)

      This is quite a tough one to lead. I'm finding followers don't always / often have their left hand in the neutral position after the hook turn when you lead a left half turn for her so you can't get her back the other way :) but you sure do have to pay attention to your lead on this one!
