Great video Logan, welcome to our skies! Leave some of that ha for us mate🤣 interesting to see the other two little galaxies, you pulled out some nice details! Excellent image of m101, great edit👍We’re loosing astronomical darkness here soon, getting late before we can start imaging! Your skies should be getting darker, just hope they get clearer too👍 CS
Thanks Simon. The nights are certainly getting longer so imaging start is much earlier (but so is the rain😩). With Spain being lower than the UK I'm hoping there will still be some astronomical darkness for imaging 🤞. Clear skies
Thanks Ollie. I know exactly what you mean.... there seems to be be some astrophysical law that states the skies will be cloudy when there is no moon and then the clouds will part on a full moon (but only briefly).
Nice M101 image Logan one of my favourite targets although never had a decent image of it yet. What would be your favourite Northern hemisphere target you'd go for? Clear skies
Thanks Tich. UA-cam is up to it's usual wackiness - I replied to you comment but it's not there so I'll try again. My top of list was Melotte 15 but I now kind of have that in my Heart Nebula image. My next port of call was going to be the Crescent nebula and I'm gathering data on that now (although more widefieled). Clear skies.
Another great video Logan, is this your own remotely hosted rig, or one you just buy time on..? Certainly a good option for us here in the U.K., as the weather is still awful….☹
Thanks Stuart. This is a rig I am renting for the year (and longer if I wish to) and only I get to use it. It's in the PixelSkies compound but the shed is effectively rented by First Light Optics who have about 10 or so rigs in that shed, all practically the same except some are mono and some are OSC. I think they are currently installing some rigs of different focal length in another shed (but don't quote me on that 😀). I did an earlier video talking all about it here : ua-cam.com/video/V3uWmnz4Buc/v-deo.html
Hi Logan great looking image thanks for taking us along for the ride
And thank you for coming on the ride. Appreciate you checking out the video. Clear skies.
Great video Logan. M101 is a great target for us northerners. Clear skies bud
Thanks Rob. Fortunately M101 is big enough to not get lost in the fov of this scope. Clear skies to you too.

Great image Logan. It's fun watching you explore the North a bit :)
Thanks James. I am certainly having fun doing so.
Well done, like the adding of Ha, live in Southern Spain(retired from Belgium) and also lots of clear nights on my balcony
Thank you. Nice that you are having lots of clear nights in your new home in Spain. Clear skies (oh hang on, you're already getting those :) )
Nice work mate. I'm on the waitlist for a 90mm rig on this observatory and can't wait!
Thanks very much. Ah cool, hopefully one will be available soon. Weather has been a bit sketchy in Spain recently so hoping it gets better in summer.
cool Logan! Glad to see u wetting your stellar feet up North. Nice M101!
Thanks Jason. It might not be the ideal focal length for galaxy season but fortunately M101 is quite sizeable.
Came out looking good Logan, hopefully I'll get a galaxy at some point if we get a clear non moon stretch.
Thanks Ollie. I know exactly what you mean.... there seems to be be some astrophysical law that states the skies will be cloudy when there is no moon and then the clouds will part on a full moon (but only briefly).
