Since watching this video, and thanks to all of you awesome people telling me where I can watch it, I am now 9 episodes deep and absolutely understand why it is so loved.

Sadly the creator of Berserk passed away from a heart condition recently in May which unfortunately means the story of Berserk is left unfinished. I highly recommend watching the 90s anime and the movie trilogy but the manga is the best way to experience it. Also, fun fact, if it weren't for Berserk, we would not have the Dark Souls video games, Bloodborne, the Netflix Castlevania series, Attack On Titan, Final Fantasy, Bleach, Blue Exorcist, and many other iconic media franchises.
It's nice to see that Alex was a fan of Kentaro Miura's work and this was a wonderful send off for a man whose art and writing belongs up there with the likes of Tolkien, Lovecraft, King, and many more.
If you want to watch Berserk you have a couple of different options. The original 1997 series of which all this footage was taken from is here on youtube in its entirety. If you want a bit more of a modern take on the animation style there were 3 feature length films made that encapsulate the same story as the 1997 anime. Starting with The Egg of the King then the Battle for Doldrey and finally Descent. People generally don't like the films for their animation style but honestly its not that bad. Just stay away from the newest iteration of the episodic anime released in like 2016/17 or something like that. Hope this helps!

Yeah. Everything but the newest season is amazing. That series is cg and ruins one of the best parts of the manga which is the art.

Berserk is one of the best anime/manga out there imo. Miyazaki said it was a huge influence on the Souls series and the Brand of Sacrifice certainly looks like the Hunter’s Mark from Bloodborne. RIP Miura-San

They own Metal right now - along with Meshuggah (for me). I can't think of anything that energizes me like they do - aside from PANTERA and Meshuggah. This was the song that made me go down the Slaughter To Prevail rabbit hole. That was a pivotal moment! \m/\m/
