I really hope they add some superbosses as DLC that are like, way harder. Because the ones we have now become a bit trivial after you get everything maxed out.
Well the thing is that the prep time for these builds is way less than the OP xenoblade x builds so it feels easy to be OP (when in reality it just takes less grinding) it'll be worse when NG+ comes out and you can add a third accessory slot.
If you precharge the chain attack on nearby mobs , you can use dagas instead of mythra , his kaiser zone passive gives 120% dmg to the party and makes it go even further beyond ( herald will hit 16 time 999 999 ) . Im not even sure QTpi is the best for the quickest-max dmg setup to be honest , but as long as you can make herald hit for 16M dmg you are pretty much done .
QTpi is required for having the best break art in the game and access to all elements so she can use volt so we get a lot of extra damage. If you precharge the meter you can replace Mythra yeah. If you don't have a precharged meter then Mythra is used because she charges it faster than any other character. Also Kaiser zone is only another additive, it'll raise her damage to about 700K per hit. Not damage cap. lol
Ophion also has a reflect. He’s the only enemy I’ve ever seen that has one. So you want Nullify Reflection from Cloud Sea Ken before fighting. Just a little note.
Craig DelliCarpini no you don’t it’s usually easy to tell when he is going to put the barrier up there is a larger gap inbetween attacks. Then simply disengage as in put your weapons away and wait for it to end
Have you ever thought of making a new video on this same topic? Since New Game + is a thing, additional accessory slot for each driver, new blades, new accessories and aux crystals, Bringer of Chaos difficulty, and challenge mode is in the game, it’d be good for future players of the game.
only real improvment i could make is to swap out the 'critical up' on mythra for 'massive melee mythra'. i get that some people don't like how it looks but it boosts crit rate by 25% instead of 'critical up' which boosts it by only 20%
ether stat. You don't really need anything on rex besides mythra so you can replace it with whatever. Ray of punishment will pretty much always damage cap regardless of setup.
For whatever reason, my team doesn't seem to have even close to the amount of effectiveness as yours. I make sure to Topple before applying an Element, I do Fiora (Rex), Zeke (Herald), and Tora (QTPi), and they have more or less the same aux cores. Yet under perfect conditions Herald does around 200,000 per attack. I think the only difference is that I have S1 trust on her, not S+. Is this what makes the massive difference? With Hunters Chemistry on my side Blades to start with full affinity, Herald has Auto-Attack: 1064, Block Rate: 1%, Critical Rate: 20. So Moon Matter Chip. She has Affinity Max Atk V, Titan Hunter V (I'm fighting Kurodil), and Specials Lv 1 Plus V. I just want to know if S+ Trust is the big game changer. I have the same thing with Mythra, Fiora, and Poppi QTPi but I'm mostly concerned about Herald since she's the big damage dealer in the chain attack.
I just realized we only have 2 Fire element blades not counting Pyra, Morag or the Poppis, in Newt and Dagas... I guess I know what one of the elements of the DLC blades is Lol.
Does this work on Nameless Sentinel? Also, despite having the same equipment and Herald and Mythra maxed on Trust, I can't do as much damage. Does that mean I need to max out Poppi QTπ as well?

I set my party up, same as yours, down to the last detail, but I'm unable to drop Kurodil in one chain attack, no matter what I do. I can't get the timing right between the Topple and Volt, to get that fusion combo, or when I do pull it off, there's snow enough time left in the Topple to effectively chain him. It's getting frustrating.
Jason Dunn Dunno if this is still an issue for you, but there are accessories that increase the amount of topple time, that could help? Cressidus extends it too
I'm aware it's doable, just not quite sure if it is with this setup since it requires landing a fusion combo and Ophion is immune to break. You'd have to setup differently.
yes, he used kosmos, QTpi and (i think) Adenine (could be wrong about that last one tho) Edit: actually thinking about it, im not sure he used kosmos, i think herald makes more sense, but i might be over thinking this now
Hachet Duck he uses adenine to boost weakness damage than runs light core on poppi and kosmos to hit light damage. You need to max out adenine and rng a light core so if you've gotten so lucky it's a neat build but not as versatile. Good to know crit symbol actually boosts crits for all characters. I figured it did due to it's similarities to burst symbol I'll have to toss one on a character again.
what is the purpose of the common blades and kassandra? I'm trying to match this setup and understand it but am not sure what those are for. Is it just for a stat boost or is there a battle skill they have that is useful?
I think the common blade is for the ultimate combo skill, and probably the orb master skill. These skills are very useful, and only show up on common blades.
The ultimate max alpha mode destroys this build completely, the damage multiplicator for the chainattack gets absolutely f*cked. Is there a way to kill things super easy in this mode? This mode is absolutely brutal in the challenge battle mode. I want to complete every challenge on every difficulty but ultimate Max alpha is just unbelievable strong
ah, because ive seen similar videos with titan hunter but i never really understand why since going between outdoor and indoor is easier unless they didnt have that aux core.
For me PoppiQTπ doesn't always break regardless of Tora having a betascope. When that happens tora just goes off switching blades and I can't get the fusion combo anymore 😕 what do I do?
Does this still work? In a later video you mentioned the chain attacks were getting nerfed and I haven't fully seen it. Or maybe I do, I'm not sure, but that's why I'm asking.

