Apple's Fall Updates Already Seems Like A LOT

- Alright, it's that time of year where we're waiting for an iPhone event announcement any time now. Seriously. Thing is, the fall has always been Apple's most prolific season, with multiple events happening historically. That said, only the iPhone has been constant. Every other time it's been about either iPads or the Mac. This year it seems it'll be about more than just hardware, though. We do have rumors on AirPods, along with some color options for the iPhone, but we also hear that a ton of much-needed updates are coming to iOS 18.1, which will take some time after the iPhone's launch.

Every year we get all these leaks and then we get the same exact phone with the smallest updates and Apple has to try so hard to prove to us that it’s a brand new phone rather then the same old horse they have been dragging for the last 5 years.
I miss stainless steel tbh. The titanium feels cheap (and it's kinda rich calling it a "titanium" iPhone once you see JerryRigEverything melt it down and find the tiniest bit of actual titanium in there)

I use Google wallet and my partner uses Apple pay. I don't see how either one is superior
I agree I used Google Pay when I had a Pixel and with my 14pro Apple Pay is basically the same. But anything with that Apple logo seems “better”
It's more a matter of availability, more places globally accept Apple
I think the main differences would come from what they are compatible with (especially outside NA). My bank (in France) for example doesn't allow me to link my card with Google Wallet even though they accept Apple Pay and Samsung Pay. I did use it for other things though.
I have since switched to iphone to give Apple a try and I don't think there is much difference so far in terms of functionality and user experience.

I've upgraded to 14PM from 6s after 4-5 yrs of use and still that old phone works well though and I am not saying anyone must wait that long though but the point is don't buy anything if you don't have to for the sake of validation or falling into peer pressure or fomo !!!

Nothing. But it allows the user to show off the apple logo and that's what's important to apple users 😂

It's insane the amount of people that get bent out of shape over this. They'd probably have a heart attack when they go to some Asian countries where it's been a norm for decades to wear them when sick. Actually they're probably the type that have never left their own country so I guess not.

Nah...these days apple wants to us buy whatever they give you but not what we actually want as they've grown big enough to ditch the needs of their loyal customer base as anything with apple logo would sell regardless but this when you must start to realize no one is too big to fall they've gone apathetic and complacent towards their customers !!!!

Just did the opposite after 13 years on iPhone. Wow, apple is barely a smartphone anymore, when compared to android/Samsung. Also, u get so much more for less money. I really wish apple would at least try n innovate but unfortunately they stopped.

Regardless, do you seriously care so much if someone opts to wear a sanitary mask when they're sick?
There are countries where it's the norm to use masks when sick for decades, because it does help reduce spread of viruses etc and it has been proven more than enough throughout the years to not dismiss it out of ignorance.
It's about time you get over it and accept some people will mask up from time to time. There are valid reasons and it's their right to do so.

so in short, nothing new with the iphone. No aptx, no Ldac so 10 year old Bluetooth technology, no apple pen compatibility, and if the USB is the same as it is on the iPad pro, it will not even be able to output 24/192 on USB out of apple music, not to mention EQ in Apple Music app. They did not really improve anything, and they are so incompetent that even their own apps are better on android then on iOS

After eSIM only in USA, I tried Android Phones and if Apple doesn't give us a choice of physical SIM, bye, bye. APPLE. They should give us a choice to buy their phones, not buying phones with features we don't want or use.

I use my coffee filters for what they’re meant for.. and I also use b-roll from 2020 when I need to because I don’t have the time to film things twice to cater to your virtue points 🤷🏻♂️

Hate to say it, i miss apple lightning port. Pain in the xxxx to charge my ipad pro with regular Type C cables. Gotta be at the lower voltage and gentle insertion otherwise battery protection kicks in and won't charge at all! What's the point of Type C if i have to overpay for apple charger and cables!
