I'm 28 and been lowkey bumping Bee Gees since high school when my friends dad played a track called "too much heaven" that shit put me in a trance on how beautiful it was.
lol...every Bee Gee fan starts out secretly liking them.
The Bee Gees were kings of Disco, which all happened in the 1970's - trust that none of this was recorded anywhere CLOSE to the 2000's 😅
And Donna Summers was the queen of disco
The Bee Gees are actually brothers: Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, & Robin Gibb, and they started way back around 1960. The Night Fever video was filmed in 1977, and part of the movie soundtrack for SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER, starring John Travolta, which contains most of the Bee Gees Disco era hits. Maurice Gibb died in 2003, and Robin Gibb died in 2012. Barry Gibb (the lead singer & writer) is the last surviving member of the Bee Gees, and is now about 74 years old. So glad you help keep their music alive!
Slight correction. Maurice Gibb died in 2003.
@@terrencekelsey3733 And younger brother Andy died in 1988.
It is not right to call Barry Gibb the lead singer and writer. Most Bee Gees songs were co-written by all three brothers. And even though Barry is lead singer on this song they were all lead singers (Even though Barry and/or Robin had lead on most songs)
BeeGees stands for Brothers Gibb. 😀
@@juliecollins1486 Their sister was in the band for a short while (very earlier on) but I don't think they called themselves the Bee Gees then.
The video was film in the ‘70s, 1977 I believe. But it was uploded to UA-cam in 2017.
@ctguitarguy dats da fact, Jack!!....😅..🤪
The hairdo Barry sported was called a Blow Wave... Just about all us guys had one for a while... I had mine up until the mid-90s lol
I Love this song
Go night fever
Its nice to see young ppl like you guys, listening to good music in general. Love ur reactions!!
I Love this song
grew up listening to these guy . i was so lucky to have such great music to skate to on Saturday nights . i loved their youngest brother named Andy Gibb , he died when he was 30 years old but he was so good also . my favorite song of his was Shadow Dancing . another group that i think you would enjoy was ABBA , some of my favorite songs of their's was Dancing Queen , SOS , Knowing Me Knowing You , The Name Of The Game , just name some .
They're brothers. Barry is the oldest, Robin And Maurice are twins. Singing together since little kids in Australia. They are English though. Main career late 60s to early 70s until becoming huge in the disco era 1975 to 1980. They then came back again in the late 80s, early 90s until the deaths of Maurice then Robin. They also written and produced numerous hits for other people.
There's a great UA-cam video of the Bee Gees covering "Please Please Me," by The Beatles, back around the time it came out in 1963. You'll be amazed at how young they were.
OMG the constant pauses!!!
This is from the late 70's !!!!
The BeeGees spanned from the 60s through the 90s. They are all brothers. BeeGees stands for Brothers Gibb. Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, and Robin Gibb. Their younger brother, Andy, also became a star along with them. This song was the theme to Saturday Night Fever starring John Travolta back in the late 70s. Disco was king. The BeeGees changed their music with the times and so remained relevant and uber popular. I was into disco dancing contests and BEEGEES music was always front and center. Thanks guys!
Bee Gees - You Should Be Dancing
I was listening this song and was laughing and enjoying myself 😍😍😍🥰🥰😃😃❤️❤️💯💯💯🖐️🖐️😁😁😁
Yeah, that long hair was really the norm in the seventies, maybe starting in the late sixties. And men did go to salons, and they blow-dried and styled it. In the early eighties, men's hairstyles returned to the short styles that were the norm before the late sixties and that are still the norm today.
Andy Gibb was their younger brother and was solo career from his brothers.
They are brothers
Maurice and Robin were even twins
They're Brothers!! They've been a Group since the Late 60's! This particular song/Video was done in the Late 70's!!
👍Bee Gees ARE THE BEST! And millions of us think so ... blue-eyed soul! They formed their official group in the early 1960's--while teenagers.
Over 700 songs, wrote #1 hits for other artists too --
•Diana Ross- Chain Reaction
•Andy Gibb (their youngest brother)-Shadow Dancin, I just wanna be your everything, Everlasting Love, etc.
•Dionne Warwick- Heartbreaker
•Kenny Rodgers/Dolly Parton-Islands in the Stream
•Barbara Streissand-entire "Guilty" album
All 3 Bee Gees brothers (Barry, Robin, Maurice) composed songs, BUT BARRY is truly the musical genius behind most of them. And sadly he is the only one still living, super guys too-- never let it go to their heads, loved their fans, (Barry) married to the same woman for 50 years.
