@@owenmckenzie962 Actually I believe they dropped out this year because of covid but they will likely be back for 2021 so that's still a win in my book.
@@kurtisw1117 well crash n burn, would fail to qualify as it has no primary weapon. its the reason why duck's "wedge" lifts and whoop's is fixed. and im not sure if the rules have changed, as season 3 seems better but with the judges scoring wedges actually loose (i think defence?) points every time a weapon hits them. this is why sewer snake/stinger lost to mega tanto, despite clearly stinger owning that fight.
Hi, Damaris! Yep, you're right. It's almost the same. The BattleBots robots usage rights are legally 'owned' by the BattleBots series, which means the robots are not allowed to compete anywhere else. So top roboteers like Ray Billings (Tombstone) and the boys from Brazil (Minotaur) have to build new bots to fight in other contests like RoboGames. Ray made Last Rites, and Touro Maximus is Minotaur's twin brother. It's a pity that the rules are so strict, but that's the way it goes. It'll be interesting to see how China's 'King of Bots' competition handles such contractual exclusivity issues... ;-)
These are great prequels to watch after seeing them perform on Battlebots. But the cacophony of the commentators for RoboGames were just atrocious. They really enjoy arguing with each other and passive-aggressively telling the drivers what to do.
I hope that Crash and Burn go to Battlebots someday they're one of the best multibots I've seen.
I think that they’re the best. Perfect wedges with perfect drive systems. The team work is also fabulous.

Hack and slash are coming this year basically the same cluster but with weapons

Same team, basically the same robot as Minotaur. Crash n' Burn should go on BattleBots!
@@kurtisw1117 I thiiiiiiink they applied to be but were just too far past the registration date to get in.

Pretty sure they made touro maximus before they made minotaur and last rites was also made before tombstone

They weren't robbed. That burn at the end was great, but Minotaur, I mean touro maximus, was attacking, hitting, and scoring the whole time.
Minatour
Touro, NO question
Crash and Burn were robbed.
