Thanks i was complete lost when the p110 stop working (new account) but now it's working again.
Any recommendation for a power off monitor plug?
Does this device works with smart electronic devices or with all? Means I can control my lights as well with this device though it's not smart lights..
For Australians, the P110 is slightly different (not just the different electrical plug). The Australian version looks taller and the on/off button is located on top, not the side.
Bought one yesterday and it arrived today, so had a bit of a play around with it.
Did it fire easily enough or did it have you running around in circles?
it only appears to work on the 2.4 band
I've used a load of these for over a year. 30% of the sockets I've bought have failed during that time.
Same here
2 year manufacturers guarantee
Same here, even with very light loads, like a single LED lamp, the plugs fails. The relays end up stuck closed. Very poor, wont buy another tapo again - tried to claim warrantee, and was very difficult.
Software looks suspiciously the same as the crappy Belkin WEMO which is the worst device out there. Is it the same? Also will it only connect to 2.4 internet?
Where in the Tapo app is the energy monitoring ? It would be useful to show how this is done, but obviously you didn’t find this option either
it literally shows the power above the show more button...
Make sure u have the P110 and not the P100 cuz the 100version doesnt have energy monitoring
@@jelleluiken Thanks for that, you just saved me a lot of money/time because I am about to buy a number of these for myself and my family and we all want the energy monitoring function which I thought came on the P100.
@@KristanSmout I can’t find the show more button…sorry…could you please explain more about this. I do have P110. Thanks.
@@Matteos76 on the plug in question drag up the bottom bar and it is in the centre of the second row
Does this really work ? because i need a smart plug to help me turn off and on my device daily
Is there a feature for draw monitoring control? So if car is charging adn kettle is turned on then turn off car charger and when kettle stops drawing power, turn car back on?
It's not currently possible, but Tapo people say that Tapo P110 will release a firmware update that will allow it to issue commands when the power exceeds a certain level.
Can this product be accessible when you are away from home?
yes if you have a live internet access at home the p110 can be accessed when you are away from home. If your phone has access to the internet/wifi the tapo app can control any of your devices so long as they also have access to the internet.
You would’ve thought that the app would have a tab to show energy monitoring
Can i connect this plug to jio air fiber wifi that support 2.4/5ghz in a single ssid
Of course, Tapo can identify the 2.4G/5G hybrid network and accurately connect to the 2.4G part. There has never been a problem.
Does it have a loop option. Like ON for 10 minutes, then OFF for 5 minutes and loop this cycle until we stop.
I've done everything its says and only get as pairing and message says unable to pair. Please help me 😢
did you manage to solve the issue?
if i switch off my internet at night, schedule function still can use or not ? let say i set in schedule to switch on my water filter at 5am but at the same time there is no internet?
yes, tapo schedule will still take effect after the network is disconnected.
So zero of these smart plugs allow you to turn a device on and of easily. Like ten minutes on, 15 minutes off. I have an Arlec one that only allows 30 inputs. I just can't believe I have to write my own software for this rudimentary feature?
You speak far to quick for someone not use to using a smart plug and how to install and use it.
Click the little cog symbol on the video and you can change the playback speed in the settings.
Is energy monitoring purely showing you how much energy the device plugged in is using? Why would this be useful?
Monitor your tenant use of heater or air-con
But it is not Zigbee, so if you loose Wi-Fi they will not work
Have you got a link?
You in a rush!? Far too quick!
Stuff this
spy on me my gaming pc so embarrassing consume a lot of power so i have to turn off
not useful for my purpose. i want it too turn off like a timer so that the oven doesn't stay on for more than 1 hour.
it supports auto-off timer.
Plugs are unreliable and fail quickly. Avoid this make.
can i use it while it's upside down