Fun fact: Barry, only 21 yrs old, wrote the famous "To Love Somebody" during just one afternoon in 1967, intending it to be for the great Otis Redding. Unfortunately, Otis died before he got the chance to sing it.😥
An HBO documentary is coming out Dec.12 on their life story entitled "How can you mend a Broken Heart."
(P.S. please do: "Love you inside out," "You win again," Nights on Broadway," "Fanny be tender."
Btw, their catalog is never-ending in length.)
This song as well as ;Staying Alive , ;More than a Woman; is part of the movie soundtrack 'Saturday Night Fever- (1977) a huge hit movie and the soundtrack one of the all time best sellling albums ,,,,,
Yes,of course. But they were famous long before the SNF soundtrack. The Bee Gees had their first Number One Hit in 1968.I guess, you've heard "Massachussetts" 8)
Don't forget how deep is your love
They also had a brother named AndyGibb he was an awesome singer too he was youngest brother. He sang a few songs with his brothers. He was a solo singer look him up He had a troubled life and passed in 1988 I believe. So sad when you can’t or won’t get help and end your life 😢
I Love this song their pitches perfect pitches 💖😃❤️❤️❤️
Thats the bee gees and the 70`s 💃🏻
haha i love it..."They always start it out right" yup that sums it up.
They are brothers this is from the 70's they have around since the 60's
Barry Gibb sure knows how to pitch his voice and control his voice and his breathing 💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯💯
the hair was called. Blow wave
Black guys taught me how to dance during the Vietnam War for which I’m eternally grateful. Out in 1975 and walked right into the Disco days. I was an Armed White boy on the dance floor and tore it up. Good times.....and we sang love songs to our Women. White, Black, Hispanic music during the 70’s was the best. Life is short....ask a Lady to dance!
Guys that was the late 70's, I was Burning the Disco's down at that time!👍👍👍💖
I Love this song it is my number 3 on my top 5 list
Bee Gees - Grease
This record was dropped in 1978. It's from Saturday night fever. They wrote the whole score for that movie.
My favorite song from the Saturday Night Fever album. Also try "If I Can't Have You" written by them and sung by Yvonne Elliman from that album.
This song was recorded in the 1970's as part of the SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER MOVIE SOUNDTRACK, EVERYBODY HAD LONG HAIR THEN!!!!!!
I am about to be 69 years old and for the most part I am comfortable with that as I have the love of my life with me. Watching you too, however and your youthful energy makes me wish I could be young again. One more time.

THEY ARE BROTHERS!!!!!!!!!
A 4th brother Andy Gibb had 6 top 10 singles, but died at age 30 in 1988 due to a bad heart from years of drug abuse.
Lol. Im 💃 with you guys.😘😍😊
Bee gees - to love somebody (1967)
Watch them really young lol
Or "Spicks And Speks" from 1966,which was a Number One in Australia
Very good!! React For whom the bell tolls live Bee Gees...
I think they formed the band Bee Gees 1958 when they were just, it excisted until Robins dearh in 2012. Theonly one who is still alive is the lead singer here Barry Gibb and he's still making music, he just reliesed an album this week with duets, so he has had a very long career but music is his life, he's one of the greatest song writers with most hits.
Yes
That city in background driving is late 70’s Vegas and this song is from 1977. Only Barry (the one with the nice teeth you comment on) is alive still. Their youngest brother Andy was the first to die back in 1988. He also had a solo career with a hit song called “Shadow Dancing”.
Disco was a great time js y'all
I think that The Bee Gees reinvented themselves twice, first time for Disco and in the 1980s after Living Eyes (1981)tanked.From 1987 onward, they had a much mellower sound.
Just for info, this is from the movie Saturday Night Fever from 1977. They are brothers Barry, Robin and Maurice Gibb. They stopped being a band when Maurice died in 2003. Robin Died in 2012. The only one left and still active is Barry. He made an album "In The Now" in 2016 that reach number 2 on the UK album charts. He also scheduled to have a new album with duets out in 2021. It should have been released this year but has been postponed due to Covid.
The group started all the way back in 1955 when they had their first performance in The Garmount Movie theater in Manchester England. Barry was 9 and Robin and Maurice was 6
Hey ya'll really captured the essence of this disco music and this song. 10 seconds into the song and it was smiles and dance moves all around. Thanks for spreading the happiness and the love!
