I have a question? I hear all the time on a bunch of channels, port, muffler mod, esc. They can run stock, I have all stock saw's and don't have a problem with it, they all work great!
Ported saws really release the hidden potential that pro-grade factory saws have, but the EPA forces the manufacturers to choke them down to meet EPA requirements. Nonetheless stock saws run fine and do what they need to do. Ported saws like a Stihl 462, Husqvarna 390XP are absolutely amazing when you get your hands on one. Once you get your hands on a ported saw you think to yourself "how the hell did I not have a ported saw earlier". Fun times.
Nice first cuts. I wanted a 562, but chose 550 mk2 after watching multiple 562 MKI issue videos. Didn't want to risk having bad luck. 550 does everything I need and been great so far. Want to add a second saw. So far the 572/400/462/500 are on the list. 572 wins on value, 400 is lightweight option, 462 seems like all I would ever need, and who doesn't want a 500. I only live once so wallet is open. Don't mind saving money or over spending once. What's your take since you own em all?
This is the markii so hope its not plagued with the same issues as the regular 562 depends on what your doing really and if you plan on modding it or leaving it stock while i do love the stihls to me they do have grunt which i run filters/vstacks and modded mufflers even before i got them ported the huskys get better fuel milage and are smoother and if the chains right i think the 572 will out cut stock 400/462 the 500 is powerful but hard on gas but is a good firewood bucking saw but i suppose if i had a 550 and was gonna choose only one more saw i would buy a 572 u can shop around find them 1000-1100 bucks hl supply had a sell on them for 880 pho but its over now and with the money u will save u can get it ported and it will out cut a 500 and hang with 592 i have vids showing this if u get it ported by someone who is reputable i would suggest Aaron A lynch at the moment cajun is not takin work ive ordered a 572 from buxton saw works as well but have not ran it but his saws seem to run good and u can go to his website and buy it for 1400 bucks and some change and he told me its about 5-6 week turn around even if i didnt port it or what ever i think the 572 would be the saw id get just due to smoothness and fuel milage and i like the revs the huskys have i mainly only bought the stihl saws due to the channel and ran them as much because of the channel while ported they are awesome and ther fast at cookie cuttin ive always been a husky guy and when ur actually workin speed isnt always everything
@@MitchellsBackyardLogging - thank you for the detailed reply. I tried to get the 572 deal and it was out of stock. As of now the 572 is top of the list. Also looked at the 592, but tough pill to swallow ($$). Just need to save and hope for another deal to pop up. While I enjoy watching ported saws, I am keeping mine stock until warranty ends. By then, I will definitely want to add a new saw vs get more performance. Appreciate your opinion and makes 100% sense. I am being patient, but will breakdown eventually. Only a matter of time and funds availability.
@@ftlaud911 they have the xpg in stock in 572 or they did there 592s at hl supply are a little over 1000 and they normally run 1350 -1500 but i know its alot of money no problem on reply try and help all i can
It sounds so good. It will be interesting to see if non stuffer and stronger crank bearings will make the 562 a winner as well as a more reliable one than what the mark I was. I myself will have a 562 XPG mk2 with 3/4 heating handle when it arrives in the shop where I live.

572, 28” bar, skip chain. Spend the money you’d spend on a 500 and get the 572 ported.
