The best pair of ex JWs on you tube to talk to for a proper insight into the “religion”. Truly doing God’s work. Thank you for doing this interview! That’s a great idea for more collaboration because they are not bitter and have mentally and emotionally moved on while still being invaluable to the ex JW community

You must be born again by accepting the true JESUS of the Holy Bible:
The Mormons and the JW's deny the deity of our Lord and Savior JESUS CHRIST - this is deadly: if you believe that our LORD s only a created being you can NOT be saved!!! JESUS CHRIST is GOD, see John 1! HE always existed with the FATHER and the HOLY SPIRIT = the GODHEAD or Trinity.
Thank JESUS for paying for your sins on the cross and HIS resurrection on the 3rd day!!! It must come from the bottom of your heart. Listen to great evangelists lke Dr. John Ankerberg and Dr. David Reagan and their guests.

As an ex-Mormon I am all for supporting fellow former members of cults, doesn't matter to me to which one they used to belong. The infighting doesn't help any of us, it only benefits our former cults.

What a charming couple! I love the dynamics between them (clearly a loving and mature marriage!). They are funny and interesting. What a blessing that their marriage survived all the craziness that happened. What a treat to start the Saturday morning with listening to more from them, while doing some overdue housework.

@@positiveendtimes did they happen to mention that unbaptised members in the congregation cannot get disfellowshiped, and before a person is baptised they go through over 100 to 200 questions on every aspect and teaching of the oganisation, and if a person is not ready to get bapised they can have thier baptism applications revoked, so any who gets baptised know what the organisation accepts and doesnt accept based on the bible.

    • @positiveendtimes
      @positiveendtimes 3 роки тому +7

Adrian Thomas that’s true, they do go over all those questions in the organized to accomplish your ministry book. While no where in the Bible does it say anything about adding addition questions other than the 2 in the Bible. However the couple interviewed is speaking about Jehovah’s witnesses. And the Christian cong of JW’s cooperation only calls baptized members witnesses. For example look I to all the court cases where the call elders that molested children ‘imposters & fake Jehovah’s witnesses. But the reality is you and I know 6-10 year olds that have been baptized, Tony Morris has said there’s something wrong if a child has a license but isn’t baptized...encouraging parents to hold back that driving privilege. If I knew all the the org is hiding and being dishonest about. I wouldn’t have gotten baptized into the org I would have found a non denominational group & then choose which to associate with. My JW friends are a captive audience. Going along with things whether right or wrong..they have no choice.

Yes, 20 years later. All religions are the same with the same end goal: control. All of my girlfriends growing up in Islam had so many of the same restrictions I did as a JW. Religion is a man-made invention, it really doesn't benefit women in any way. You can find a way to be spiritual without being religious or dogmatic. In my experience, religious people are some of the worst people you can have the misfortune of meeting. You can form a relationship with God and still pray with a religious conduit. Glad you have all broken free.

I realize that this was just a flippant statement. But let’s be clear, there are poor parts in the Continent of Africa just as any other continent. But the whole of Africa is NOT poor and desolate. Words are important, and this false notion that “Africa” is some poor third world place where everyone is struggling does not need to be reinforced.

Another great interview! JT & Lady Cee are breaking it down again! 🎯 I do want to add to this discussion about racism in Watchtower - bear with me. The founder Charles Taze Russell was a typical white man in the 19th century. He started publishing his teachings around 1879. So we don’t need to guess how he felt about black people and other minorities. JT touched on this. They’ve dismissed those teachings as “old light” 🙄 - but I do want to say growing up (I’m a 70s baby - Gen X-er) I NEVER saw a black circuit or district overseer (JT talked about that hierarchy in the previous episode) I was in my 20s when my circuit had their first black CO and the district had its first black DO. I am from Michigan - my circuit included one or two “urban” areas and was primarily “rural” so the leadership at Bethel headquarters sent white brothers because they knew damn well these Michiganders were NOT going to listen to a black man. It was also a HUGE deal when Heard became a member of the governing body (yep, he’s definitely a token). Huge deal. “We have a black governing body member! Yay!!!” This was the talk among African American members on the low. Two other observations. Congregations were mainly arranged by location and you were assigned based on the nearest congregation in your area (usually). When I was married I lived on the border of Detroit/Grosse Pointe. I attended a Kingdom Hall that had two auditoriums (sanctuaries) in the same building. (They call these “double build” Kingdom Halls 🤣) You walked in the building and literally, identical auditoriums to your left and right. Some congregations met at the same time. There was a Grosse Point Cong that was primarily all white and the Detroit Congs were primarily black. So how do you think it looked during meetings (church services) when there were all whites on one side and all blacks on another? For optics they mixed a few up by moving some black families to the Grosse pointe congregation and white families to the Detroit congs (a few white families declined the suggestion because like JT said, the black brothers did what they were told in many cases & the white ones would challenge). Also, and this aligns with how jobs at Bethel were distributed (JT spoke on this too), at every convention and assembly my very black congregation was ALWAYS assigned to CLEANING the facility and bathrooms. For years. Yet, I always saw white members involved with accounting and in the press room (at the big conventions). Those were what I considered the cool assignments. But I would be quiet and humbly take my assignment. JT & Lady Cee are so accurate when they say racism was not discussed and the JWs sat on the sidelines and rolled with the tides. Whichever way the wind was blowing. However the systemic racism is definitely there and it’s been imbedded from day one. Sorry for my novel. This was an excellent interview. I’m now subscribed to your channel. Major shout out to Lady Cee & JT! They rock!

