Decades old Diesel Locomotives in railways must also concern emissions, as they exaust large amount of Smoke, consumes 10 to 25 Litres diesel per kilometre.
Then Nitin Gadkari should also think about balancing their thoughts on taxes if he want to increase on diesel automobile then he should also decrease on EV
then he should increase bus ticket rates so that people do not use diesel buses...ah then votes will go...

EV market is not picking up pace, simply because the cost is too high. Diesel cars have higher mileage which govt does not consider in decision making. Nor it is able to control the petrol cost. In any case, the loss is for the Indian consumer.

Diesel has more power, torque, better mileage, so pollution should be calculated on pollution per kilometre. Not per litre
That way, on "amount of work done" , diesel will turn out to be equal to petrol. Government's approach should be more scientific, than political with half knowledge
The problem with Diesel is that they expel 3 times more Nitrogen dioxide and also Diesel fumes are 10-20 times more dangerous to breathe than petrol fumes....
Which is why they are not advised in densely populated areas...

@@yaduvarma9854 then ask govt to reduce tax on hybrid vehicles. Why they are not given single penny reduction in tax. Then city pollution will reduce drastically and will have power on highways, and still be cheaper than EV.

EV is not a one stop solution...
Those were the old days when diesel used to b unrefined, yes it is still less refined thn ptrl but it is also less polutnt, diesel gives better avg thn ptrl .
EV gives more avg. than your diesel

The RBI's current currency-issuing system is known as the Minimum Reserve System. It was passed into law in 1956.
EV infrastructure improve Karo. EV k rate km Karo. Diesel apne aap hi Kam bikega .
Govt should first work on building the network for electric cars and then think on taking these kind of decisions

Considering on board power storage offer by diesel still no any source of fuel can compete. Also take a example of 1.5 diesel and 1.5 ltr petrol diesel still offer good effeciency and performance too eventhough hybrid vehicles still struggling to match cost, effeciency and performance with same price diesel vehicles.

He says way too many things. Earlier they made 6 airbags compulsory but now just because of Maruti’s lobbying this is not mandatory anymore.
They are already charging way too many taxes on the cars.
What about old trucks which are years old and still running on diesel
The whole thought process should be on efficiency. Deliverance and affordability which Diesel gives. CNG is a good option but availability, serviceability on long distance travel is nit yet established. EV is still a nascent technology.
Any statement made by any senior leadership should have a well planned well laid ground operated system as systems laid in 100 years cannot be changed overnight. Secondly increase in prices of diesel will drastically increase inflation which will deerabilize the economy in multifold.

We need an Elon Musk of India. But the govt knows it is not possible. Who will fight with bureaucracy.. it is easier to by pass them and start an outsourcing, service or a SaaS company. A new guy can’t do it in India.

Simple deposit system it is the metallic reserve against issued notes

Option A minimum reserve system. Iss minimum reserve ko base karke RBI notes issue karti hai. Woh kitne bhee notes issue kar sakti hai.
Diesel has greater calorific value. Give more energy in 1L than petrol due higher density. Transportation vehicles will use diesel. Petrol will burn faster, more pollution. Plus plus the way we manufacture EVs, also depends on the source of Cobalt nickel and all the renewable materials come from polluting sources there is no way that greenhouse gases will reduce.
That's why when a policies made you need while educated department specific people it should not be one size fits all kind of policy

Load shedding Se jaan ja rahi hai

When the govt puts more tax on diesel it is good because diesel causes more pollution. When they increase the tax on petrol it is also good because we should all buy EVs anyway (never mind if they are more expensive and the cost of replacing the battery). Similarly if they increase the tax on electricity it is also good because the govt is getting more money.
Govt diesel ka rate km karna chahta he, taki bus aur truck me trnsport kharcha km ho aur saman km daam me mile.
Petrol rate badhake logo ko electric ke side dhakka lagao.

Hybrid is the gud for now toyota launched innova hycross it got so many booking it has 2.5 years of waiting and toyota has stopped taking bookings
Then decrease the cost of electric cars. Its not affordable. Even a decent electric car is of 15lac and its features not good enough compared petrol cars of 10lac.
