Just keep in mind that some people have complained about the hinges
Any chance you could toss me some links or something so I can learn how to tune it for gaming. This is my first gaming laptop and i wanna be careful with it.
That's most likely because your laptop gpu, pulls 44% of the power a desktop gpu would. I'm guess you have a very slim laptop to have a gpu pull such low wattage. Also integrated GPU's cause a major tank in performance. Some laptop manufacturers allow you to force your laptop to use the discrete graphics card (your 3060) using the bios. You'll have to look up your laptop model on google and see if optimus is an option in your bios. My laptop had the option to disable optimus (disables your Integrated gpu) and performance almost trippled.

Looking at the video clearly there is only one fan running in this design, but probably decent enough as MSi has always offered some of the best cooling in the business. The i5/1650gpu will not put out a ton of heat honestly. I have my current MSi which is a i7 8750 w/gtx1060 and it still works perfectly. @@mikhailkirton8072 I definitely noticed a difference. I play Fortnite, Apex, CoD and a few other games with no issues. Minecraft runs amazing on it lol.
@@mdein3dcosplayprops283niceness lol but in terms of FPS, GPU and CPU usage, how was it?
Here's the problems with this laptop. 1. The cpu and gpu are overheating. 2. It's literally 700 bucks. So uh...
That's my exact laptop I got it for 200$ at Walmart because they were getting rid of it. it was a 2022 model so it isn't that old.
Before the video : 500$
After the video : 750$
bought this lapt top off of facebook marketplace and i am not dissapointed with the purchase
i got mine for 270 dollar from newegg and it was in used but excellent condition with no single dust in the internal. also mine was the 11th gen i5. DO you guys think i got it for good deal??
I watch these video knowing I don't have enough money lmao
can somebody tell me what this laptop named?
How does this compare to the hp victus 1650 12th gen i5 with a 144Hz screen?
i got this a year ago since my pc broke i fixed it but its had nothing but problems so i used this until i had enough for a new pc and now this is my school/work laptop
got one around $903 USD, i7-11800H and RTX3050. (also having a lucky draw when buying GF63 and I got another laptop for free (1st place) MSI Modern 14, got to say its a bargain)
Got this for my ex earlier this year before that she had always used a mac book and she loves this laptop more than her mac book. (mainly got it for her so she could finish her college classes)
Rip
I had that, my first laptop. It wouldn't open after a week of using it while there were no viruses or no broken pieces.
it was prolly deformed , happens sometimes, better to go switch it
@@poroounicorn6568 Yeah, we didnt know. I got a new laptop now.
@@Gunray_the_guy uuuu what laptop?

Why is this $750 in my country 🙁
Hoping to have a laptop for my thesis as a Computer Science Student
The more I watch their videos the more I realize I just need to buy a desktop if I want to run anything on high😂
Well you shoud not buy a laptop if you want to do any serious gameing 😁
@@martinlinden4129 we travel a lot for work so a desktop is a bit more difficult. And I’m not talking max it out either lol. But I don’t want to have to play everything on low😂
just buy a more powerful one laptop 😂👍 my friend built his pc same price as my laptop and still my laptop out performs his desktop in every game 😂👍
laptops with 3050 or higher should run high settings on most games fine of course i dont know much but ive been researching for quite a while now
I have a desktop but a laptop would serve me much better even if I play on low settings. I’m thinking of selling my desktop and downgrading to a Lenovo legion 5 😂 I just hope I don’t regret it.
Should I get it? Or what do y'all recommend me get
if you have a budget of like 800 or up you’d get something better
For £749 not sure us you can get a 3050ti i9 i think and has a 144 hertz screen and its thin and LAN/ethernet cable
The laptop is the acer nitro 5 2020 eddition
It needs to be said that this laptops small form and light weight are really nice for someone that travels a lot. I actually use it everyday for the past 18 months or so.
Once you tune it for gaming and set up profiles for on battery regular/productivity use.
It held up to nearly daily use on flights and the battery is still holding a good charge. Just keep in mind that some people have complained about the hinges
Any chance you could toss me some links or something so I can learn how to tune it for gaming. This is my first gaming laptop and i wanna be careful with it.
That's crazy even on my 3060(75w) laptop I don't get fps like that because it is very choppy, I definitely get more on apex though.
Just bought this while watching your review, off eBay naturally, the price went up to 629 in the usa, newegg was out of stock and amazon was 729.00 ouch. Glad it still has windows 10. Thanks guys
I thought about buying this but said no, and then your review came out. Thanks
Just bought it and love it. Getting an external hard drive, but it’s still very nice for the price. Got that Black Friday deal
Yes i did the same thing and I am going to love it aswell.

i have msi gf 63 i5 9th gen . NO ISSUES TILL NOW
Is there any problems with the laptop overheating? I heard there’s only one fan, which doesn’t seem like it would cool well, especially for a gaming laptop.
Do recommend a second stick of RAM and in this a case a larger 2nd SSD. Essentially this may be only $500 but once you get a stick of RAM and a good 2Tb or 4Tb SSD it will end up at around $800-$1000 but worth it
@@DogManDan can you tell me about its build quality , specially hinges
Bro i can’t find something anywhere near of this laptop’s specs with with less than 1200$
Bought this but with i5 12450H and RTX 2050 and it’s good and I have had no hinge problem because I open it from the middle not the corners
I would say thats a "good deal"...
If at the time of its deal, rtx 3050ti laptops with a 5600h/i5 11400h laptops didn't exist for $50 more.
Did you guys not even tune the gaming laptop for further performance increases? Like undervolt the processor or OC + UV the gpu?
i have this laptop and its pretty decent for the price is also my first introduction to pc gaming and its satisfying enough also using gaming monitor
Had the GF65 Thin for a while. Absolutely loved it. 1660ti is the best budget gaming laptop card in my opinion. Feel like it's worth the extra $ to jump to the 1660ti instead of this 1650. Get that 6gn Vram. Msi is amazing though. Great laptops!
I have it too, any tips to keep my cpu cool? It always thermal throttles

I think windows automatically updates them with new updates
But still u could use some apps that scan and update old drivers

I swear everytime I watch them make a video like this, the product is never the price of what they say it is. I know it can just be different from when they recorded it, but still. It's not $500.
This is very true
It was a few days ago on best buy
i bought this exact laptop 2 weeks ago for 500, so idk maybe depends on where you live at

There was a great deal on Best Buy a week or 2 back, an HP Victus with a GTX 1650 + 12th Gen i5 for only $480 or so. There was also a Lenovo Ideapad Gaming 3 with a Ryzen 5 5600H and 3050 Ti for a hundred more than the Victus. Personally I bought the Victus because it looks better in my opinion.
I personally got the Lenovo you mentioned! Its important to note that there are a lot of compromises for its MSRP of 900 dollars without a sale (Got it for 550 from best buy on sale).
HP Victus is great for the price.
@Capybara for vr games you should be fine with a 1650 and above, depends on the game and if you are willing to make some compromises
@Capybara should really get a pc to run vr rather then laptops
I got a Asus tuf with a ryzen 7 6800h n a rtx 3050 ti for 699
