  • Landing the Su-25T in DCS World with crosswind. 9m/s wind. Straight in landing step by step.
I come in at about 300km/h and follow the circle to stay at a good crab. If I overshoot or undershoot, slow adjustments to get back on course. When I rudder kick to straighten out before touchdown, there's a small moment before I start shifting due to the wind. Lower the alt before straighting and touchdown, the less drift there will be.
Manual states not to use the chutes above 4-5m/s crosswind. I find that if you slow down a lot (180-100km/h depending on crosswind) and still need to slow down more faster, then you can deploy them.
Manual states "the aircraft can be held steady while rolling in a crosswind of up to 11-14 m/s, provided the runway is dry."
