- Bioscape is updated to v1.4, adding 75 new presets in folder 09. Zen. The presets are created by Luftrum, Amphilium and Peter Gagliardi and are all based on the world instrument samples added in v1.3 plus some new fretless guitar samples added in v1.4. All the new presets require Kontakt 6.6.1 or later, or the latest version of Kontakt Player.
The update also added 12 new fretless ebow guitar samples in the 'Bowed' category, ranging from clean to distorted, with sustain, slide-in and slide-out. The new samples are recorded by composer and guitarist Mike Baugh.
Bioscape v1.4 is free for all existing customers and the update is done directly in Native Access.

Thanks for continuing to update your product after release, and for providing those updates free to existing customers! I wish other developers would do the same.
Bio-Escape, one of my favourite synths, desperately needed nowadays, to escape the human madness and to find a moment of inner peace. Thanks a lot for the update!
One of my favourites! The original was an absolute no brainer purchase and is still a regular part of my workflow..
Loving these new presets .. What you've done with these samples is amazing! Luftrum, Amphilium and Peter Gagliardi your sound design skills are serioulsy first class!! 🙏
Appreciate the update and the vid. Look forward to exploring 👍
Great stuff Søren!!! Just downloaded it, but yet to dig in ….. can’t wait 😛🤘🎹🎵🇬🇧🍻

3:47 is amazing
Thanks for another great update. These new patches sound amazing, and will definitely find a home in my minimal tension compositions. Did you also make some improvements to the software itself? It seems like sounds and presets load faster than than they used to, which is great :-)
Hi Nigel. Thank you. There are no improvements in Bioscape itself, but NI might have made improvements to the Kontakt engine, which then reflects in Bioscape.
@@Luftrum1 That makes sense, I know they did make some recent revisions to Kontakt. Either way, it's better at loading presets than before, which is all that matters :-)
I have done update using NA and a lot of presets loading without samples.I can only see names but not sound waves.Any suggestion please?
If you cannot see the samples or the new snapshots after running the updater, then just reinstall the complete Bioscape library and it will work again. This process won’t affect or erase any user-created snapshots, as these are located in a different directory.
So, if the updater fails, just reinstall Bioscape. This is done from the "Installed products" tab in Native Access. Hover over Bioscape where it reads FULL VERSION and you can reinstall the library.

@@Luftrum1 I will try.Thank you
@@Luftrum1 I'm having the same issue. I see the presets, but the samples are empty.
@@peterkoval please just reinstall Bioscape as described above, and it will work again.
@@Luftrum1 Thanks. That worked.
Just bought this. I like Bioscape. DISAPPOINTED. Native Instruments SUCKS. Never again. I hope you create your own independent player/manager. You can do it. I hope you do.
@@johnny_blz Bioscape is a nice program. Just make sure you are fully up to date as best you can be with your computer and OS and compatible with NI. They love updating their player a lot and force you to update your OS.
Sometimes, you may not want to update because your whole system is running fine. For some reason, NI changes things a lot faster than other companies without noticeable performance or features.
Some companies are great about backwards compatibility for a long time. (PreSonus Studio One). But not NI.
I also personally hate their player. The font is horribly small and looks like Windows 98. And to me, it's not very intuitive.
And when you download make sure your preferences are properly checked within the downloader. (not obvious). The better companies will always show a pop-up window BEFORE downloading confirming your location. (Spitfire, Orchestral Tools, etc). Never NI. It just starts downloading. (Maybe you have another HD and forget to check it before the download? Too bad.)
It's the little things that they are missing. Maybe I've gotten used to some of their competition? I'd say, go for it as long as you are aware of the above. Bioscape is a good program. ✌
