I love the diesels, When I was a teen I virtually filed multiple train spotting books, remembering getting the 23rd out of the Deltics at 12 30 am as it passed via WGC.80s were awesome
I bet id love to go back intime with a modern day camera and film them in action on the mainline, my favourite was when i was about 12 down in Dawlish seeing the virgin and GWR livered HSTS and class 47s speeding past
