I think because generally speaking, if you’re excited for an item below Elite grade, most of the time you can buy it individually from the market for a fraction of the price of actually buying a key- *and* you’re guaranteed to get it that way. So anyone who actually unboxes is specifically searching for stuff like Unusuals. Jerma is just a strange breed of guy.

There are many cases where a blue item is significantly better than a pink or red one - the only difference it makes lies in the market price, as of course the higher rarities have less items in circulation and the prices are slightly higher as a result. That doesn't mean those items were actually better or more sought after though.
