    Alexey, thank you for all your help with my ballroom dancing. You are a master at your craft! The way you break it all down for a beginner like me is invaluable. The best part of it all, though, is I (probably 'we') LOVE who you are...you make the world a better place! Keep being Alexey :)

    Hi Alexey, I have watched almost all of your Latin technique lessons in a short space of time and really love them all. I have noticed a progressive improvement from from one lesson to the next...I have been enjoying watching them over and over again. Also, I have noticed that you have taken comments and requests on board and you just did the Jive basic techniques on 050418. That was really, really good. When you have time, can you please do the arms styling technique, particularly when walking backward, for instance in Rumba or Chacha back lock or backward walk...Thanks in advance. Looking forwards to watching the next demonstration!!!

    Alexey, I learned that the best way to "cross" in the voltas whatever type of samba voltas you do is to achieve a good "Latin cross" position throughout in every cross in the voltas. I see that your Latin crosses are much more open, so I call this "Open Latin Cross Position."
    And being inspired by Walter Laird probably and something like freedom from it, the samba popular variation called formerly the "Drop Voltas" became the Samba Locks later on in modified technique in Latin. As you know, the Drop Voltas consist of something like the Traveling Locks in Open PP or CPP, and then a traveling 3 Step side volta in Open Facing position. (This reminds me of the Butterfly from Polka dancing!)
    Volta comes from the Portuguese "voltar", which is also akin to the German "walzen" - both mean "to turn."

    Hi Alexey, I love your videos and really appreciate the instruction. My only suggestion would be maybe have your back to the camera as it would be easier to follow the instruction especially with hip directions and movement!

    there is no bounce action in voltas...

    • @ballroomwithalexey3951
      @ballroomwithalexey3951  6 років тому +4

      menlzky Bounce is not used only at “Quick” timing. In Volta’s (1a2) we actually have to bounce.