I have been searching for a while on what the best or decent build is to follow both for driver blade choice and for general driver build( evasion, crit heal etc) I just got to chapter 6 in the game still new to this, however, I am trying to make sure I can max my team the best way possible so I was hoping you can help with Team build for now and later. Currently, I have: Rex: Mythra/Pyra, Roc, Godfrey, Agate, Kora, Zenobia, Electra, Newt, Azami Nia: Boreas, Sheba, Dromarch, Vale, Gorg, Nim, Finch Zeke: Pandoria, Ursula, Floren Tora: P QT, P A Morag: standard. I have seen so many guides and video but still very confused about what the best blade for the Drivers are. I don't mind using Rex/Morag or Zeke as my main blade, I just need help on what build to follow and what blades to use or aim for each driver. If you can please help out on this I will appreciate it. Can you give a Full on detail with Herald? It's just.... her attacks aren't exactly as effective as your video made her out to be, I have the same set up im sure of it with S+ trust, moon matter chip and everything you just displayed there's other things i'm not certain on like how Tora topples the enemy before i can even perform the fusion combo myself
dequip tora's topple art. You have to use volt with QTpi and apply it after you use your own topple. Then chain attack instantly while topple is still in effect.

OHHH wait a minute, can you dequip arts in the Enchants arts menu? Swapping it around with the slot seperated from the other 3? I thought that was the 'Special' slot to upgrade, didn't know i had a 4th art then entire time

Enel thanks! I used moon matter on mythra and Herald but I had put Dilaton chip on all three Poppis and I think I’ll keep them that way, as they are the only ones which don’t come out again. But I only have S1-4 trust on them. It takes ages to increase it! 😓
Enel how much damage difference does it make if you have S+ trust I have S3 but I am not getting the crazy numbers you are and everything but that is the same
if you have completed her affinity chart then feed a shit ton of food to her for 3 hours, this will slowly get you S+ trust which slowly builds your auto attack stat
Since version 1.3 only the effect from the blade currently used has an effect on the battle so this build should not work anymore, right? Do you have any other build that is similar to this one that still works? Luckily it seems that all the sets for Poppi in this video can be created without Tiger! Tiger! if you have enough Ether Crystals and you can get these easily in NG+.
I have S+ rank trust on all 3 blades, this means I fed them a lot of food to raise their affinity to 59,000 trust. it's a bit of a grind but you get 50% extra damage.
It's maybe a dumb question but where can i see the current trust level? I played the game for almost 400hrs (different language that's why i ask where to find it)
Jonas Hallberg morag doesn't really get that kind of damage. You could give kos mos to nia and equip two commons with the highest ether mods you can find. She has a high base ether stat so she does a lot of damage if you're willing to use the overdrive.
MxM Go to shops and buy 1 of every item. You might not be able to buy all their items: you need a certain development level for the area and usually a merc mission. After you buy all the items from a shop, go back into the buy menu and you will be able to buy deeds. Some deeds increase item pickup range.
I've followed your build from this video very closely. I have all the exact same pouch items and accessories (legendary accessories too, at that) QT3.14, Mythra, and Herald are all S+ with moon matter chips and the cores from the video. QT3.14 is built identically (not qt, but her and alpha both have Hunter's chemistry like suggested) This has never worked for me once unless I get a light seal up first with Rex. I get my gauge up with the trash mobs next to the boss and go in with the party gauge at least 2/3rds full. I go in, wait for Tora to break, use Rex to topple, then as soon as Tora hits volt, I hit the chain attack. I have every rare blade in the game - is there a suggestion for what blades to equip to Zeke besides Herald? He also happens to have KOS-MOS and a ton of other blades... Does he need more ether boosting stuff?
I think he has blades that have an either up bonus so he does more either damage. his character affinity tree (Not blade) might also be maxed or something. and also chips for weapons help a lot on enemies because it boosts you over all damage, not just your auto attack damage.
Dylan Townsend all my drivers had their affinity chart maxed. I also mentioned in my initial comment that I was using the exact same build down to the core chips. But yes, an ether mod is possibly the reason (although I think Herald may use strength, could be wrong) More likely though it was probably me struggling with fusion combos in such a short timeframe. I ultimately settled for stacking an orb and saying screw fusion combos to guarantee the kill.
another thing that i found wired is that the AI adapts to your play style. At first it use to be hard for me to do fusion combos but i think the ai eventually learns. Like right after finishing my smash mia would automatically use break. just have characters like Mia use break and you do the rest with topple, launch, smash. I also have fast blade switch but that is kind of obvious and necessary.
pneuma is weaker than pyra or mythra on base. there is no s+ rank on her and her attack is about 1200 compared to the 1500 both pyra and mythra have, pneuma is only optimal with a lot of elemental orbs
Poppi QT pi is arguably the best blade in the game. Even if Tiger! Tiger! Isn’t your thing, you can try level 2 and get ~1000 crystals from a good run.
Probably not unfortunately. She needs to take the aggro since she can run crit heal on poppiswap and she also has access to the best break art in the game.
Well that's too bad. If I create a light orb with Mythra and then launch a chain attack (with topple and a level 1 special attack) can I use Heralds' power twice or is the attack only that strong on round 1?