100% when a spouse or religion makes you believe you are stuck and cannot leave them because “who will want you”, “where will you go”, “no one will love you like I do”…that is manipulative abuse! I agree with not being a JW poster child, that made me laugh. JW’s expect people to come crawling back once they’ve seen how cruel the world is. It’s shocking to them to see people move on with their lives and be happy. I married a non believer almost 17 years ago, we have 3 beautiful daughters and I feel the happiest I have ever felt in my whole life.

Tremendous relief when learning the truth about the truth. Difficulties that this is your primary group of friends since everyone else is worldly. I am not outgoing by nature- I tend to avoid people even though I pioneered, especially auxiliary, which requires going to strangers. Very surprising that I could do that fairly easily. Also we lived in a bubble. We are in Jehovah's care. I cleaned and have very little income and can never retired. Tend to look at archeological evidence and what is behind the bible. Not mentioned thus far is Kim and Mikey which breaks through that barrier. Just heard them mentioned.

I as well was born into JW religion. I was not baptized, but approved associate. Anyway I went to Elders with questions I knew they didn't have. I didn't listen to any other preachers or anything else religious but watchtower publications.
I happened to run across Crisis of conscience as well and listened to Raymond Franz.
I am a Christian and I love studying the Bible. I recommend Chuck Missler. I have learned more from him about the word of God than anyone else.
I'm really trying to understand the Mormon doctrine because my son was baptized in LDS church about 6 months ago.
    Thank you for sharing
BTW it is extremely hard to question the Elders,as I really didn't want what I found out to be true.
It's also hard to loose family and friends you love. But it is a crisis of conscience once you learn the real truth.

There are meet up groups but most are too far to attend. I live in relative isolation. But the idea of a support group is great. Right now therapy is you tube.

John this part 2 episode with JT and Lady Cee was another hit out of the ball park. Great job. And yes the idea of collaborating with others hosting videos that have left high control religious groups I believe would have greater impact in helping ex members and exiting members. One woeful problem is that there are very few clinical psychologist that actually understand the far reaching psychological and emotional human train wrecks created. I so wish there was a way of dispensing a higher awareness in the psychologist world that the cult mind pretzel is very complex and so helping them understand more of the insidious cultural dogma is not exactly quiet the same as so many other human issues that have more of a template. Here in Texas where I now reside, there are many psychologist that offer therapeutic counseling with a Bible based background. Good God. Run away. My biased opinion.

I had to teach to my psychologist about jw's and more abuse from them.
Now, she knows and retired, went back to the other side of the country. I don't feel like training another one. We need help. . . I saw many psy before I found a good person for me.

When I first listened to apostates on you tube- within five or six videos I just felt genuine love for apostates. A feeling that does not usually happen. Knew someone who grew up around Ray Franz relatives. They felt he needed to be disfellowship a lot earlier than when he was- 1980.

@@sophiefleurisca7298 I think it surrounded the heavenly hope. From his book, I gathered he felt some discrepancies from the talks he gave or people who asked him questions on a subject, the need to give an answer that did not quite line up. At the time I was waking up. The person Who had this “information” was in a somewhat vulnerable state. Wish I had gleamed more information.

Back in the late 80's to early 90's I wanted to be a JW. Going to my 3x meeting including Assembly Hall. Then I had felt something was missing so eventually I had left. Watching this video now I know why. They don't believe in Trinty, 144,000 how they come up with that number. And 1914 generation. Thank you J.t and lady c. "Success is the best revenge." After I left the Jehovah Witnesses religion, I didn't look back. I was told my life would end and I would die in Armageddon with the other wicked worldly people. However, I finished my higher education, got a job and took care of myself for decades. God never let go of my hand because I never stop believing His existence. Thank you, JT & Lady Cee for the work you do to help people wake up.