The Bee Gees as a group no longer exists, because Maurice (Mo) died in 2003 and Robin passed in 2012. So they were together from about 1958-2003. But the children perform - Samantha (Mo's daughter) and Steve (Barry's son).
If you want more Beer Gees then you have to watch the film Saturday night fever. You will also understand about the hair back in the 70s when John Travolta spends ages doing his and tells his mum or dad "don't touch the hair"..
Watch the movie "Saturday Night Fever"
You have to react to the Bee Gees You Should Be Dancing
The Bee Gees started in 1958 or 59 when they were kids...
Brothers. Probably a band since they could talk. 😂
Hey kids! BeeGees were from the 70s, 80s, and possibly early 90s. Back in the disco era!
Actually, Jeff...the Bee Gees never stopped writing and recording music. They had quite a few damn good songs in the 90s. They continued up to the death of twin brothers, Mautice and Robin. Barry continues to tour today.
Yes they were really brothers .I remember when Saturday Night Fever came out at the movies and I was so excited to get the album to the movie .Which were hits from the Bee Gees !!! 💟💜❤💛💚💙💋
The Bee Gees were a group of three brothers Barry the eldest, and Robin and Maurice who were twins. The name Bee Gees is actually the pronunciation of B.G. or Brothers Gibb. They had a younger Brother Andy Gibb, who achieved success as a solo artist. The Bee Gees have been singing since 1958...for the mathematically challenged, that's 60 years of making literally thousands of hits as a group, as songwriters, and as producers. They reached the pinnacle of their success during the disco era of the 70s. They have sold over 200 million records worldwide .
Sadly Barry the eldest is the only living member left. Andy died in the 80's due to his struggle with drugs, Maurice died in 2003 due to complications following a routine surgery, and robin died in 2012 after a long battle with cancer.
The name of the group was not taken from Brothers Gibb.
This particular track was recorded in 1977 and released as a track on the "Saturday Night Fever" (1978) soundtrack. Written by all three Gibb brothers with Barry singing lead. Most songs were written by Barry and Robin, with Maurice co-writing on a lot of the songs, as well. I love that the younger generation is re-discovering the 70s music (80s and 90s are great, as well). ;)
I love the BeeGees. (Brothers Gibb) they are siblings. Barry Gibb is the only one left of the 3. They have been around since the 1970s
They were from the late 60s...they were right at the top for a few years..then they died down for a while and were doing small town auditorium s when the movie Saturday night fever came out... it was a block buster hit
musical and they did most of the sound track and it star
ted the disco era
They were right back at the top again..even bigger than before

A little history: The Bee Gees are trio of brothers with Barry Gibb, the lead singer being the oldest, Maurice and Robin are fraternal twins, Maurice is the one with the beard. They are originally from England but grew up in Australia. They started off as a skiffle/rock and roll band with two other members called "The Rattlesnakes around 1957 in England as children and got their first break in 1960 in Australia and were renamed the Bee Gees sometime later. By the 1970s, they evolved into disco music. They continued to perform over the decades and all three of them also released solo albums and singles during 1980s and 2000s. Their last performance as a trio was in 2002. Sadly Maurice died in 2003, and Robin in 2012. Barry and Robin did briefly perform after his Maurice's death. They also had a younger brother Andy who had a solo career as a singer and he died back in 1988 from drug overdose making Barry the only surviving brother. They also have an older sister Lesley who once filled in for Robin in the late 1960s and briefly sung herself but never pursued a singing career further to raise a family.
Keep grinding you growing 💯
yeahppppppp
Your celebration for very good old school music is awesome 🔥 - This all time classic was for 2 months on the first spot and song of the year 1978 and 12 million certified sales worldwide since 1977
I’m highly recommending a lesser known hit that they had in 1997 called “Alone.” It was in the Billboard Top 40.
The Bee Gees had an equally talented younger brother named Andy Gibb. You should check out his songs too they were great.....Shadow Dancing and I just want to be your everything
The song was released in 1977 and was used in the movie, Saturday Night Fever.
