- Pope Benedict XVI, who died on New Year's Eve 2022, led the Church in a clear and unmistakable direction. In his own words, he explained that his task was "to make the light of Christ shine before men and women of the world," not his own light "but that of Christ."
In this 2008 documentary broadcast on EWTN to coincide with his visit to the United States that year, German philosopher Raphaela Schmid and Rome correspondent for the National Catholic Register Edward Pentin produced this overview of Benedict's life and the principal teaching themes of his Pontificate. The documentary reveals his unique approach for guiding the people of God in truth and love and includes interviews with key Church leaders and Vatican experts.
A simple scholarly shy soft spoken guy with a towering intellect who became a good Pope. Hope he will be elevated to Doctor of the Church soon.
I missed him so much. Still saddens me that he's not with us anymore. My prayers for Pope Benedict's eternal peace 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Dearly miss you very humble man of God the world didn't know about him so much because of his simplicity and humbleness. But many will come to know the great a man a man of God he was in his simplicity

This clip on pope bendict is perfect. The questions about him is there .this social media is a great sources to get the insight. I would say his approach is what is said ?" To straight out" anx to lead to a clearer insight of Jesus. I think he has brought a clearer understanding of Jesus than the 70's. The understanding of the good news has brought a possibility to move with Jesus.

God gave us Benedict to show us that we must defend the doctrine, liturgy, and traditions of Holy Scripture in our modern world and defend the church from moral relativism. Wisdom, Reason, Faith are all Graces of God and we don't define it; it is instructed in🎉 Holy Scripture, so therefore we defend the Truth. Too much secularism, humanism, and liberal interpretation of watered down scripture is destroying our liturgical traditions at the expense of compromising our attitudes about what is acceptable morality. Pray for our church, our priests, laity, and for social justice obeying God's laws.

Archbishop Ganswein was a devoted, spiritual son to this holy, angelic servant of God and it is a tremendous loss for him as well as those of us who appreciate the true Catholic faith and his guidance of faithful Catholics.
