After rehab in 90, Elton has changed a lot, in everything, but here he reminds me very much of that Elton from ' 89 - the same movements and facial expressions!
On this day in 1970 {August 25th} Elton John began a seventeen-night run at The Troubadour in Los Angeles, CA... He was introduced by Neil Diamond {the 1st night}; and in the audience were Leon Russell, Quincy Jones, and future Eagles member Don Henley... Three days later "Border Song" would enter Billboard's Hot Top 100 chart for a five week stay, peaking at #92... And three months later on November 28th "Your Song" would make the Top 100 and become his first Top 10 record, reaching #8...
It was actually a six night run at the Troubador. No less significant, however, having been listed by Rolling Stone as one of the top 20 most important concert events in the history of rock ‘n’ roll. As for this particular video, nice to see a more contemporary rendering by EJ.

@@abstractalexx9031 If you follow Elton John and are interested in his piano playing a little you know he always plays his Yamaha Grand Piano's in electric piano mode (they are MIDI). He uses the Roland MKS-20 Sound Module and the Yamaha Motif Rack, and a little bit of the piano's acoustic sound, to create his live piano sound. So he wants the piano to be in electric piano mode, and you clearly hear that it's not when he starts playing it.
Not only one of my favorite Elton John songs but one of my favorite sons period. Simple and beautiful
my all-time favorite Elton tune!
lol i love how his piano was in the wrong setting when he was about to start playing. And his funny quips as a reaction makes it even better.
i envy conan. Having the chance to get to meet elton john. And so many other people, but especially elton john.
Absolutely top notch vocals are on point hairs stand up !
Damn i wished he still sounded like this!! Strong n powerful
As old as he is getting now his voice is still very powerful hes just losing his range which is normal but i agree. I love his 90's voice.
@@tigress63 I just went to a concert of his on the farewell tour and he sounded great for his age.
@@tigress63 It's 2022, and he sounds better than 2020. Thanks god
Amazing early piece. Still one of my faves.
One awesome man singing an awesome song. Happy Easter
Love Elton John. Been a big ass fan since I was 10. He is AMAZING. Can't wait to see him live October 8th in Santa Clara Ca 2022

What a coincidence. I saw him on October 8 in Santa Clara, too, and it was epic as hell!

The moment he started singing, my body starts to tense. That's the electrocution that music gives to revive the body.
Simplesmente Elton John
I was there! Meg where RU?
What did Elton hand Conan?
It's Pimp-bot's fault!
