How to fix DISHWASHER NOT DRAINING - BOSCH DISHWASHER.
How to repair Bosch dishwasher that doesn’t drain (Bosch dishwasher model number SHE3AR56UC/07).
When you’ve got standing water inside your bosch dishwasher, don’t panic. And don’t call the appliance repairman just yet. If your dishwasher is not draining, there’s about 75% chance that you just have a clog and about 25% chance that you need to replace the dishwasher drain pump, which is not all that expensive to get and can be replaced DIY. First take out all the water. Then clean the filter. But don’t stop there! Make sure that the drain pump impeller can move freely and that there isn’t any debri preventing the drain pump from pumping out the water.

I looked at 15 UA-cam videos and your video was the one that fixed my Bosch dishwasher so I wanted to thank you personally. Thanks again. from John
Thank you for your kind comment, John. I guess we have the same dishwasher then!
Quick, simple and to the point, thank you
Thank you! This was super helpful and clear video of Bosch base. Worked.
I'm so happy to hear that it worked for you!
It is super helpful thank you for the video. Especially the picture of the drain pump. 👍
Great job on this video, the information is presented very clearly. You taught me how to clean the impeller and it fixed my clogged dishwasher. I got most of the water out with a dish rag and it absorbed the water quickly, then I used the baster. Thank you for your help. JT
thank you for you kind comment!
Very good video, thanks
Thanks, very clear instructions.
Awesome thanks for the info
Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Brilliant vid, this worked really well. Those dang lemon pips & charred garlic pieces really shouldn't be in that little space!
lemons and garlic... sounds like someone in your family is a great cook!
Great video
Very clear... and I am relieved to see that I am not the only one finding weird objects UNDER the filter (a wooden little fork in my case). To take out most of the water: I find a simple petrol pump works like a treat
Wet/dry shopvac makes fast work of water removal for cleaning.
great suggestion!
Genius comment!!! 🏴👍🏻
That's the same thing I told my gf... Then she goes... You'll find any excuse to buy new tools... And im like ummm well yea if there's a need for a tools then.... I'd like to get that tool... Duh.
Thanks for the video, we could easily follow your directions and fixed our dishwasher ourselves! A++
Mines not a Bosch but it worked. Removed a label that was on a package that made its way in there somehow. Used a sponge - much quicker. Thanks
Awesome!
Use a small cup and then a sponge (or justa sponge will do it) to clear out the water. take the filter top off first so you can get the cup / sponge in.
Use a power wet vac with appropriate wet filter and a special small 1" diameter attachment to suck out water from the bottom of the dishwasher. After carefully using a screwdriver or narrow needle nose pliers you can also use the wet vac to suck out debris if required from the clogged discharge tube between the dishwasher and garbage disposal.
If you have a wet dry vacuum (shopvac) it is great for removing water.
I have a small shop vac that I use to remove water not just for the dishwasher but plumbing in general.
Great suggestion! I DO have a wet vac but didn't think of using it. Now, I just have to remember this for next time. Thanks!
I use the upholstery hose on my carpet cleaner to pump the water out
I have a super soaker water gun from my grandson that I keep for this as it tends to reoccur. Much easier to pump out vs turkey baster
That's very creative!
If you lift that round half bulb just behind the filter, the drain will turn on and clear any sitting water. If there is a drainage problem, the water will obviously come back into the basin slowly.
You mean I didn't have to siphon all that water out using a turkey baster?!? That was the most time consuming part. Anyway, thank you for the tip! I'll have to remember that for the future.
A much better way to get the water out: a shop vacuum. take the filter out of the vacuum, and they are a we/dry vacuum. I did that, and it took about 5 seconds. I can't imagine using a turkey baster.
How often does that happen?
i have standing water in my dishwasher several hours after the cycle ends but not right after it ends. when i do the drain function it drains the water fine. i cant find a water leak
Also works for Siemens!
Good to know. Thanks!
You have a lovely Asian Voice and very good English
I can use drano for cleaning
The impeller should spin but have some resistance to it, if it spins freely you should change the pump
plastic cup works best for getting watyer out or most of water
Aquarium handheld pump to drain
Use a wet dry vacuum to get the water out.
Same problem for me. I tried this couple of times. But mine not clear. 😣
I'm so sorry to hear that. You probably need to change the drain pump then. That's a DIY job and the part is not very expensive.
Always rinse your dishes before you stick them in the washer
Good tip!
Use a water transfer pump to move water easily
i used a wet vac. it was fast!!
Great tip. Thanks!
i got the water out from the bottom by using my carpet cleaner hose and it sucked all of water out from the bottom
You can hit the drain button and will all drain out
I would use a sponge to get the water out
you could siphon it out with a pvc pipe and a little help from your mouth probs the cheapest way
Use a shop vac
Me personally would have use dry towels to soak up the water.
It’s called a wet vacuum cheap stinger from Homedepo will suck out the water and debris
i didn't even think to look for such a small, compact wet vac. i'll have to remember the Stinger!
Use a sponge to remove water
Hit the cancel button. It should drain.
Lol, why "should" the tenants have to do anything?
I'm glad someone else said it before I did. Aside from it not being my responsibility (and it sounds like they did make a good faith effort to fix it), I don't want to risk destroying the appliance.
Shop vac
Don't understand where these big things come from and clogge the dishwasher !
Maybe they are stuck to the bottom of dishes, pots, and pans but don't get noticed...
@@KYKCreations yes you are absolutely right ✅
A shop. Vac
I just bought myself a 2 gallon shop vac. Yay!
I use my mouth and a big pipe ..It's easy and fast...
😂
Shop vac