Dreadfury Kosmos does similar damage but has a great lvl 2 heal special and access to light. I prefer her but I'm pretty sure Herald's lvl 1 special is better for damage.
This build requires S+ though right? I'm looking for something I can have during a leveled down playthrough while also not one shotting everything with an auto attack.

Not really this is for cheese-ing super bosses, you have a lot of grinding ahead of you prior to getting to this OP, especially on Poppy. I took my time but for reference I'm at chapter 8, 70 hours in. Still enjoying the game.

Enel True enough. It's just really to get Shiba's power up with her passive. Unlike many passives, you can directly control it but yeah, I agree that almost any blade can be completely broken with the right setup.
Lol games like this are so trash. If 6ou can beat something that easily and it's like the hardest thing to kill in the game. It just shows how broken the game is and how there isnt any skill needed.
But getting Moon Matter Chips and playing lots of Tiger! Tiger! to earn all the Poppi parts isn't quick and easy. You still have to earn all this power.
You know at the time when this video was made, it took hours and days to get blades to this level of power. Every game looks easy when you are at max cap with damage.

Yes she is incredibly powerful by herself once maxed also I’m pretty sure it will work on anything that can be toppled
So I was trying to get max affinity V aux cores but the drivers arent at the olethro play house :/ do I have to do something to unlock em?
It may be postgame or quest locked. I think you do need to complete a quest for them to appear. Not sure which one it is unfortunately.

i saw a video 2 weeks ago with someone using a setup to kill ophion in 45 secs, you should look it up, its do-able.

Yeah, it applies to whoever is active even if not equipped on the active blade.
So I can have it on a passive blade and my active blade will still get the benefit

Can you give a Full on detail with Herald? It's just.... her attacks aren't exactly as effective as your video made her out to be, I have the same set up im sure of it with S+ trust, moon matter chip and everything you just displayed
there's other things i'm not certain on like how Tora topples the enemy before i can even perform the fusion combo myself
dequip tora's topple art. You have to use volt with QTpi and apply it after you use your own topple. Then chain attack instantly while topple is still in effect.

OHHH wait a minute, can you dequip arts in the Enchants arts menu? Swapping it around with the slot seperated from the other 3? I thought that was the 'Special' slot to upgrade, didn't know i had a 4th art then entire time
So herald and Mythra is fine now, But poppi is not doing the amount of damage as she should be even with the fusion combo

