One thing I'm still shocked by to this day is the fact that it took not one but TWO weeks for Luigi to be added after the game launched, and by the time he was nearly every other major character and many more including baby variants, the Koopalings, several Mario and Peach variants, etc. had already been added in. Being a huge Luigi fan, I freaked out over this (admittedly more than I should have. ^^;;) The only reason I can even think of why they did this was because week three was Halloween and they saved him for then because "Luigi's Mansion." I get that it's big part of Luigi's identity, but he's the deuteragonist of the Super Mario Bros. franchise so he should have been there from the start. Also, if Luigi had to be associated with Halloween, why didn't he get a costume like some of the others?
I'm a lot happier we got a Pirate Bowser Jr and not Pirate Mario. Mario has tons of alts and this was Jr's first and only so far. I mean, most outfits in the game haven't originated outside of MKT, like Aurora Rosalina.
When you brought up how Snow Tour didn’t give a DK alt it brings up another thing on what people hate about Tour which is character alt diversity in which in both Years 2 & 3 we’ve constantly get alts of Mario, Luigi, Peach, Daisy, Yoshi, Toad, Toadette & Rosalina while characters like Bowser, Bowser Jr, the Kongs, Wario, Waluigi & the Koopalings barely get any alts or don’t get alts at all
Your complaint about Aurora Rosalina and Rosalina's Ice World is almost exactly equal to a complaint I have: I want to know why Detective Baby Rosalina isn't top shelf on any Rainbow Roads. Not only that, she can't even become top shelf because she isn't middle shelf on any either! That's the prime reason I will never be interested in Detective Baby Rosalina. If it was up to me, Detective Baby Rosalina would be top shelf on SNES Rainbow Road T, 3DS Rainbow Road, 3DS Rainbow Road R/T, RMX Rainbow Road 1T and RMX Rainbow Road 2R/T, and Aurora Rosalina would be top shelf on Rosalina's Ice World R/T. Also if it were up to me, Detective Baby Rosalina's special item would be the Coin Box.
It made sense why Yoshi (Reindeer) didn't return during the Yoshi Tour. He is a Holiday character so he only returns during the Winter. That's why Bowser (Santa) didn't return during the Bowser vs. Tour

There’s another thing that didn’t make sense in the Wedding tour: we didn’t get Wedding Bowser! We got Wedding Peach and Wedding Mario from Super Mario Odyssey but not Wedding Bowser even though he was in Mario Odyssey! C’mon Nintendo you already have his alt made. Why not add it?
I think Yoshi Circuit R/T also feels left out of the Yoshi Tour. For the original event in 2020, I have no clue why they decided to debut Donut Plains 1R/T in the Yoshi Tour and then YCRT in the next tour, the Trick Tour. Yoshi Circuit R/T also didn't appear in the 2021 OR 2022 Yoshi Tours. In fact, the only time I saw Yoshi Circuit R/T outside of the trick tours was when it showed up in the first ranked cup during the Sky Tour.
Another thing that doesn't make sense is that the Steel Diver kart, which represents another franchise, is in Mario Kart Tour while the Blue Falcon and other franchise-inspired karts don't appear. Man, I wish they would bring anything F-zero into Mario Kart Tour or 8 Deluxe.

Yeah Character diversity is a bit unbalanced, though I don't mind the Rosalina alts
