Fucking incredible work translating Christopher Larkin’s fantastic music into note blocks, I wouldn’t have guessed this to be possible, but it’s as close as it could’ve possibly been!
When I was referring to biggest, I meant in terms of rooms, sure those areas are bigger but as far as the number of rooms goes, forgotten crossroads has the most, which meant I had to do the code and setup for each one.
@@C1OUS3R surprised to find out that deepnest isn't the one with the most rooms somehow, but ig it has more larger rooms than crossroads does, and the crossroads themselves connect to a lot of other areas

Fun fact: you can get another mask (by getting 4 mask shards) in crossroads, the one from sly, the one you get by rescue 5 grubs, by killing brooding mawlek, and that room with groams, you normally need claw to get it, but you can get it by doing pogo on a vengefly (it can take time, but is posible)

When you described the size, enemies, and bosses of just the starter areas, it really put into perspective just how massive Hollow Knight is, since that would be plenty of content already for a full game.

You have to lure a vengefly over and pogo off of it, which is very annoying and time-consuming to get right, and also not really worth it, but doing things out of order in Hollow Knight makes me feel cool :)

This is insane! The HK community is feeding well, with a bit of news, HK in minecraft AND a new mossbag stream! Just to point out though, husk guards do double damage and the stag can go to the dirtmouth station.
This mod and the Bloodborne one are some of the coolest things I've seen a modding community do. Some of the workarounds you found to make the mechanics work were really creative. Keep up the great work on this amazing mod! I can't wait to beat pantheon 5 and rage at Markoth in Minecraft before Silksong releases.
Incredible attention to detail and commitment. The execution is nearly flawless! One thing I noticed missing is lighting. Hollow Knight uses a glow affect to add visibility to creatures, benches, etc. and to make the environments pop. I think adding similar lighting effects would take this to the next level. Also, the stag station does connect to Dirtmouth!
As a complete Hollow Knight nerd, this is really cool mainly for the very well done build. Though I dod notice all the little inaccuracies you missed like the Husk Guards dealing double damage with their tusk attacks, the Husk Bully missing, and Forgotten Crossroads being far from the largest area in the game (City of Tears and Deepnest) but you addressed the rest really well. Overall super cool.
This is the most impressive Minecraft project I’ve ever seen. As someone with hundreds of hours in Hollow knight, this is such a good conversion of a giant chunk of the game!
As a person that has beaten path of pain 112% steel soul and played the game for over 500 hours this was a great video to watch have been waiting for silksong since the trailer came out. Hopefully it will come out in 2024!

15:48 there are 2 enemies (both Husk Guards) in Forgotten Crossroads that deal double damage (2 masks.) One is guarding a grub to the far right, past the Black Egg Temple, while the other is on the way to the False Knight, you have to get past it if you want to fight the False Knight. Just wanted to clarify that, not sure how hard that would be coding wise. I am very impressed with the game conversion though, good job.
at 17:35 - Fun fact about the hot springs in Hollow Knight, they also heal you if you are injured while in them. This is usually redundant because the bench beside it also heals you. Edit: I watched fireb0rn"s playthrough of this mod and it looks like healing while in the hot spring is coded into the mod. Awesome!!
This is amazing! I love how you pay so much attention to detail and you've actually played most of the game instead of going "wow i made the crawl lids works and pretended its the whole game this is the epicest thing everest im so cool" Also you kept it mostly like Minecraft and didn't add too many mods that completely change the look and feel to where it might as well not be Minecraft. I would prefer if the whole thing had NO mods at all and maybe use display entities for the NPCs, but for this it can't really be avoided. Here are some bugs/things that are just different from the game I found: -Individual tab for EVERY achievement -THERES NOT THINGS I CAN BREAK EVERYWHERE -cant hold to continue healing -aspid projectiles go through walls -all enemies respawn as soon as you re-enter a room -hidden rooms always visible -husk guard has infinite range shockwave and no double damage -no husks in false knight room -cant hit false knight projectiles + no skip -false knight doesnt even move his mace after he jumps smh

HK has as little UI as possible so that it's easier to see enemies and attacks during battles. Something better would be actually using the hotbar or inventory for items like map. When highlighted you can look it up.

Let me emphasize that this map is very good and this is like the only problem with it and it's not even a bad problem
There is actually a fifth husk called the husk bully but I don't blame you for missing it because it is very similar to the wondering husk!
