You left out how he was discovered. He got away with this crime for many years however the text that was believed to be written by the suspect on that brochure was blown up and put on a bulletin board and happened to be seen by a woman who instantly recognize the handwriting. She remembered having a gentleman come and do electrical work in her home and he had written her a receipt up for the work she still had that receiptAnd turned it over to law-enforcement. It was analyzed and compared to the handwriting found on the brochure and was determined to be a match.

However, I doubt that it compares to the fear and pain that their victims go through. If their victim were subjected to 10 hours of rape and torture, they should get 10 hours of rape and torture. There are a multitude of demented people in the world who do not act for fear of capture, put them to work. Sounds messed up right? A few years back my mother and sister were on vacation in Dublin. On the flight, there was this charming guy talking to my sister (we're german, my mother is not speaking english, my sister was studying english at the time) about the whole flight, getting in touch with them. So when they were about to land, he offers them to come visit them at his house in the mountains, watching the sunset together. My sister was still REALLY naive at the time and thought this was a good idea. My mother, thank god, wasn't having any of it, but she couldn't understand what they were talking about. My sister even gave him the location of their hotel. Later my sister told my mother and she was shocked. They weren't leaving the hotel that evening but from their room, they could actually see the guy from their window, pulling up with his car, waiting for them. To this day I think, if my sister did this trip alone, without my mother, she'd be dead. Thank god my mother was there to keep her safe.

I'm an attorney in Florida who specializes in criminal law, and this case has always haunted me. I didn't even know the reason why the Rogers family was in Florida; that makes this crime even more heartbreaking. One thing about this story that I find interesting is that Chandler, about a year before, had taken another young female tourist out on a ride for his boat using the same scheme. He then raped her, and later told his cellmate that he would have drowned her if she didn't have someone at the dock waiting for her. That young lady came so close to sharing this same terrible fate but in fact testified at Chandler's trial and helped to convict him.

I can't even imagine how the mother felt watching her 2 daughters get ra**ed especially after her older daughter was just trying to get past being constantly abused by her uncle. I don't even understand why anyone would do that to a 14 year old girl shes not even fully developed yet.

This crime has been covered in other videos. . In this one he didn't go into how the guy was caught. The police had no clue to his identity, only the handwriting. They'd made public his handwriting on the pamphlet, hoping somebody somewhere would recognize it. Turns out his neighbor did, because he was a weirdo who'd written her notes in her mailbox, and she knew of his boat. She called police with her info, which somehow got lost in the tips that were generated. So a good amount of time passed before it was checked and the connection was made.

A few countries have this for elderly people who are very ill, saving them from a painfull and horrible death. But why should a person who is so mentally or physically hurt not have the same choice.
I do believe it should be a thorough process, where you first have to go to seek medical help, including stuff like doctors and therapy sessions, so it's clear all is done to help you.
You should have the right to end your life, and if it's done medically, then you can still gather your friends and family around to say your goodbyes. while you can never do that if the only other option at the moment is the current ways of suicide, where no-one has closure.