I used moon matter on mythra and Herald but I had put Dilaton chip on all three Poppis and I think I’ll keep them that way, as they are the only ones which don’t come out again.
But I only have S1-4 trust on them. It takes ages to increase it! 😓

increase trust. drug her till she reach S+
if you have completed her affinity chart then feed a shit ton of food to her for 3 hours, this will slowly get you S+ trust which slowly builds your auto attack stat
Since version 1.3 only the effect from the blade currently used has an effect on the battle so this build should not work anymore, right? Do you have any other build that is similar to this one that still works? Luckily it seems that all the sets for Poppi in this video can be created without Tiger! Tiger! if you have enough Ether Crystals and you can get these easily in NG+.
What weapon modifications do you use? I use Moon Matter Chip but only get 990 Auto-Attack on Poppy, 936 on Herald and 1048 on Mythra.
I have S+ rank trust on all 3 blades, this means I fed them a lot of food to raise their affinity to 59,000 trust. it's a bit of a grind but you get 50% extra damage.
It's maybe a dumb question but where can i see the current trust level? I played the game for almost 400hrs (different language that's why i ask where to find it)

Is there anything else boosting your herald's damage that you aren't mentioning? Mine isn't hitting those numbers despite following your build exactly
It's probably the fusion combo, where the special lands after the topple, increasing the damage for as long as the topple remains active.
How do you start with 957% damage on the chain attack in the beginning? Pls respond

burst symbols add a flat 200% to your starting chain attack damage. so 3 of them is 600%, you start at 300% so that is 900%.

Jonas Hallberg morag doesn't really get that kind of damage. You could give kos mos to nia and equip two commons with the highest ether mods you can find. She has a high base ether stat so she does a lot of damage if you're willing to use the overdrive.

How do you collect items without going directly over them?

Go to shops and buy 1 of every item. You might not be able to buy all their items: you need a certain development level for the area and usually a merc mission.
After you buy all the items from a shop, go back into the buy menu and you will be able to buy deeds.
Some deeds increase item pickup range.

I've followed your build from this video very closely.
I have all the exact same pouch items and accessories (legendary accessories too, at that)
QT3.14, Mythra, and Herald are all S+ with moon matter chips and the cores from the video. QT3.14 is built identically (not qt, but her and alpha both have Hunter's chemistry like suggested)
This has never worked for me once unless I get a light seal up first with Rex. I get my gauge up with the trash mobs next to the boss and go in with the party gauge at least 2/3rds full.
I go in, wait for Tora to break, use Rex to topple, then as soon as Tora hits volt, I hit the chain attack.
I have every rare blade in the game - is there a suggestion for what blades to equip to Zeke besides Herald? He also happens to have KOS-MOS and a ton of other blades... Does he need more ether boosting stuff?
I think he has blades that have an either up bonus so he does more either damage. his character affinity tree (Not blade) might also be maxed or something. and also chips for weapons help a lot on enemies because it boosts you over all damage, not just your auto attack damage.
Dylan Townsend all my drivers had their affinity chart maxed. I also mentioned in my initial comment that I was using the exact same build down to the core chips. But yes, an ether mod is possibly the reason (although I think Herald may use strength, could be wrong)
More likely though it was probably me struggling with fusion combos in such a short timeframe. I ultimately settled for stacking an orb and saying screw fusion combos to guarantee the kill.
another thing that i found wired is that the AI adapts to your play style. At first it use to be hard for me to do fusion combos but i think the ai eventually learns. Like right after finishing my smash mia would automatically use break. just have characters like Mia use break and you do the rest with topple, launch, smash. I also have fast blade switch but that is kind of obvious and necessary.
What about summoning the mythra ascenede form
pneuma is weaker than pyra or mythra on base. there is no s+ rank on her and her attack is about 1200 compared to the 1500 both pyra and mythra have, pneuma is only optimal with a lot of elemental orbs

Poppi QT pi is arguably the best blade in the game. Even if Tiger! Tiger! Isn’t your thing, you can try level 2 and get ~1000 crystals from a good run.
Probably not unfortunately. She needs to take the aggro since she can run crit heal on poppiswap and she also has access to the best break art in the game.

only the round one is that good, but the power of the other characters should make up for it anyway.

Okay but KOS-MOS is still better outside of this kind of cheese.
Dreadfury Kosmos does similar damage but has a great lvl 2 heal special and access to light. I prefer her but I'm pretty sure Herald's lvl 1 special is better for damage.

burst symbols can be obtained from the bufa enemies near the ancient wall in temporentia. It takes about 2-3 hours of time feeding.

you can "instakill" with any blade. Opening arts plus and a few additives are all you need.
Enel True enough. It's just really to get Shiba's power up with her passive. Unlike many passives, you can directly control it but yeah, I agree that almost any blade can be completely broken with the right setup.

You know at the time when this video was made, it took hours and days to get blades to this level of power.
Every game looks easy when you are at max cap with damage.
