Love the drone flying in an active wildfire zone(GrandJean). Really goes well with the smell of USFS structures burning, because air attack can’t fly with drones up. Man if you’d just stayed a day or 2 more, you could’ve made Idaho news, by becoming trapped when both directions of Hwy 21 closed. Campfire was legal but kinda disrespectful, lot of what ifs that you probably can’t put out with your limited water. Maybe just stick to full size trails, with your full size truck. Leave the 50” and under trails to the smaller vehicles.
.... agreed, probably not a solid decision to be flying in proximity to the fire, however at the time it was being "managed" by BNF and word on the street was they had no air assets assigned. This would also add to the string of bad decisions by BNF allowing this fire to run unimpeded. Also the road to Seafoam is not a 50" trail ...
came up in my algorithm, watched about 5 mins and thought this man must have at least 100k subs. let’s run it up chat this content is peaceful and wholesome as hell
@@definitelynotbadger841 You'd think ... I reached out to BNF earlier and politely asked what they were waiting for. They responded that they were not responsible for implementing fire restrictions... that falls under Idaho State Dept Lands. Seems like a monkey F*cking a football to me?
@@weswarren5987 The FAA can impose a civil penalty of up to $20,000 for interfering with wildfire suppression efforts. Interfering with firefighting efforts on public lands is a federal crime that can result in up to 12 months in prison. Flying a drone near a wildfire is breaking the law. Per the U.S. Code of Federal Regulations, 43 CFR 9212.1 (f), it is illegal to resist or interfere with the efforts of firefighter(s) to extinguish a fire. All wildfires include a TFR(Temporary Flight Restriction) and violating those with any aircraft, drone or otherwise is a severe punishment. Depending on the type of TFR, you can get punished in three different ways for a TFR violation: (1) you can be criminally punished up to a maximum of 1 year in federal prison and a $100,000 fine, (2) you can have your pilot or drone license suspended or revoked, and/or (3) receive a civil penalty by itself or on-top of the $100,000 fine. No photo or video is worth multiple years in federal prison and 100s of thousands of dollars in fines. The National Interagency Fire Center(NIFC) says it best: “If you fly, we can’t.”
Just binged your cross country trip, so inspiring. Can’t wait to see what’s next, subscribed!

Flying a drone in a restricted area.

There was no 🔥 fire ban?
No. Not in that area. I always check prior.
@@TheBananaRonwhat? Most of the state was in a fire ban.

Did Aaron give you that pin? We were there last year. The lower lake is better. Zero fish in that pond.
We caught the one, but he jumped off.
Place is loaded with gold
How can you have a fire 7:33 😆 wtf
Everywhere is on fire around so the extreme fire danger signs don’t register to me, they’re already going
@@weswarren5987he not super bright. With his all terrains and flying a drone somewhere that air attack was trying to fly.
