    I have Dobermans and have fed raw for 20 years. Over a year ago, my 8 year old female developed a mammary tumor. For reasons I can’t explain here, I would not allow my vet to treat or remove it. After listening to a Steven Gundry podcast I learned that intermittent fasting reduced DCM symptoms in human patients. Since DCM is the #1 killer of Dobermans, I reduced my dogs meals from 2 meals/day to 1 meal/day. Both my older Dobermans had an improvement in their annual Holter reading. Also, my female’s tumor stopped growing. After learning about KetoPet, I used their diet protocol and the tumor reduced. My dog developed a food aversion at about 5 weeks and refused to eat. Not wanting her to suffer from a nutrient deficiency, I went back to her original raw diet, but removed all carbs and upped the fat. Her appetite returned, her energy increased, and her tumor is nearly undetectable.

      @@bearheaven7235 since I’ve been feeding my dog for her mammary tumor, I have been feeding only once/day. The body can either digest, or heal. I also fast her once/week.
      I feed her ground beef or ground pork, ground chicken backs, chicken necks, chicken heart or beef heart, a bit of beef liver, 2 eggs, and a quarter cup of animal fat. The tumor receded quickly when I cut out all carbs and fed her strictly carnivore.

    I wish I'd known about this a few months ago before my boy passed. We did surgeries and chemo, and he was cleared for a few months, but he got an infection in his spine and became paralyzed from the waist down. Then the cancer came back. We chose not to do more treatment. He was a 12.5 year old GSP. He was the sweetest, most loyal dog I've ever had.

    I was feeding my 11 year old Golden-doodle a keto/raw diet for about three years because it had worked for me. When she was diagnosed with advanced stage spleen cancer that had spread I was in total shock, still am since it’s only been six weeks since she passed. She went to vet routinely and had checkups, the only thing noted was she needed to lose about 10 lbs, thus the reason I started her on keto. I’m learning as much as possible to hopefully prevent this horrible grief and loss if another dog comes into my life. Thank you for these videos

      Early spay or neuter increases the chances of hemangiosarcoma by a striking 3 to 6 fold. Early or "on time" the fact is that desexing a young dog throws a monkey wrench into their endocrine and immune health that leads to a higher risk of cancer later in life. After losing my sweet boy to a hemangiosarcoma of the spleen, I refused to neuter my new boy. He is 3 years old, raw and low temp cooked, species appropriate low carb. he is vibrantly healthy and being intact has not cause "behavior problems" as my vet warns of. I am an enigma to one of the vets at the practice who can't believe I have neutered and over vaxxed him and that he eats anything other than kibble. She has warned me that my dog might develop testicular cancer. But, heck, if we don't remove his tongue he could theoretically develop tongue cancer. What blows my mind is that American veterinary schools are taking very bright students and turning them into robots who, when you pull the string on their back, recite propaganda written by the American Veterinary Medical Association in bed with big pharma and big pet food corporations. All of them seem to be incapable of understanding that there are risk to benefit considerations in medicine. The statistical risk of testicular cancer for an intact dog is negligible compared to the risk of hemangiosarcoma of a fixed male. The data exists and I have studied it. With respect to vaccines, none of these vets ever admit that a reaction was caused by the vaccine the dog received the day before and none of them admits that all the autoimmune diseases that set in after a dog gets a clinical reaction to a vaccine can be related.
      Seriously, the clients at the clinic who feed Hills Science Diet and come in regularly for all the atopy and ear infections with the flaky, shedding coat are praised for taking such good care of their dogs and when I bring in my dog just for a routine checkup with sparkling white teeth and a glossy coat I get disdain and lectures about how I need to get my dog on oral flea meds despite no fleas.
      My niece and I used to talk about dog health when she was in college but since she has graduated from veterinary school I hesitate to ever ask her a question because I get a Stepford Vet answer that sounds suspiciously like the recording they play on a loop when on hold with the veterinary office: "Your Dog Is Your Best Friend! You want the best for him! So, ask your veterinarian about Brevecto, the once every three month chewable that kills fleas, ticks, roundworm, heartworm, ...... and all the good flora and eventually your dog.-- The bad news is your dog is dead but the good news is that we got rid of all the bugs.

      I have to agree. Ketosis would be the natural state of being and metabolism for (omni) carnivores. It's THE proper canine diet. There is one proper diet to every wild animal. Only we people claim that we and every domesticated animal which the industry also profits from have 23673 different right ways to eat. Ketosis would be a daily thing, nutritional ketosis but also from not eating

    • @treasuretrovel3816
      @treasuretrovel3816 6 місяців тому

      Carnivores make glucose for metabolic function on an as needed basis, minute by minute through the biochemical pathway of gluconeogensis (formation of glucose from amino acids from protein in the diet). Ketones are not the only source of fuel in the low carb fed carnivore or low carb fed human (omnivores also have this biochemical pathway which is why one needs to keep protein at a moderate level if trying to achieve ketosis). Species appropriate fed dogs (high protein) do not walk around in a state of ketosis actually because of gluconeogenesis. That is not to say that they don't produce ketones in moderation. They would have keto breath if their natural state was ketosis. Just feed a species appropriate diet and let the dog's cells do their evolutionary thing.

      My dog had seizures so I put her on Dr Harvey's Paradigm. I give her grass fed beef and MCT oil C8 caprylic acid. She can't have chicken, duck or any vegetables that are high in glutamate. She had a overload in her brain and would have a seizure so bad that her gums got pale, her blood sugar dropped and the vet couldn't get much blood even from her neck since her pressure was low. The two vets said they couldn't do anything for her. She's seizure free since August 12th 2022. ❤️

      I do not know where you are based and if you use Collars such as Seresto or which brand of flea medicine. I would also look deeply into speculations ( well no more speculations a fact) of flea drops & collars having side effects such as seizure, liver & renal failure including death on dogs . Not all dogs. I would suggest googling it and on fb you will find many groups on that. We never know. We still do not know the reason why some of the dogs are effected and some not.

      @@champagnemls thank you for the advice! I do not give my dogs flea prevention. So far it has not been an issue. If I will I found this natural collar, which I can't recall the name of it right now. But supposedly, it works great! I'm very careful with any medicines or preventives. My vet was worried about heart guard or any heartworm prevention. However, she's been on it since the warm weather began and we have no side effects. I do not keep my dogs year round on it though, in the winter months I don't give it to them. Have been doing this for years, and knock on wood never had a problem. I live in the East Cost, NY to be precise. Thank you for sharing your wisdom

    If only I had known what vaccinations were doing to my dog over time, I would have done everything I could to stop vaccinating and choose a titer test for him. No veterinarian ever told me to do a titer test instead. I didn't know I had that option. And that would have saved my dog. Regret doesn't help, but I live daily wishing I could bring him back. I am doing so great myself with keto lifestyle and so my dogs. My two Doberman and a Shih Tzu been on Raw diet since I discover you, and when they was 8-9 weeks puppies and perfectly healthy. I learned from you Dr Becker and also from many other wonderful other Doctor and youtuber that feeding their dogs and cats raw. It's not much more expensive than premium kibbles and do much better health benefits to my two Doberman, it started with their poops, they poop very little comparing to dogs that eat kibble. so I can tell most of what they ate are digested and absorb into their body needs.
