As a side note I look forward to the builder's update cause I hope it will give the building blocks we see in the various ruined structures. Walls. Floors. Roofs. Windows. Desks. and maybe even various decorative pieces. I also hope that they expand upon the production facilities so that you see their upgrades, like each tier actually makes the structure look different. That would be cool too. I also hope that the production stations do something, cause right now you upgrade for tech but then there is no use for them - or at least it seems that way.
Yea, I think it would be pretty cool for the production terminals to show some more life over time as you upgrade. I've never asked them that question, definitely something I'll try to remember to do on the next developer stream. I too and definitely looking forward to the base building update. While I have been pretty amazed at what I could do with power floors and stairs, it will be nice to get some new pieces to play with :)
Fire Hose should give all groundbreakers who actually do unlock the destroyed poi with the broken ceiling a goody. Maybe giving everything back with a notice "just kidding" and an achievement called "Walking the extra mile"
@Relyen Gaming what happened to the big rock at 26:30 to the left? At minute 26:57 it is gone, and in my playthrough, it says the rock is protected :D After I wrote this, I used the MOLE, and with it you can destroy the boulder... funny that mining charges dont work on it, and it says protected XD
Finally got a mk2 drill and some Atlantum Ore. Awaiting your progress and expect some design tips, as my approach is very ad hock. Set something up and tweak if and when. Most often when! Having seen the elegance of your planter design, I am rethinking. I love the clean machine, belt set up. Still like to look at the flow of stems and seeds.
Hey ellabee! Glad you are enjoying it so far! The MK2 drill is a beast! Besides being fast, really cuts down on fuel logistics! I've been working on a side video the last few days, had to start a side playthrough to get all the footage. So, I'll have more playthrough gameplay and tips soon :)
How do you only have 5k subs, you deserve so much more! +1 sub-follower-enjoyer! Amazing content with superb explanations. Realy enjoying the lets play so far and cant wait for the next episodes.
Cool episode! Really fun stuff. I am soo glad that you keep the aesthetics of the cavern. The idea of having sideways complexes while the cavern interior keeps its natural look is what I want, to the point its hard to watch people who pave over a cavern. So yeah, thumbs up. Also now that the gave is out in early access I look forward to you looking further into the story stuff and such. So I'm honestly not a fan of the Core Composer and the massive towers of it. I mean the tech level of humanity is black hole guns and super-fast construction stuff and instead of putting information in a server its a single core per unit, like WTF. Also it takes space and isn't pretty.
Yea, the core composer does end up taking a lot of space. I plan to move the ones I've placed so far, once I can dig out a space for them. I have an idea in my head for the long haul, not sure how it will play out. But we'll see :)
Yea, I agree, I was thinking about this the other day. Like, if it had an interface where you could select some predefined shapes, and maybe some editor for your custom stuff. That'd be pretty sweet seeing as how many we have to make of these things. (and that's with only 2 core colors)
This core composer is making me nuts. It eats so much energy it takes so much space. It has a wired and uncontrollable shape not really caring about height since all are the same height and cost so many materials. And I can barly see the benefit besides overcoming a kind of lazyness of placing them yourself. Why use them? And what are "research core cluster" I saw mentioned a couple times and I think even saw a mentioning of a "research bonus". I want to know before I start placing research cores manually tomorrow.
The core composer is an interesting one. I felt somewhat similar when I first saw it. But there are reasons for it, they just aren't very evident in the early game. There is ways to get bonuses for unassigned cores later on. And as for placing them manually, there are quite a "few" cores you are going to need to place. So, eventually you'll appreciate the automation.
@@relyengaming What are "unassigned" cores? Those placed by a composer/in a composer or those placed manually outside? Or does this mean "used"/"unused" in regards to the tech tree.
When you start to unlock some of the better inserts and belts you are going to be pulling a lot of that down and building it back up. Don't ask how I know. The hours wasted because i didn't plan for expansion and upgrading.
Yea, I'd have to hunt down the clip. I was basically doing the same thing...and his response had me laughing so hard. Very "politely" telling me to cut it out :)
Hah, was I doing that? It's possible I was fidgeting and that movement transferred to my hand. I noticed it once, but I edit my footage so much, I might of missed it.
@@relyengaming It only was sometimes, and I can imagine the satisfactory head bobbing in third person you do. I love it, and only an observant fan would notice.

Ah yes, you can just jump in the water and use the MOLE on it. Works great :)

34:58 I think you should and the center core but one layer behind so that the core circles look smaller as you reach the center
Yea I think that would look pretty cool. I think we could also create some tunnel out of the cores. That might be fun