Yes! My father came over and talked to me and my husband. I’m disfellowshipped my husband was raised a witness but never got baptized so my dad talks to him as much as possible. So I chimed in on the conversation and told my dad I so happy. I have never felt this kind of clarity or peace. And he looks at me and he said how is it possible that you are happy without Jehovah? Because I am not without Jehovah I’m without the organization. The organization is NOT Jehovah. Did you know there are actually a lot of people outside of the religion that are actually thriving? They actually have high morals outside the religion? Did you know that people are not withering away dying without hope or a relationship with God? … I remember when I first had this realization my eyes started slowly open and I would still go to meetings after being DF and suddenly everything started sounding ridiculous. Hearing all this from this lovely couple. This ain’t new info to me but at one time it was perfectly normal and made complete sense to me. Now it’s just laughable. I am so glad I have found a community of people online that I can talk to

@eileen21 Yes. The organization nor Watchtower is not Jehovah. The governing body is only a group of men. God has given all of us the way of communication to Him through prayer. Jehovah is a kind, loving God. It is prayer that I am able to succeed in life. Likewise, I'm so glad there is a community of exjws for encouragement to enjoy the best life Jehovah has given us.

I'm sorry I hadn't left alot earlier. I left in 2021. I was an abused child I was looking for love and understanding. The witnesses protect the guilty and shun the victim. I once did anything to be doing the "right thing". The amount of favoritism I saw in every congregation made it obvious that after 35 years I had enough. I'm happier than ever.

I and my brother and friends, all JWs, graduated high school in the 60's. Definitely our lives were impacted very negatively by the Organization's disapproval of any higher education. At the same time many of the elders and their older children were highly educated. We knew to not question this paradox.

I remember my grandfather came home from a meeting with the Curcuit Overseer (CO) and asked me to write down the names of the Gov Body. I wrote one name and asked him why he asked me to do that. He said, I was more focused on "worldly stuff" than the "things of God."" Now, I'm learning many Witnesses didn't know who the Gov Body was!!

JW definitely has a history of racism, when I became one of JW IN 1975 we wasn't integrated in my location. Later on I moved far away from the Kingdom Hall, Meaning that we had to go to a Basically mostly white Kingdom Hall, Definitely treated different, at the Black Kingdom Hall we called each other Brother & Sister. Going to the white KH they wanted me to called them by there name. This was if we saw each other out people wouldn't see that we where consider as sister & brother. Also all the head the Head men over the Body was White men. Finally in 1999 that selected one Black who is definitely a get along guy. A yes sir master. We as a black are just there run man the one who go out and knock on doors. We are consider faithful slaves because of our subservient. I always wanted my children to go to College, which was against there father wish. I made sure they when to college because I wanted better for my children. I really couldn't conform. Most was inferior to the master. Couldn't do it. I didn't see the better job with the racist, they would try to send you to the worst door to door area where you walk . Where they drove like overseer. I can write a Book on the racism. The most horrific part about the percentage is we're still don't have leadership position.

Probably the best pod cast of the bunch I have heard. I really learned alot about the JW's and I wanted to hear about their thinking and the world they are stuck in. While most of the experiences I had with Mormon's were good, with JW's most of them were bad. I honestly hated them. They hurt me badly when I was younger. After listening to JT I learned alot of nuggets of wisdom from this man and his wife! I also liked alot of the examples he provided about tracking hours and recognizing that much of who JWs are is just a horrible conditioning that espouses bitterness and performance issues. They are who they are because they are shaped by the hate of the world and the bitterness from within. I forgive these people now. I had an interesting few episodes with a few of them while I did missions work in Japan. There was a JW church a block from the United Pentecostal church in Okinawa I worked at and they would always smile and had none of the bite the American group had. I actually liked these JWs. I can understand the appeal JW has there as Japanese people are often very performance based. I also learned alot about the constant provided a man who stated you can successfully have stable relationships with an average of 150 people in your life time. It makes sense we divide and reproduce like Jesus said 30,60, even up to 100. We're meant to do our part and sometimes we overdo it. I appreciate you all.

I have spoken up about children getting baptize- which I have never really agreed with as well as the amount of child abuse (without getting too lengthy). Children go through so much growing up and in their teens. I have thought about Universal Unitarian church. We are tribal people by nature. Their policies are in keeping with mine. But just a need to extend into the community. Again it is a distance to travel. I do belong to a progressive political group- but again a distance, finances, and time.
