My province is reopening slowly, with the first stage starting yesterday. My boys have lots of fun regardless of lockdowns though. Alas, CDs aren’t very economical for me to produce, so I have no plans to release (or re-release) music in physical form.😥

That’s a tough song because of the wide range, so I don’t really have plans to record a full version. So many other great versions out there that are better than mine would be!

Do you ever record voice or vocal beat tracks that don't make the final cut? Not for qualitys sake, but you just have too many tracks.
No. Most of my videos are quite planned out. The rare few that were spontaneous arrangements also didn’t have anything recorded that ended up on the cutting room floor.
Do you think you could do justice to the hymn "thy strong word" im always looking for good versions of that hymn.
I actually haven’t done many hymns at all - I’m not sure I’m familiar with that one. Alas, my to-do list is already miles long. :)

Love it! Wonderful gift and wonderful know-how. What advice would you give other singers about buying microphones for singing and buying equipment for laying tracks like you do on a budget from home? I've always wanted to do something like this.
I bought a $130 mic in 2010 and haven’t looked back! There are beginner versions of Avid Pro Tools and other programs to learn multitracking. I suggest learning about the audio side before complicating with video.

David, love your music, and you have such control over your voice(s), always a pleasure to listen to your next release. I check your channel for new music every couple of weeks, and to my surprise this cover of Indescribable fits perfectly with a CD that I found in my car and have been listening to recently, Arriving, released by Chris Tomlin in 2004, with this song specifically resounding in my heart. And since it was my birthday 2 days prior, I actually considered it my personal online gift from an amazing vocalist. Means more to me than "happy birthday" ever could, to be honest, because I love to worship so much.
However, seeing the copyright information in the description above left me wondering something, and I have a question for you, if I may. As a cover artist, how and where do you find the (required?) license to do your a cappella versions of the various songs you have done throughout the years? I myself aspire to eventually do some vocal recording, but was always unsure of the specifics surrounding licensing on an online platform such as UA-cam. I did a quick search on your channel and didn't really find anything pertaining to that question, but perhaps I missed it. Either way, is there any advice you can offer?
UA-cam is kind of its own ecosystem for copyright. Basically, most licensing administrators won’t do sync licensing for UA-cam, which is technically what is required for a music video, in addition to a mechanical license for the audio cover. They use the ContentID system to identify compositions/recordings they own and deal with them according to their own policies. It can be hit/miss depending on the publisher. There are plenty of videos and articles out there about cover licensing that could explain more thoroughly than I can in a comment. :)
