This was a great video, thank you - I've been searching and this video was exactly what I wanted! Informative, no excess nonsense and easy to follow. This has been so helpful
So glad it was helpful! Tallow is the term used for beef fat. It has many uses, such as cooking, making soap, candles, salves and skin balms, etc. Hope that helps!
We just split a quarter with another family (not from this farm) and I feel like it's not worth it. Why am i paying for hanging weight of 120 lbs when we barely got 60 lbs of meat total. It ended up being much more expensive than the grocery store and we will not being doing this again.
Unfortunately we do not as of right now. We're looking into it though, and hope to be able to in the near future. If you would like we could contact you when that option becomes available?
100-130 pounds a quarter hanging weight then 65% of the hanging weight what 80 pound divided by 600+ your butcher ok so just the flat rate with out the butcher fee is 7.50 a pound the best ground beef is 5.00 a pound but you paying 7.50 so your over paying for half if you meat by 2.50 so no it is not even close to saving money your just buying all at one time.
$600 includes the butcher and processing costs so yes you're saving a substantial amount of money buying from a farmer 🙄. How do you people get to be so dumb 🙄
Your narration was perfect. Not a lot of wasted dialogue.