The band was together til the twins robin and Maurice passed away. Barry is the only one left. He still performs, with Robin and Maurice's children taking their father's places
Seriously Saturday Night Fever is on Netflix... check it out. Crazy that without the beard he looks sooo much like Andy
You guys should watch Saturday Night Fever
Maurice Gibb from the Bee Gees said they could write any type of music 🎵🎵🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶🎵🎵🎵🎵🎶 and I believe him he was talking the Truth because when he said that the other 2 didn't say that's not true so he was talking the Truth

60s to the late 90s/early 2000s.
I like your reation video, kids.I discovered The Bee Gees at your age and I'm still listening to them,They were pretty long around. From 1958 to 2003."Night Fever" was released in 1977,but they had their first Number One hit in 1968 with the song "Massachussetts".By the way "Night Fever" was a Number One hit on "Billboard" for 8 weeks :-)

Born in Australia, moved to England as kids - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bee_Gees
I was teenager in the 70's when they were rocking it 8)
They were born in England, moved to Australia, then back to the England.
The brothers started performing together in 1958 & have sold over 120 million records worldwide (with estimates as high as over 220 million), making them among the best-selling music artists of all time. In March 1978, five songs written by the Gibbs were in the US top 10 at the same time, including "Night Fever". They were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997...
Barry, Maurice & Robin actually performed together as The Rattlesnakes from 1955-1958. In 58, the family moved to Australia, where they were renamed BGs (which evolved into Bee Gees).
There all brothers
3 brothers the two other back up singer so to say are twins ..They started in australia in the 60s and performed as little kids
Just to add a little info; Barry, Maurice & Robin started performing together in Manchester, England in 1955. From 55-58 they were The Rattlesnakes. In 58, the family moved to Australia, where they were renamed BGs (which evolved into Bee Gees).
@@wnsafford1854 actually, they became Wee Johnny Hayes and the Blue Cats after The Rattlesnakes...then BGs. Then ultimately Bee Gees.
@@MediaNexus24 Yes, but it was literally for just a few weeks in 1958, so I didn't bother to mention it. I was mainly trying to let the other person know they started in 55 in England, not in the 60s in Australia.
This was filmed in about 1976
when he says "....i got hair in my mouth..." well, figure that out..LOL
Please react to " Love You Inside Out " by Bee Gees! Thanks for the reaction!
The brothers had a band called the Rattlesnakes with two other guys but when they left the group, the Gibbs formed a new one called Wee Johnny Hayes and the Blue Cats, with Barry as Johnny Hayes. When they were 11-14 year olds, they used to entertain the audience on a speedway track durings intervals for pocket money. A speedway promoter and driver Bill Goode introduced the Gibbs to a radio DJ Bill Gates who renamed the Blue Cats as BGs because Bill Gates, Bill Goode and Barry Gibb all had the same initials. Later BGs turned into form Bee Gees but originally it wasn't short for Brothers Gibb, despite the popular belief.
It's so nice to see someone with the facts on how the BG's/Bee Gee's got their name. Also, mother Barbara Gibb was another BG in the mix (when Gates noticed all the common initials).
Cheers and thanks for the additional info 😊
They started playing in Pubs here in Australia when they were very young. There is a doco on UA-cam, research for it. It is fascinating to watch.

They are brothers, sadly Barry the oldest is still alive, the twins Robin and Maurice died some years ago. You should react to You should be dancing from their disco era and to a song they wrote for Celine Dion called Immortality.
I think it's funny how people think the name Bee Gees stood for Brothers Gibb. That is not true at all, although many people say it all the time. Even Barry stated in an interview decades ago that it did not stand for that, people still kept saying it. They started out as The Rattlesnakes, then after 2 band members left, the changed their name to Wee Johnny Hayes and the Blue Cats. Local Australian DJ Bill Gates (not that one) renamed the brothers' group to the BG's (later changed to 'Bee Gees') after his, speedway promoter Bill Goode and Barry Gibb's initials. Thus, the name was not specifically a reference to 'Brothers Gibb', despite popular belief.
Brothers gibb is what bee gees stand for. They have been singing together since early 1960's in australia. This song is from the 70's. Barry is the only one still alive
Bee Gees doesn't stand for Brothers Gibb, and they started in the late 50s.
Gates recorded several of the brothers’ songs and would play them on his radio program. At Gates’ suggestion, they called themselves the B.G.’s, noting the common initials among Bill Goode, Barry Gibb, and Bill Gates-not to mention Barbara Gibb. Of course, this would eventually get stylized as the Bee Gees, ultimately standing for The Brothers Gibb.
