    I’ve been trying to improve my tremolo, and - once again - Wayne’s video is what’s helped me the most. SO many thanks, Wayne.

    Tremolo is so deceptively simple and really requires focus. It can add real variety and color to any solo and give your solo a chance to breath a little.

    More terrific instruction. For anyone considering 1 on 1 sessions, I highly recommend it. Wayne gave me some great tremolo exercises that helped me a ton. Very excited about the future merch too. At minimum, I need some case stickers. Thanks Wayne!

    Wayne, the tip of monitoring the downward pressure of your thumb is a great thought! Right hand tension is the main roadblock in my playing currently and I’m gonna give this tip a thorough test drive!!

    We’ve met a bunch at festivals and talked a little. I play a Gibson Sam Bush and a custom built mandolin you liked. I am not sure where I need help to bring what I’ve learned together. I’m sure you can put me on the right track with a few 1 on 1 sessions. When is best to schedule with you and can I afford it😅

    Great lesson as usual, Wayne. Thank you. Do you have any little tips for achieving a good tremolo at a higher BPM? That’s when I seem start to lose the sound I’m looking for.

      Try finding the tempo you're comfortable with and play with a metronome. Gradually increase the bpm but maintain a good solid tremelo technique. Give this 10 minutes a day for 3 days a week and check your progress over 2 months.

    Hello Wayne, what is better: practise tremelo in the beginning with one pair of strings or with double stops? Gr Theo

      Start with a simple scale and after you're comfortable with that move on to a double stop scale. That gives you an attainable goal. Good luck!

    I watched Sierra Hull, and she turns the pointed end of the pick to the more rounded side, so I have picked up this habit, and it seems to work for me. I would like some feedback on this pick position if anyone else uses it.

      Yep, holding the pick at an angle is a common technique to pull a nice round even tone. Sierra has mastered mandolin .....

    I pick up melody when I hear a tune pretty easy. I just need to find chords. I can fill in stuff ok. Know where I’m weak? Can you help or do I just need to stay with these lessons. They really help! I need a major big T shirt. 4 or 5x I advertise well!

    Wayne, you appear to move your RH up more over the neck when you go into tremolo, is that right?

    • @waynesworldofmandolin3616
      @waynesworldofmandolin3616  2 роки тому

      The move forward is about the tone of the tremelo, for a brighter sounding tremelo I stay closer to the bridge. Practice tremelo with both of those right hand placements so that when those particular sounds are desired you can execute.....
