Nice dude. I love fly fishing in the winter there are so many opportunities for awesome days on the water with little to no other anglers because it’s cold
Yeah everything is great about the winter but the freezing of your guides, reel, hands, and feet 😂 Really pays off when u get a nice fish like this though
I'm not from up north NJ. I'm based out of the Woodbridge area. But as a lover of freezing temperatures and cold weather snow or not. I must tell you. There is something about up north that is really enjoyable
People saying I handled the fish for too long, the fish was in the water the majority of the time I was recording and I only took it out for a few seconds at a time (my hands kept freezing each time I touched the water so I just kept putting the fish into my net so it could breath). The fish swam away stong and fine and I made sure to revive it but before I even could it swam out of my hands super strong.
yeah Ive been getting a lot of comments saying that. In the moment though it was the biggest fish ive caught in 2 years and I had it in the water for the majority of the time in the net. Its face was out of the water for less than a min so im sure the fish did fine. It swam off strong.

Did your friend said he wants to eat it? Wtf? Didn’t know you guys were fishing for meat.
Nah I rarely ever keep fish… my friend just wanted to bring one for his parents but we didn’t that day
