another wow. they got more stock than here in small town USA. And those pastries ! look so tasty. Calvados! Gotto drive an hour to get that.... may be I should move to Russia! Not surprised that the stores did not really went away. Why would they? soon it is over, and then they can start doing business again.

Well, I don't think this is the luckiest choice to depict "typical Russia." But I get the point, just as I am familiar with the things you have shown. People who don't live in the west are more informed and less brainwashed. I like your videos, you seem like a nice guy. Thank you.
p.s. Also, it's amazing that in addition to hundreds of videos from different hundreds of people on this site that detail every part of Russia; there are still people in the comments who act like they discovered yt existed this morning. The brain that is washed is a f.ucked up thing indeed.

interesting video, thank you for sharing and showing your perspective on the field
IMO the video's too shallow for its length. you can't tell the stock by how it looks or by "customer activity". I mean, in a sense, if you see it completely empty, yes, you can tell they've no stock, but just by what they display, without asking the employees about their stock, if there's been any changes, etc. you just can't know. I wouldn't say the people running the beautiful but closed Chanel store are happy with the outcome and i'm not sure how long they can sustain paying those rents, etc.
Maybe you're right and they're perfectly stocked, maybe because they're luxury brands they can just blame their lack of stock to exclusivity to an undistinguishable degree vs here in the west (Rolex are famous for this here as well, probably the fashion brands as well), or maybe they would just be honest case by case and say that bc of "technical problems" they can't have whatever you're requesting
also, without doing a price comparison it's all somewhat meaningless. some people in the US are up in arms screaming about inflation and bidenflation or whatever lol, if the ruble has recovered purchasing power for imports maybe rich people there notice it less but then life is more expensive for the average Джо (lol). If olive oil was $10/l a year ago and now it's $15 people (reasonably) get upset

Show me their prefabricated apartment buildings and their cramped apartments that typically have two small rooms, small kitchen with a washing machine (no room to put it anywhere else), and non-existent walk-in closets. While you're at it, don't forget to mention residency permits and internal passports. Seriously, dude. Am I supposed to be impressed by a fucking department store? Yey, everyone is buying Rollex watches and eating delicious pastries. You need to get out more.

The apartment has two tiny rooms, a kitchen, and what they call a water closet. It has no walk-in closets, and their washing machine is in the kitchen because there's no room to put it anywhere else. That's how their "middle class " lives. Go spin your tales somewhere else 👌
