Great review. The on-screen data you imported as you spoke the numbers is fabulous. You also pointed to the unit you were speaking about. Two presenter skills that are extremely effective. People need to see numbers as numbers are spoken. Very informative, thank you.
Thank you
Good to see that Ecoflow really does improve their power stations from the previous model and not just remodeling them like all the other brands.
Thanks
Your reviews are clean, concise , quick, simple. Amazing. Thanks man!
Thanks buddy I always try to get better every day. You have no idea how much video editing I do to clean things up but never gonna be perfect and I appreciate you.
Thank you. This was very helpful. I can say after watching this that other than the LiFePO4 batteries, I am not as impressed with the River 2 as I was originally. Don’t get me wrong, still a great value but not an outright winner for me. Let’s hope the River 2 Pro is more of an outright winner. Thank you.
Glad it helped
Excellent..direct...I still need to know what they can power...that is the most important for me...a heater...a refrigerator?
This video will help answer your question. It’s a detailed video to hang on and have some fun. Maybe grab a cuppa coffee.

Great head to head comparison! You always do a great job with every product review. Thanks for the great content …your reviews really help us consumers make the best choices for each of our use cases.
Thanks Jay
Great comparison! Thank you so much!👍👍
Thank you
I am impressed that the new River 2 Max now has a 5 year warranty. Which is longer than what Ecoflow offered on the River Max.
Pretty nice
The River 2 Max sure is a good improvement from the previous generation and charges faster too.
Thanks for watching
How do these do with CPAP? We have 2 to run in our RV and need something that will run both all night.
That's a hard question to answer because all cpaps are not the same then you've got Heat and other things that you need that actually use more energy I might recommend a Delta 2 made by eco-flow maybe because that's also expandable
Quite informative! Quite thorough as always! Are those capable of going off grid with a home using approximately 2,000 Watts daily? What would be required to do so? Eco is one of the better power sources? Thanks for the video.
What you need to know is what are the power requirements for your devices?
Each unit has a limit it can handle and these units have small batteries.
You might want to think about a delta 2 or a delta max they are expandable and they can handle more wattage and more solar recharging I’ll put some links down below.

Great video… not happy about the fact that you now have to buy the solar wires… but we can get them on amazon no?
amazon or ebay

Thank you!
I have a solar Cable in the description if you pick it up you help support the channel
Great comparison 👏 👍 👌
Thank you
Thank you for the video. would you be able to check if the River 2 Max will take a charge from a battery bank like the anker ones with PD out 20-30w please ?
I have tried charging my River Mini W from a 40k Anker Battery with a usb-c to XT60 lead and whilst it works the input fluctuates. i can only assume due to the output from the battery bank not quite being enough constant for the MPPT controller.
The max in general will because the USB type C is an in and out, it all depends on the wattage output of the port you are connecting it to. 18w etc.
Thanks! Cool content!
Thank you
Excellent review, thank you.
Thanks
Great review! Question - Even with the extended battery life/warranty (which is a massive difference!), I'm stuck thinking the older one is still better purely because you can use more appliances on it, e.g. coffee makers, blenders etc. Why did they reduce that on the new model?? (600w vs 500w/Boost 1200w vs 1000w),
Am I over estimating the difference in appliances you can use on each, and so should be considering the new one instead for it's other advantages? Thanks! J
Thank you very much
I would say take a look at the current river Pro that has some good power and you can buy another battery and double the battery capacity. Now I'll also tell you they are coming out with a new River Pro very soon. Another model to look at is the Delta Mini. Let me know what you decide to do
@@TechMadeEzy Awesome thanks for that, I'll take a look and let you know 🙂
Ecoflow really did improve the new River 2 Max. Charges faster than anything I have ever seen.
Thanks for watching
The 3000 charge cycle alone of the new River 2 Max shows how good it is.
Why did they make it uglier though? Lol, I love the look of the older one but the battery life is shite because 500 cycles is something like 3 years max if you charge once every 3 days or once every two days etc.
You think Ecoflow could make an adapter to connect 2 units in parallel to increase the output wattage if needed in a certain instance.
A box that would plug into both ac outlets from one unit to another into one combined output. They once had something called x-link
that was abandoned for some reason unknown.
I'm aware of the x-boost feature which is great for starting refrigerator compressors at startup.
I also have a 500 watt AC inverter that connects to a car battery direct to be able to charge up the Ecoflow in an hour if needed if the power is out.
They make something like that for the Delta pro. It’s called the double voltage hub. It allows you to power 240 V appliances.
@@TechMadeEzy Yes, that is alot easier to design but for 120 volt output both inverters have to be in sync as not to damage
both units I believe. They had that feature in the R600 prototype models that preceded the final River model but that did not carry over.
Hi, The River Max has 136w output from the car socket not 96w (13.6v @ 10 amps).
Sorry to say that’s wrong, go to the ecoflow website you will see car output 12v/24v 8A 100w max
And that was changed after it launched because I had the initial specs
I'm saying the River Max's OUTPUT "not charge input" is 13.6v @ 10 amps. I have 1 and use it to power a diesel heater that pulls 136w on preheat start.
Why don't you charge your EcoFlow 2 with your EcoFlow OG????
Good morning!
Rise and grind
@@TechMadeEzy thanks for the tips on maintaining the battery when not in use, good stuff. You may already know this but I saw something about eco flow coming out with a refrigerated cooler? Hello Brooklyn!
Thanks yes very cool 🔥👍🏻
👍👍
on the usb c cable needs to be 100w version not the 60w version
Is this Howard Stern
Ok I’m busted
No overload, no solar cables... 😑
If I have a river max from 1.5 years ago, no problems. Is it worth selling to upgrade to the 2?
Honestly, if you were going to upgrade, I would probably tell you to go to a Delta 2 it’s $650 right now and it’s also expandable and much more powerful and just a little bigger just don’t tell your wife your spending money amzn.to/3QA1bqf
