Do you think if a person was supposed to be married, they would be married?
I keep having the same argument with my mother. She keeps saying to go back to my home country to find a husband. As I have had disappointment after disappointment where I'm currently residing, no success. I refuse to go.
I said to her "if I am meant to be married no matter where I am in the world, I would be married"... I don't want to go chasing something.
She keeps pressuring me & telling me "you're 28yrs old. You are waisting your life away."
It's not how it feels to me though. It feels like this is what Allah wants for me.
It hurts that she says that.
Mia a My respected sister in Islam. May Allah give you the strength to handle what you are handling I am on your boat too. But, remember all we can do is first make dua to Allah to help us and then try our best to find a spouse in a halal way and after that leave the rest to Allah's decree.
Remember age is just a number, there are women younger than us who marry but were never ready 'mentally' for marriage. Marriage is a huge responsibility it is not easy to just live with another man, it requires huge sacrifices and compromises.
Look at the wife of the Prophet Sallallahu Alayhi Wasallam, Khadijah (May Allah be pleased with her) she was older than the Prophet (S.A.W), yet look how blessed their marriage was?
May Allah give us the strength to handle the comments of the people. Allah knows us better than our mothers and He knows what is right for us and what is not. Take Care...
You are right, wherever in the world you are Allah will send your destined husband your way. Don't worry about a thing you are on the right way putting your trust in Allah.

Imagine Allah (swt) decreeing for you to come into Islam single and 40. Imagine how the community, at that time, considered me way past the expiration date, on every level. Alhamdullilah I was just thankful that I was a Muslim and Allah (swt) guided me. Alhamdullilah And now 19 years later I am still single and thankful to Allah (swt) no matter what others say. Alhamdullilah It is the qadr of Allah (swt).

Kagami Taiga I’ve studied historical English literature in my academic years and it was indeed filth. Tv shows and films and modern mediums depict this if you watch Game of thrones and Spartacus and Tudors etc to name a few. What it portrays actually happened in medieval and prior times. I’ve also studied art in histories and see the stuff in museums all very sexual and about nudity etc. I know you’re joking but it’s amazing how much civilisation the prophet (pbuh SAW) brought for his ummah. Aside from sexual indecency there was extreme gore and inhumane acts such as the mentioned sad practice of burying newborns at birth for being born female, war, murders, burning alive and drawing and quartering and beheading. Life before our blessed nabi was hell. Alhamdulillah we were gifted the Quran and the messenger to guide us from the wrong path.
What will happen to single, unmarried women after death? Are they going to be in Hell for not getting married? I'm so afraid of this 'cause I'm 28 and still single

How cultures vary! My parents dont even expect me to get married at 28. Either way, we won't go to hell just cause we are not married in this world. Allah is the most Merciful, the Most Loving. And if we die unmarried, so long as we are doing right by Him, then it was his plan. And Allah knows best
Salaam sister, interesting question. The more we heal, the less we will think of Allah as a punisher for us living a human life. I'm 37 and didn't find the right person to marry. Allah sent my way a bunch of emotionally immature and traumatised men, with whom I couldn't even have a decent conversation with, and most had narcissistic tendencies, one was undiagnosed high functioning autistic.
I also have had severe mental health issues due to abuse in my life by family, spiritual teachers and others, including self abuse.
So.. life happens. Try to be realistic about being a human being first. Try to enjoy life. Then the law of resonance will bring you experiences that bring your energy high Insha'Allah.
Marriage isn’t obligatory it’s a Sunnah. So it’s ur choice it’s not haram to stay single. But it’s highly recommended u do if u can’t handle ur desires and May commit zina. But if u can control urself and have no desire to marry than do u.
Nah. I think I better remain single forever till death. With the sins I've committed and the stupid things I've done, I fear having a woman in my life will destroy her. So I dua that my future wife, if I even have one, being married to a better man and have a good life. That would be for the best.
I assume you mean Zina? If so, plenty of women who have done these things too, Just repent to Allah SWT for what you have done, don't go near it again, also you can marry a woman who has lived the same life as you and wants to go straight also, at least your being honest, lots of men literally do all sorts then demand no less then a virgin, angelic type woman, at least your a good enough person to recognize that perhaps your past could destroy a innocent woman, so how can you be a person who is completely corrupt??? you don't need to think of spending your life alone, women are not angels either, i';m not recommending you search for a satanic woman btw, all the best

The sex you get in sins is far more fun than marriage life, no investement, no commitment!
I know many of my old friends who are married, they live like slaves to their wives, paying every penny on bills, providing resources, once the kids come in the sex goes!
Then here in the west your trapped by the laws, if you divorce you get your lungs stolen!
Muslim women here don't care about islam when the marriage heads south they'd submissively go running to the courts to grab your wealth!
Marriage isn't something you can trial and improve, once knotted your trapped! Better remain single!
You got some weird replies.. but marriage is naseeb and Allah knows best. If you repented then don’t let ur past hold u back. If you changed and are heading in the right direction toward Allah than your no less deserving of marriage than any other good man. If you have the intention of being a man in a marriage than you deserve a good wife. This was 4 years ago so idk ur life situation now but May Allah bless you with a good wife if that’s what your look for.
